They are actually slowely but surely getting there.
Doubtful. He'll need that midfield to develop some chronic injury problems to keep any kind of regular place, and his own injuries are becoming more of an issue now. Regardless, I suppose he'll enjoy being part of that squad, and he'll actually be praised for any slick backheels to Iniesta just outside the box.
[Will be glad when this tedious episode is over.]
Spurs against Everton has been called off.
that might be true but look at the corpses they left behind. and besides look at the time it took. more proof that buying yourself a title is not so easy. it takes time and teambuilding... so they mightve well have invested in some youngsters instead of buying a new squad every year.
I'm glad the UN stepped in to say this sort of behaviour is unacceptable. Torture should never be a part of Western society.
That's disingenuous, I could point to his stats and show how he's a better player than any of the 3 starting mids for Farcalona, but I won't.
A beautiful game the first El Clasico this year so far.
Arsenal are below us. ∴ crap.
:creep:
[Gasp.]
With any luck, this more zealous version of Psychonaut would then be spared any cidre-induced, keymash meltdown that may come from over here when the mighty Bolton finally grind my already fading hopes for this season into a fine paste. Cahill curling another perfect one in at the library? That'd be fitting.
If not them [or the unflushable turd down at the "DW"], it'll be Park again.
Never had a liking for any Spanish clubs, but I think Getafe just won me over.No videos with boobies please. - I didn't provide a link to the video, only an article about the video. I did warn about the video's content.Quote:
In a desperate bid to build its fan base, Spanish football club Getafe has released a video urging fans to become sperm donors in order to breed more season ticket holders.
The tongue-in-cheek video opens with a fan standing in front of an empty stand under the words: "There's a problem: there aren't many of us." Then the voiceover tells us there is a solution, as the camera pans to the fan's crotch. We next see him in a sperm donor clinic collecting a plastic container. He is handed a DVD entitled Zombies Calientes de Getafe, or Getafe's hot zombies…
I saw that video in spanish, had no idea what on earth was going on, thank you for explaining it. :laugh4:
Actually the one I saw was slightly different, here's the one Skotsko linked to anyway:

Lol. Top 5, yeah. Well nothing wrong with having dreams or being ambitious. But top 15 would be more than nice, if you ask me.
That Getafe video is pure comedy gold. And I'm sure everybody would rent hot Getafe zombies.
I also liked the CNN article on the promising Belgian youth, especially this:
"In 2001 we developed a new vision to develop young players in Belgium. We gave all the clubs a brochure ..."
This is pure Belgium.
Yeah just a guy trying to get the honour which actually a few clubs deserve. Genk and Standard mainly, but many smaller ones as well. RSCA who always try to take credit for Lukaku on the other hand doesn't, the only thing they should take credit for is brainwashing the kid. Brugge as well, only recently are they doing some good with the kids. Many of the players listed were grown abroad anyway.
"This prize crop of players is not, though, the fruit of careful cultivation by the Belgian Football Federation. Many players move to Holland or France while still in their early teens. Some Belgian clubs, however, have increased their commitment to youth development: Standard Liège have invested €18m (£15.2m) in their academy, producing talents such as Fellaini and Witsel, while Genk's nursery has also been lauded. Arne Nilis, the 17-year-old son of the former Aston Villa player Luc Nilis, was recently snapped up from Genk by PSV Eindhoven. Lukaku's father was also a decent player – a former Congo international – and Hazard's dad had a career in the Belgian second division. Mostly, though, the current plethora of young Belgian talent is just a generational quirk."
Aye.
The first goal of Belgian talent is to move to France or the Netherlands, in their early or mid-teens. Hazard is the product of the French youth system, Vermaelen of the Dutch one.
I do think there are an awful lot of very talented Belgian players around. It is about time they qualified for a major tournament again. I want to see them in action again, would love to see some major nation make the error of underestimating the Red Devils, only to get some teeth knocked out by 'em.
Gah! I don't need to see Costa Rica versus Bahrein at a World Cup. Gimme Belgium - Germany or some such!
What a game from Benfica. Especially new signing Witsel!

everyone is allowed one bad game
While Rhy's arrogant fools were being put in their place by NK Maribor, Shamrock Rovers were putting everybody's favourite jugos to the sword. Equaliser worth a look:

Nice goal. Rovers for the Cup!

Arsenal.com confirms that the club will continue its 'Kids for a Fiver' policy for the Carling Cup home tie vs Shrewsbury Town.
Sadly the club also confirmed it applies to the transfer budget and recruitment policy as well.
Rather than discuss the scoreline at Old Trafford, I'd rather ask you guys "what now for Wenger and Arsenal?"; the midfield has been left wanting with the departure of both Nasri and Cesc, and the defense was absolutely shambolic, particularly Djourou.
I get the feeling that Arsene has left it far too late in the day to do anything this side of the January transfer window, too. :/
I'll tell you what I think when you sign up for Capo.
Psycho, get down from that window. He's surely going to sign somebody.
Already have, treacle.
The thing is, who could Arsenal sign? Who would even join a team so blatantly in disarray? I like Arsenal, but I just can't see them even getting a top six finish on the back of their performance today... those were probably the easiest three points we've taken in a long time, let alone against a 'Top Four' side.
Hee hee, good girl, knew I'd get you eventually. :wiseguy:
Now Arsene, that chap is pretty darn lucky the transfer window is coming up. I have never been one to advocate sacking managers, Northern Ireland have had some awful ones over the years, but McMenemy is the only one I've ever actively wanted out, but I think he deserves the sack. Allowing the situation that has developed to develop is down to Wenger and Wenger alone. If he spent the summer trying to get Nasri and Fabregas to commit then he wasted the entire time, when he should have been replacing them immediately. The fixture list came out ages ago, he should have looked at it and realised, Liverpool at home, United and Newcastle away and two Champions League qualifiers, I need players in for those. Scott Parker is supposedly hours away from signing for Spurs, he's been available all summer, had he been in the centre of the park today they would not have lost like that. Cahill has been available all summer, he should have been playing today, Welbeck would not have shrugged him aside like a schoolboy for the first goal.
He appeared tactically naive today, and yes I do feel silly saying that about Wenger, but it's true. As much as anything, what was he playing at with those substitutions? Your right back goes off but you don't replace him, bizarre.
Oh, and Andriy Arshavin. Play with 10 men from the start, it would make no difference.
Anybody of you've seen Lukaku in action. How did he do in his first few minutes of Premier League football?
He's being hyped to much over here to get an objective opinion.
