Fuji, Fiji, whatever. I think they're my new favorite. Nice and firm, taste and look like a blend of my two favorite kinds, red and yellow. Pleasant, distinctive, and complex taste.
As a matter of fact, they're exactly what I like on a woman!

That was strange. As a matter of fact, I just ate an apple (Jonagold) and while I've had irritated skin inside my mouth after eating an apple before, this time it really felt like something was constricting my throat for a quarter of an hour. Creepy.
.
I'm still consuming an average of 3-4 apples a day, no matter the colour.
.
How amazing, Mozaphere. I went through a very similar 'rediscovery' of fruit in general several years ago, apples in particular within the past year. I wonder if your body craves some inherent substance found in apples more as your body gets older (like arsenic).
I rotate which ones I eat. I started with Red Delicious, but I'm not such a big fan of them anymore. Not enough taste. I rotate between the light, delicate slightly spicy flavor apples like Fuji and Gala to the tart/complex Macintosh/Braeburn variety. But I'll take any of them, even Red Delicious.
I'm also addicted to pears (partial to Bartletts and Anjou), oranges (California navel are best for eating... I find peeling oranges and eating the individual sections oddly calming) bananas (I don't think you get too many varieties of these) and plums. I like grapes and cherries, but they don't carry in a lunch bag as well.
I thought tomatoes were technically a fruit, because of the sugar content (which is how that distinction gets made).
.
I don't discriminate between colours but nothing can beat the red jewel from the heart of Kappadokia Pontika (Amasya).

It's quite expensive compared to the ordinary kinds yet worth every penny.

No, technically, tomatoes are fruit. Anything with seeds is a plant ovary (i.e. fruit).
How can anyone like red delicious? So for me it's fujis, Jonathans, galas, give me something with flavor and crispness!
been on a bit of a citrus kick for quite a while now. but as far as apples go, i'm partial to gala, fuji and pink lady. golden delicious is the old standby, though.

I love Jonathans, but they're only available for a short season, so I usually end up stuck with a more durable variety.
Ajax
I nice way to eat apples is to cut them in half, carve out the seeds, spread peanut butter on them and stick a bunch of chocolate chips or raisins in the peanut butter. Works very well with bananas too. Not so much oranges.
Peanut butter?????
Sounds really....urgh.
A good way to eat apples is to put them into a pancake or an apple turnover IMO.
I like Pink Lady...not as artificial as other breeds.
We have a historical trail in my hometown & it is dedicated to Albertus Magnus, a Dominican friar and priest who achieved fame for his comprehensive knowledge of and advocacy for the peaceful coexistence of science and religion. Besides that wiki-knowledge he was a very dedicated friend of nature and described a lot of plants and their effects on health.
On this trail now, one can find old fruit breeds...amongst are tiny green-red apples & those taste very fruity & awesome. I always try to steal a few from the trees...Those apples stay fresh for weeks and weks, it is incredible. Hmmmm...apples.....
I eat 1-2 apples a day. I like Green Apples though. Sweet :-)
Perhaps the best thing is how easy oldish apples are to use in making a delicious apple crumble for desserts.
Bananas, apples and pears are what i eat, anything that releases exceedingly large amounts of juice, i dislike
Apple jucie, ok. Apples? Bleurgh. :clown:
Yes indeed! I like to lick the firm throbbing red skin before I put it in my mouth, and....Quote:

Tee hee, see here.
Hurray. I LOVE some types, and totally dislikes some others.
This one's adorable: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonagold
Hmmm, jonagold... sweet ~:)
I like oranges as well, the chance that they're 'not good' in much bigger than with apples.
Furthermore, bananes, peaches, mandarins, pears, mangos, watermelons... I love all. :beam: :clown:

Hey, that Jonagold chick is what I've been currently consuming. Somewhat like the Amasya but less juicy. :clown:

I'm eating the worst kind of apple I've experienced in my life. I don't remember what kind it is but it's reddish, taller than wide, has a slightly sour taste to it, and if sand could get soggy that's what it would be like inside.
He's the Shinigami (Death God) named Ryuk from the manga/anime Death Note who's exceptionally known as his addiction of apples after discovering them during his visit on earth.Quote:
