I'll second Red Alert and Shogun Total War -- both had some excellent scenes. :yes:
As a Star Trek aficionado, I would also tip my hat to Birth of the Federation and Klingon Academy. The intro movie for BOTF had both excellent music & narration and felt very atmospheric, and the campaign intro movies for each of the 5 playable races were fairly well-done as well. As for KA, I have just five words for you: David Werner and Christopher Plummer. Nothing more needs to be said there. :2thumbsup:
I didn't want to mention that one because it's so clearly in a league of it's own. The in game assassination movies, the throne room diplomatic visits, the end game movies, it's all first class.Quote:

Call me soppy, but I loved the cutscenes in Final Fantasy 8.
The ninja taking out two guards with one spear toss, the ninja dual-dagger throw, the sword kata in the dojo, and sword practice in the fields are my favorite mini-scenes of all time. I love the music in the modern-day trailer at the very end of a game. Hell, you already said it: to this day--it all rocks.Quote:

Several others would be ones from Company of Heroes, though weren't as good as WiC and the COD series. There are probably others I liked, but these ones jump out at me currently.
