is there a set point as to when you become a member or will it just happen?
i was thinking it would be at 75 or 100 posts but i don't know for sure..
10,000th member would be a pretty cool title! ~:)

We don't use post count. We look at level of contribution, ability to "play well with others" , and continuing interest (measured by repeat visits to the site). In addition to running their own forums, our 30-member volunteer staff keeps a special eye out for new members and their contributions.
So, how can you influence that process? Keep doing what you're doing: visit often, contribute or help where you can, be friendly. It will happen.
thanks i'll keep being friendly and visiting often, i think this site is great...

Welcome Leftenant!!! Do some exploring, there's some techies here that will make your "crap" computer run like a well-tuned gaming beast. The Tech libraries a good spot to check first. Get to know the folks here and they'll be more than happy to help you!!! ~:)
Hello Leftenant Moley and let me add my "Welcome to the Org!" ~
There may not be any Loo-tenants in your land, but in lieu of sending your post to Tech-land, maybe you could let us know a tiny bit more about your rig. 32MB vid is indeed stretching its ability to render RTW well...but it has been done. Please run dxDiag & post the report here (or in the Apothecary, our tech forum) https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=15
we'll get you sorted mate.
See what I mean Leftenant, you have posted 2 messages in the guild and you have expert help already trying to give you some help!!! I love this place. I couldn't get RTW to even install on my machine and these guys got it DONE. Just be sure when you get everything running, come back and tell us some battle reports. Again, welcome to the best TW site on the net.
**recieves 21 lashes from Creative Assembly**
err, I mean the best "unofficial" TW site on the net!!! ~D
Craterus, that's the spirit, a brand new member welcoming others who are almost as new as you. 90 posts already, a very active member.
Dave and AdrianII, couldn't you hold this 'fight' somewhere else, this whole thread is full of your posts, please move to frontroom. :whip:
Welcome leftenant moley, why don't you try STW (if you can find it somewhere, it's kind of old. ~;) ) in stead of RTW? it's great!
WELCOME joker and king ragnar!
btw: king R, if you become full member you'll get lots of more avatar's to choose, so keep posting! ~;)
drisos, there is no fight between Adrian and I, this is just the sort of friendship we have. You see, I'm always right and he's always wrong. Opposites do attract you know. ~D
Hi, I'm Malachi. I came across this site only recently, but playing MTW since it came out and have become an avid lurker. I was so impressed by Katank's Early Turkish blitz that I felt I had to join if only to say well done. ~ Please also permit me the honour of a bow to the noble Froggbeastegg for her unsurpassed scholarship; your work has proved most useful, especially in encouraging me to move from a production line approach to my armies to a valour based one. My victories are now sweeter and my defeats more comprehensible. I look forward to expanding my understanding of the game and perhaps even to contributing to it. I live in Cambridge, UK and work in the field of mental health.

Hey everybody!
Ive been lurking for awhile in the org forums and just registered now.
Ive played shogun, medievil and rome on the day they came out and they are still some my favourite games. ~D
ps. Happy Easter ~
Well, I have been here before, although the last time, according to this, was the 6th June 2004, which is actually quite some time ago. I was in charge of some wierd hybrid game where people took up roles as governors/generals etc of different provinces in MTW. Of course, personal problems and some unrelated problems forced me to quit that idea, which was annoying as it was going well, but as I have gotten over them (mostly) I have more time to dedicate to this site.
It is good to be back.
WELCOME BACK! you sure have been out for a while ~;) ~
WELCOME BATAN! ~ enjoy the forums
WELCOME NobleRubberChicken!! ~ enjoy the forums
And good to have you back Grothgar.
Hearty welcomes to NobleRubberChicken (love the name ~:) )
and Batangueno, who we will call "Bat".
~ welcome to the Org!!
Hi all. I have been a viewer of this esteemed forum for some time but have only just decided to contribute. The shame weighs heavy on me. :shame:
welcome jammy dodger! ~ :cool4:
Greetings to all. I have been quietly browsing this forum for about 6 months now. I am in debt to Frogbeastegg for her comprehensive and eminently readable RTW Guide. Other threads started by many others have also provided me with useful information. My main purpose in breaking my silence is to thank the Guild and its members for sharing such a large body of generally excellent and useful RTW information.
By way of brief history, I am an old time internet gamer and an even "older timer" Avalon Hill and SPI war-gamer (the Squad Leader Series, Panzer Leader, etc). I enjoy real-time strategy games, delighting as much in the learning & employing of tactics as I do in actually winning the game - although winning is ALWAYS the preferred outcome! I enjoy RTW and play it online regularly, although I do so under a different ID (that I will be happy to share in order to arrange for a game).
Again .... Greetings and thanks.
