I think at least 4 or 5 characters had such an ability. I think the only person who found out they had such a power in time for it to actually matter was Red_Spy;
If Red knew his credits could regenerate, and he also located Chaotix, he could tell Chaotix to steal from him every night, and the two of them would grow powerful in credits together. But Red_Spy went inactive about a round or two before he and Chaotix were killed off, and no one ever utilized their regenerative power.
It would have been very useful, as it was the only way that people could actually create new money besides their 10 credit income per night. It could have been very, very powerful.... and it wasn't used.
Stealing in general was under-utilized until the final rounds.
Also, :laugh4: @ Womanizer womanizer womanizer.

Ooops. I think it was Renata who suggested a couple of people to bus driver, and I chose you. :sweatdrop: The Chaotics knew it because God Emperor infiltrated the townie group.
Regarding dice rolls - On the one hand, my 30% bus driving item succeeded four times in a row, on the other I failed to steal (10%) for 8 rounds. It all balances out I guess!

It was my fault, though it wasn't intentional. I can't remember exactly why anymore, but I really wanted you alive. I had some weird blind spots from time to time, trying to keep so many balls in the air. The bus drive was intended to protect Romanic; as a quiet player whom Romanic was more-or-less vouching for I was quite confident you would be neither vigged nor attacked by the mafia: you were perfect! For protecting Romanic. Romanic, on the other hand, was pretty much the worst possible switch for you. And I never saw it, until you died. Biggest WT:daisy: did I just DO moment of the game.
GE did quite well to disguise his pleasure with this idiotic plan, I'm sure (though my other option for the switch was Psychonaut, who was also Evil).

Oh, that's right, the final decision was yours, I forgot. And GE didn't actually know who you'd chosen until after the fact, I think (though he'd been exposed to the reasoning and the top candidates). Still, Ironside was my idea.
The Chaotics must have been thinking Romanic was passing ATPG fivers under the table for a while there.
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
Did God Emperor "infiltrate" the townie group, or was he just randomly invited?
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
Better, he pretty much started it. We were talking about people who were likely town and not so much around about the time of the ACIN bandwagon; his vote there had curried considerable favor with me. We mentioned Shlin, Zack, a few others. I wanted to try to create effective protectors. And unless I completely misremember, it was GE who suggested that I get in contact with the people we'd discussed. (As an aside, this was the actual reason I first called for vigs, not because I actually wanted to kill anyone. It converted to trying to kill suspects outright once the protection ideas kept consistently not working out.)
Of course, GE was happy enough for me to do all the leg work and get all the flak. :laugh4:

Smart managers delegate responsibility.
Then they build up a nice nest egg and prepare their golden parachute.
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
The Chaotic team worked me over something fierce. Getting my own back with that victory was rather sweet. :beam:

I giggled so much over this. I know GE in real life, so a couple of his talks with you and Romanic (and shlin, I think) took place with me sitting in the same room. He laughs when his manipulations pay off

The more I read of this thread and the QTs the more I regret not having participated... So from an outsider view it looks like people had a lot of fun with this!
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
Oh GOD I didn't even think of that. You two must have had a blast.

Heh, you always seem to think I'm likely town. :clown:

There's a lot of things we could discuss about balance but I won't if no one cares to here, and I don't know who ATPG's prior extensive posts were even addressed at, but I'm assuming it's not me since I hadn't really commented on much yet.
I agree that the team victory's worked out pretty well. My comments on balance and suggestions for the future would have little of it about "paper balance," which mostly was good, I'd agree, but other things that made for frustrating or unfair gameplay for many if not most players, even though, yes, some of it was ultimately leading to a closer conclusion of the game which maintained more chances of different victories.

I do, don't I. Usually I'm right. :beam: Seriously though I should probably lynch you whenever I *don't* get a strong town feeling from you by about day three. It's probably the only chance I have.

I seem to remember you vehemently criticizing me for supporting the pursuit of team victories...
But as for the balance of the game's design, I agree that for such an extremely complex game with so many players, you thought it out exceptionally well, ATPG. I think one benefit of the multiple faction set-up, which I didn't see mentioned already, was that it gave Evil players (townies) motivation to kill off certain players before they could actually deduce who the ultimate threats (Chaotics, etc) were. I liked the bloodthirsty nature of the game, and was even a bit shocked at the number of deaths of Night 1. Very entertaining! I don't think there's many players here capable or willing to host such an extravagant game. :2thumbsup:
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
team victory means Chaotic, Evil, Good, Neutral, and Serial Killer, not the other secondary victories and goals players had.
Re: Askthepizzaguy Mafia II: The Revengening [Concluded]
Ah, I see. I forgot the distinction between Team and Faction.
