Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Well, slashandburn seems to be our wild man and therefore a neutral at best, so vote:slashandburn.
Methinks that Glenn doth protest too much his faith in our lord, but if he is weak, that can be excused
I propose a duel: Glenn vs. Secura If Secura wins, we will let Glenn's fawning nature slide. If Glenn wins, then we execute him in the morning.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Enough to make straight-up defense against it impossible, and ensure any infiltrators could not stop it by withdrawing support either.
Keeps people busy. Consider it "lynch II". You obviously need some sort of consensus anyway.

O Lord Naritsugu! I bow before you as but a servant of the people, though I be weak yet I remain loyal to you! Never shall you hear me speak out in doubt of you and I shall place my vote on all those who dare post anything which may be perceived as a lack of faith in your wisdom.
Sorry to see you go so soon ATPG, I am glad we have someone else to take up the standard. Not many are trained as town or vigilante organisers and I appreciate the amount of dedication it takes. Thank you.
Is the group resolving on who to vote for also? If so I will wait for communication before making my decision for today.

Effective early, though after a while (how long? don't know), people will be needed for defense.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Why did the vig group attack slash, and why did he survive? Those are my questions.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
I agree; It seems Slash has a pretty special role. Knowing anything at all would be nice.

I would like to know who attacked him.

The vig group targeted Lord of Lent; we don't know who attacked slashandburn, but it's obvious that he survived because he was stronger than his assailants.

3 people attacked slash, that's also a vig group. And if he had been stronger than them they would be dead I believe.
Didn't one of the early solo attacks have a guy with a wooden sword? I wouldn't be surprised if that was slash.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
From what he's told me, Pizza organised seven people to attack Lord of Lent; why there were an additional three present, I do not know.
Whoever the second vig group was, it wasn't organised by Pizza.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Just to clairfy what I said earlier, based on the write-ups from the two nights, I believe slashandburn is the solo killer who killed Renata. They both are described as wild and barbaric and use a wooden sword.
Also, there is one way for the town to have a net increase in strength via duels, if there is a duel involving at least one 0 strength individual, then the winner will gain 1 strength and the loser will die. We lose a player through that, though, so I think it's a net loss.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Don't runaway wagon him. Good default lynch, but question him and discuss other suspects.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Looking at other suspects, what piqued your curiousity about Glenn, auto?
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Only ATPG was attacked by scum, so we need find out who did it. So we have two vigs attcks and only one worked, so I do want to know how Slashandburn survived, so I will wait until I hear from him.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Are there people out there, other than me, who has an attack strength of zero?
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
First of all, vote: slashandburn. I think he's an SK.

After the victory with ATPG Sasaki is probably at 3 strength. You don't want to make any one too strong, particularly Sasaki. If he's pro-town it makes him an easy kill for mafia to get rid of 5 points of defense in 1 night kill. If he's anti-town it gives more oomph to mafia's attacks. And if he's Sasaki, someone will surely die because of this.
Call me paranoid but I think he's probably after me based on his challenge yesterday. I don't have anything in my PM to indicate this, so it may be just Sasaki roleplaying. Either way I'm looking to improve my strength rating. Right now I have a low rating, I welcome any challengers. If I win good for me, if not, then at least we find someone who has a high rating and is probably a special role.
duel: Yaropolk vs Reenk Roink I expect him to attack me with an inflatable baloon and a fish.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
FOS : slashandburn - how strong must you be to survive a 3 headed assault? Be you good or evil?

I'd argue against this: From my point of view, the writeup suggests that Slash lives despite being defeated. He seems strong, yes, but he's ultimately overpowered and only survives because of some inhuman endurance.
I don't think that's raw strength speaking, I think it's an ability.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
What I meant was "he probably has similar or greater strength" and was boiling it down to game mechanics rather than the narrative of the writeup; since re-reading it, I've concluded that my initial belief was incorrect.
Speaking of the writeup... now that it's been amended for Pizza's death, it seems that only one mafia attacked him; it's possible that the other may have blended in with the Lord of Lent vigilante attack.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
@Renata, I just didn't like his over-the-top paean to our lord. I think being a scyophant is only acceptable if you're weak. Therefore, we should check if he is weak. Whether we actually kill him if he is not is something to be decided tomorrow. Really he just seemed like as good a duel candidate as anyone.

Lack of wisdom? Like what you just posted? Hmmm... Interesting...
Slash survived the attack, maybe because he was attacked by people with low strength ratings?

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Why do you FOS me? :)
Edit: re reading your post I see why... but having zero strength it seems rather pointless attacking.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
I have a neutral role, my goal is survival, i killed renata on night one because i thought she was suspicious. My character can survive one combat loss at night due to his incredible endurance.
Alone I am stronger than almost anyone but as you saw a group can defeat me.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
I can win with the town because my goal is survival so i will offer my assassin services humbly.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
What's your strength level?
unvote
To think about it, this might be a game where we don't kill the SK right off.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Slashandburn has an attack power of 8 or over. (the three attackers on him were 2,2,4)
I was asked to join that group, but Pizza was wanting me to attack Lord of Lent (which I did.) for some sort of masterplan.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
No, that's impossible. It sounds more like he had a 1 shot kill immune.
However, I'm thinking that your 4-strength guy is mafia. If the renata was an sk kill then there was only one other kill.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Slash's powerlevel is over 9000!!!!!!!
jK.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
hmm, so we want:
A) slash's power level, I might have a plan for this.
B) The identity of the strength 4 person, because we have reason to believe they are mafia.
Meantime, vote:Beskar
