Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
I've never asked a girl out for coffee, I don't think Irish men are allowed to.

You're from Northern Ireland, aren't you?
What's the deal there, you ask girls out for "a pint and a bombed police station"?

Mmmm... I was engaged not long ago, had career set, baby clothes planned... And said goodbye.
So, well, I could have been. I was the one who walked away from the one girl in my life. Mainly because I got flowered up, and now deeply regret it. I found my twin soul, engaged her, my dad died in cancer, I took care of him for a year, got into a drunken/drug state... Lost her... Because I was a complete arse...
No mate, I wont give anyone advice on how to get a fully functional life. However, when it comes to asking a girl out for a date, you probably can't get a better guide than me. At least not on a gaming site.

You ARE somewhat aware of gender roles, aight?

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
I was in before the EDIT/spoiler in your post #36.
As to the edited spoiler, how could you have one, without the other?
Again, you ARE aware of gender roles ?

There are indeed more ways than one to skin a cat, but some of them are absolute rubbish, and far from what the OP asked for, which was good advice.
EDIT: Or do you honestly think he should keep on walking by the most interesting girl he has met, in the hope that she one day will just throw herself at him?
Be real here bro.
You are not here to argue me, but to help him :)

Isn't the Frontroom the relationship advice sub forum?

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
Some of us like to take it from the back you got a problem with that

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
The women I usually chase are charmed by a few well-timed Simone de Beauvoir-quotes.
I don't think I have much advice to give in this thread.

I agree with Swen
I feel unclean

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
Oh will the two of you just get on?
Kadagar, Strike - I like both of you. The one thing I positively don't like is this antagonism.
Honestly, I want to bang your heads together sometimes.

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
In other news, Fragony almost managed to type a grammatically correct sentence.

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
my advice is to simply not waste your time: you got better things to do I'm sure.
that and there's a good chance this won't work out. the pessimist in me.
if you still feel brave, just go up and talk to her. don't force it though.

Nothing wrong with that sentence

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
So @Shaka_Khan, any news?
To add on the current awkward flirt tactics. I've asked my current girlfriend out in the bathrooms of our work place. I was between her and the exit, that way, she couldn't get away. It was a marvolous ambush.

Other sentence, but that's perfectly acceptable, have you met would have been better though
Edit, ipad fail, directed at your post

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
"Did you met" is incorrect, though. Did you meet would be the correct form.
-
Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
O.k., I talked to her. I said "hello", but I couldn't think of anything else to say at that time. That's the problem. My mind tends to blank up when I'm around attractive girls. I think I was stiff if I remember correctly. I think it's because I lack confidence and was nervous.

Missed that

Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
walk up to her, and tell her this. "Hegel said it is our duty to fall in love and get married. Hegel also said he was the greatest thinker the world has ever known. Shall we get on with it, I don't have all day!"

And there you go. Best advice you can get. You'll get a straight-forward answer from her rather quickly.
Thread over.

Worst advice ever if you are nervous though. I don't know, just act natural SK.
Edit: few pointers
-it doesn't matter what you say
-it doesn't matter what you say
Finaly, best one
-it doesn't really matter what you say
-
Re: Attractive and Tall Woman at the Counter
Remember, women are people too.

Nervous guys can be endearing too. Or so every girl tells me.
