thanks! i've been to Bristol and got plastered a few times, but the folks live in Herefordshire, proper rural. Theakstons is good.

Yeah, but they drink it neat and in large quantities. I swear the Poles I've met would drink battery acid if it said vodka on the bottle!

My girlfriend got me some really good Polish vodka. Nice stuff.

I bought the cheapest bottle of vodka I could find in the Czech Republic... That was nasty. £3 for a litre of anything alcoholic should have been a hint really.

I bought some quite good stuff back from Prague when I was there...for about £5 I think. Plus the local novelty rubbish called Berekovka or something.

Same for Bulgaria, decent vodka, cheap (and clothing!! I really recommend Bulgaria). I can't always afford Stolichnaya, which is about the best I can find in the UK without going to specialist shops.
