Ironic that he was one half of the Natural Disasters, and so many of his family have died by unnatural causes.
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread

You're sure? The natural disasters I know were Typhoon and Earthquake.
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Hummm Actually i think your right Leo! my bad. Tornado, Typhoon, easily confused!! :tomato:
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
The sandman is, was and ever shall be the man. Beer drinking, mad man that always gave violence on a grand scale and when he was hak in wcw his hardcore matches, although not as good as his ecw days, were great, especially against bam bam and raven.
By the way, i watched the iron man match the other day on raw and it was good but someone needs to maim eugene man, a particualr violent pedigree through a table should do the trick!
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
I do like the way Eugeene Hits rather lame versions of the Stone Cold Stunner and Rock Bottom on people and still knockes them out. Still there needs to be a come back for the Great one for me to truly get back into WWE, i just catch Bottom Line some nights after work. (Iron man match was quite good)
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
I like eugenes own moves too, like the Wirly Bird and "The Dog".

so orton won, thought so, and havign just watched the latest raw it seems that orton was indeed the one who splits, having been turned on by evolution, needless to say i am annoyed, i was looking forward to HHH gettign mobbed by evolution, and then having HBk come down to help him, sure knew it wasnt gonna happen, but i can hope cant i?
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
I watched some of it and it was awful, really awful. The undertakers match was so crap the fans were doing a mexican wave all the way through and that chokeslam through the car made me laugh because it looked terrible and i was expecting Eugene to get battered but that match was shite as well!
The only thing that i liked was seeing what HHH did to Regal last week on Raw, that was great ~
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
I miss the old Hardcore matches with Mick Foley and Al Snow. When the Hardcore title was made 24/7 it turned Shite.
Ken Shamrock's Ankle Lock was by far the best version of all the Ankle Locks. Kurt Angle's one desn't really look as if it works.
I only really watched up to the Dva dodgeball as I thought that Smackdown was quite poor. I remember the Ladder match for the Intercontinental championship with the Rock and Triple H. That was a match
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Couldn't agree more shades, its not as good as it was, those hardcore matches were great and the hell in a cell in 98 was, well the most enjoyable match i have watched. That was a match :knight:

":Kurt Angle's one desn't really look as if it works."
Well it does. I tapped out the second it was put on me. It is sooo painful. You need to be strong to do it though.Thats Why I like the crippler.
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Wow...there are wrestling fans here at the Org!?!?!?!
Speaking of great hardcore matches....
Shane McMahon vs. Kurt Angle at King of the Ring in a Street Fight.
Shane was put through 2 sheets of glass that made up the stage area
The first belly-to-belly suplex from Angle didn't put Shane thru and he landed right on his head. So they try a second time.....same outcome.
Finally he put Shane thru the glass and Good Ol' JR just freaked out.
Then Angle tries the same thing from inside to out and he landed on his head again. Finally both the guys had enough of the belly-to-belly suplexes and Kurt just grabbed Shane by the back of the head and tossed him face and shoulder first through the other glass.
Kurt eventually won with an Angle Slam off of and piece of plywood that was on top of the ropes in the corner. Both men were of course a bloody mess.
And I just sit there everytime I watch that match and say "Wow."
Let's see ........ Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk in the IWPA King of the Deathmatches series.
No Rope Barbwire Landmine and Exploding Ring
Oh yeah and a crapload of tacks
Oh yeah and the gratest barbwire match ever.....................
Terry Funk vs. Sabu for the ECW Heavyweight Title.
If you have ever seen it you know it ranks right up there on the list of hardcore. And if you get the chance to watch it...do it. You won't be sorry.

p.s. This is my first post in this fourm. I saw "Summer Slam" and said "Oh, I just gotta' look." Glad I did. ~
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Severed soul, that bit when shane is suplex into a wall and then lands on his head, christ that would have hurt.
One of my fav hardcore matches was Taz vs Bam Bam in ECW when Taz Roman suplexed(if you have seen some of his suplexs you will know how wreckless they are) Bam Bam through the walkway.
Holy Shit as they use to say ~D

I've had both done to me and when the person is standing up you can easily kick out of it but when he is on his knees you can't get out of it. I had it done to me and I limped for a week.
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Blind King, Yeah I've seen that suplex. Even better is when Taz suplexes Bam BAm off the walkway and into the crowd at another match they had.
When Taz does the suplex they of course both fall off the walkway. Bam Bam goes into the crowd and Taz comes down back of head first onto the steel guardrail.....ouch.
It should be said that I probably have most of the ECW tapes that were released by RF Video before all of the legal problems that Rob Fienstien is currently embroiled in. You got a favorite ECW match....just let me know, I have most likely seen it or have it ~:)

Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Fav ecw matches:
The hardcore match between New jack and i think his old tag partner Mustapha? Well some Big fat guy comes out and helps him and new jack and him are fighting on a balcony and they bith fall off, miss the table they are supposed to land through and crash straight to the concrete. It must have been a 20 foot drop.
So many of the dudley matches, especially when new jack would come out and a match between them against balls mahoney and i think spike dudley with the flaming tables. I heard big dick dudley died not so long ago and was sad about that man.
Also the when sid joined the federation and would cause complete destruction. Van dammes matches with Jerry lynn were fantastic displays of wrestling ability.
So many of sandman, dreamer and ravens matches.
Fav thing of all was when Tommy dreamer was choke slammed through at least 5 or 6 tables of a balcony by the man who use to be chaniz from DOA in the old wwf.
Holy shit i think we all shouted at that one!
I have about 10-15 ECW vids and there is so much violence with great and often disgusting moves( the tiger plex on sabu by Taz through a table which broke his neck, and by the looks of it i wouldn't be surprised if it did) was the reason i loved it so much.
Also Spike dudley vs Mike Awesome was great. Porr spike man. That guy is just born to go through tables in a sickening way!
Re: The Official Summerslam 2004 Thread
Well last night I got to see Wrestling Live for the first time.
It rocked. Cept for Taker vs JBL, that was shoot yourself boring AND THE ENTIRE TOUR WAS NAMED AFTER TAKER!! Imgaine their match at summerslam, taking twice the time with an 1/8 of the moves.
Eddie vs Angle was the main event and was f*cking hilarous. The 3rd match in the best of 5 series between Cena And Booker was ok.
I for one was greatly dissapointed by the fact that there was no car ramp. Meaning no Limo and even worse NO LOW RIDER!! ~:mecry: .
Not to mention NO ANNOUNCERS!!!!!!!
Suprise Suprise no titles changed hands, With taker being disqaulified and both spike and Paul London/Billy Kidman retaining their titles. Chavo wasn't there because of his injury ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: ~:mecry: , him there would have meant it would be a triple threat match for the cruiser wieght title, which would have been F*cking AWESOME!!
