As far as I'm concerned, those obsessed with outing claimed vigilantes on D2 need to be lynched. That's precisely what a mafia who was too busy recruiting to be murdering would want for those vigilantes.
Plus, the general sloppiness of assuming you're making excellent choices while also not bothering to look up who Charles Gunn is.... you're a much better player than that my Tin friend.

So I guess your vote for me then is an indication you think I'm sloppy when I'm scum?

I think you're bold, brash, risk-taking, and unafraid when scum. And my response is always the same, call you out on it.
Gotta go to work though. If you have reason to convince me to leave you be, drop it in mah box.

Your response is to always call me out on it? That's a bit of an exaggeration. I've only been scum in a game with you twice. Once you were my partner, and the other time you were a serial killer and tried to keep me from getting lynched. The only times you've called me out on being scum is when I'm not.
[edit]Forgot about Pirate Ship Mafia. I can't remember what your role was then, so perhaps you did target me then and I have forgotten.

Charles Gunn is a good guy, though; the manner of the kill correlates with the claim, since he used a crossbow with bolt/stake, rather than just running in biting necks and whatnot.
I've been informed that a vigilante was behind the Warman kill last night too, though I'm a little cautious about this one considering that the kill was somewhat more brutal and their claim feels a bit iffy; however, if this is true as well and there's been no mafia kills so far, go figure what they were doing last night, bearing in mind that this is a game of high conversion.

About dcmort: I just played a game with him as scum and he was all but paralyzed by the role; this sort of impulsive behavior feels more like him as a townie.

Let me get this straight. BOTH N1 killers revealed to you, both claim vigilante, and you believe them both enough to claim there were no mafia kills on N1 in a 35 person game? Did they explain WHY they revealed to you?

No, that isn't entirely the case; Charles Gunn revealed to me as I mentioned, while the other 'vigilante' revealed to Gunn and I learned of this information though him.
I believe Gunn, but as I said I'm weary of the other claimant; however, I will stand by my theory that the mafia were recruiting last night rather than killing. It's a game about vampires, after all.

Why did Gunn reveal to you? What was the reason given for the other person targetting warman, and why did they reveal to Gunn? How did they even know who Gunn was?

Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [In play]
Well Tin, they targeted me because they probably just didn't like me. :laugh4:

And Fluffy hasn't respnoded to explain Oh hmm hnn recruitment vote: Zack, either. Did you or did you not find Yaropolk to be suspicious based on what dcmort had to say?
Sorry about that, was out on a college visit/interview.
I was really just surprised at the fact that someone would attempt a recruitment so early, given that they don't know if the person is even recruit able or not; quite the gamble, really.
As for my vote, it was mostly meta-gaming/a placeholder.
Give me a few minutes to look over everything I missed, and I'll change my vote.

I'm not going to help you figure out who Gunn is since I think he should be kept alive for now, but I will summarise the rest of your questions as best as I can, from what I know.
- Gunn picked the other vig to kill, contacted them privately and informed them of this.
- Under pressure, the other vig revealed and they shared roles with one another to some extent.
- The two apparantly used random.org to decide one another's targets; Gunn had Warman for the other vig, they had ACIN for Gunn.

Any reason for this vote?
EDIT: LOL AT ME. I'm saying someone else's posts are random.
Oh, irony.

Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [In play]
This is all kinds of messed up...who pm's someone, says "I'm going to kill you", has the other person revealed as a killer as well, and then agrees to take the other person's word that they random.org'd the kill, and then reveals to someone at random and claims they did the kill not randomly at all?
And if mafia can recruit night one we're in for a rouggggh game. edit: why would all of the mafia be recruiting? Surely they have someone who can do a kill. Very suspicious.
-
Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [Sign-Ups]
vote: Tincow. He's got decent reasons for targeting ATPG and Secura, but the more I think about it the more it seems like cover for an ulterior motive. dcmort's move is more of a late-game gambit for a mafioso if anything, and it certainly makes sense that the mafia faction(s) would be out recruiting on night one, especially in a game about vampires.

This game draws some inspiration from the Legend of Zelda game that was hosted over at TWC; from what I can remember of that game, the mafia and cult started with only one player each, which meant they had to recruit to bolster their numbers or risk dying out early.
-
Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [In play]
Madness. But that makes night one killing a define pro town thing, potentially game winning.
This random.org thing needs explaining however.

Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [In play]
Tally.
4 dcmort (Yaropolk, Capt Blackadder, Khazaar, classical_hero)
3 ATPG (Csargo, TinCow, gibsong)
3 TinCow (ATPG, Renata, Cecil)
1 Zack (Fluffy)
1 Seon (Chaotix)
1 Romanic (pever)
1 Sasaki (Sprig)
1 Link (Winston)
1 Winston (Sasaki)

16 not voting (everyone else)

My placeholder vote will stay for now.

There are so many things wrong with this I don't even know where to start.
1) Pro-town roles do not kill N1.
2) Pro-town roles do not select targets with random.org.
3) Pro-town roles do not reveal to people they think need to die that they are a power role.
4) Pro-town roles do not find out that the person they think needs to die has the ability to kill, and then spare that person.
I will back off a little on #1, if what you say about game structure is true, but 2, 3, and 4 are still major problems with these people. This looks a lot like a scum duo both trying to disguise their scuminess with a poorly-planned vig cover, using each other as their alibi.

Idk depends on what game
Oh and Vote Tincow to at least cause a tie. That will stay there as I will probably be afk when the writeup comes around

Re: BuffyVerse Mafia: Apocalypse Now [In play]
DC mort claimed to be plain LA townie to me, yet was not succeptible to recruitment by Angel Investigations. Either he was not fully truthful, or recruitment does not work the way I expected it to (Angel recruiting from LA, Buffy from Sunnyvale).
One possibility is that I can only recruit cannon Angel allies. If you have an Angel aligned role (Oz, Faith, Cordelia) please step forward and I'll recruit you tonight. I can also try recruiting one of the d1 murderers since they are supposedly from LA and Angel aligned.
In either case, I think the argument between atpg and tincow can be settled with me confirming alognment of killers via recruitment attempt. They both seem to have good points and we should hold off lynching them.
I think Sasaki with his annointment should be lynched, but I'm not taking vote off DC mort yet to avoid creating 3 way tie.

As I said, I trust Gunn.
However, I'm really struggling to trust the second vigilante; they have claimed to be Vanessa Brewer, which looks fishy in itself, but what occured in the writeup doesn't seem to correlate with that character's physical abilities and fighting style.
Additionally, I approached Vanessa within the last hour and the player claimed that the targets were chosen via RNG, hence what I wrote in my post; however, this didn't correlate with what Gunn stated when I reviewed our conversation just now.
I get the feeling that Vanessa has had to do all these things to appear town to Gunn, otherwise he'd have kept her as a target and she'd have been killed; not sure she's mafia, but serial killer is plausible.
