:beam: glad you like it. im afraid imageshack is failing atm, ill have it for you later
No problem
I have a request.. I know my character is too young at the moment but that doesn't mean that I can't have coats of arms now..
Anyway.. This is what I would like to see:
Shield in four sections.
Upper left part - 3 lions (like on the English banner) on red background
Upper right part - 3 golden fleur-de-lils(sp?) on white background
Lower left part - 3 golden crosses on white background
Lower right part - 3 golden crowns on red background
Since I am Prince(and not heir) then his crown on top of my coa.
imageshack appears to have forgiven me.
here you are Tristan:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
ibn Khaldun, I'll whip something up tomorrow. Are we adding Capetin Arms in the centre? Your Prince is a Capetin, after all.
Yes, please!
Could you please knock up a Neufville Coat of arms for me please?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neufvil...illeroy_family
do you want just essentially what is on that page? or any variations? you joining any duchy who's arms you want incorporated?
Just how it is is fine. I'm still deciding which Duchy to join, and I think it's looks perfect as it is historically.
cool. I do like it as it is. I've made the yellow slightly less lemony, but left it otherwise. Will show you just as soon as imageshack decides it likes me again...sorry for the wait.:wall:
ok. imageshack and I have overcome our differences, at least temporarily.
Ibn, I liked your ideas here, I think its turned out great:

Deg, you're doing an outstanding job once more...
It's pretty god damn impressive actually!!!
Well done Deg!
It's great, thanks deg!
Deguerra, please could you add a sentence under Philippe's CoA saying "Nutrisco et extinguo"
I nourish and extinguish? Remind me not to piss off the King. :sweatdrop:
Will do Tristan. Am going to friend's house for the moment, but will probably do it later tonight.
Thanks for all the praise guys :balloon2:
Are you happy with that Lorraine one OK?
And deg, I'm in no hurry...
Both the Lorraine and Champagne coat of arms look great, but to my eye they look a little busy together.
I'd prefer the Lorraine coat of arms alone, keep the coronet and have "Cruor Quod Ferrum" (Blood and Iron) as the motto if you can. I think my translation is correct, but I'd appreciate the opinion of any Latin scholars.
Thanks deguerra, the coat of arms are great for immersion and adding some character to the game. :2thumbsup:
You're really doing a wonderful job there, deguerra!
Could you make me this one:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Without the red thingy on top? That would be awesome!
deguerra, that is exactly what I had in mind!!! :2thumbsup:
Could you do one in sig size too??
Sorry guys, its late and I'm tired so I'll continue on the morrow.
OK, you're breaking my heart ;). The Arms of Champagne are so pretty. I just love that pattern. Oh well, I'll work them into someone elses. You'll get your boring Arms tomorrow :clown:
Hey Deg, it appears I was able to nab a avatar from the House of Rethel - however, I cannot for the life of me find their Coat of Arms, and I am not sure the House of Nevers one would fit.
:help:
http://www.eupedia.com/france/rethel.shtml
Is that what you are looking for?
Thank you - Hmmm...the House of Nevers CoA is looking more attractive. If anyone has any suggestions for spicing up the House of Rethels Flag, that would be helpful - possibly incorporating some elements of the Lorraine and Champagne CoA's?
Now what on earth does "Registestensis" mean? Latin experts, :help:.
For Eloi de Montferrat, I'll take a black lion on a white background.
I want it simple, though if you think it looks a bit naked then you might try to add three small crosses any which way you think is best.
And I'm really in no hurry. It's all fluff and I haven't even thought of a background story yet anyways.
Thanks in advance!
All right ladysirs, step right up, step right up.
I have an iggy siggy:

okdok, the second heat of the massed arms rally has begun.
I have on for Ituralde, made the Fleur de Lys slightly bigger and yellower:

Good lord. These are great Deg.
Deg, I think we are going to have to re-do mine.
The simple effectiveness with some of these other coat of arms has me thinking again.
Sorry.
Hard to please that man! :laugh4:
Thanks a lot for the shield, I love it, looks perfect, I'll take five of it!
Exactly what I had in mind! :laugh4:
You should think about the symbols you want in your coat of arms and stick with them.
For example.. I have lion represent bravery, crosses represent piety, crowns represent princes and those fleur-de-lis' represent Capetians. In the middle there is the kings banner to represent France. And the number 3 represent 3 brothers of King Philippe.
yes hard to please.:balloon2:
It's all too much.
Brittany, France, de Rohan and Saxony. There all on it and they are all relevant, but it's too much from the looks of things.
I made a slight changes in lions on my CoA. I hope you don't mind deguerra :beam:
Thanks again!
The intarwebs don't provide much information on the surname Perronne, but one website produced this coat of arms which I like the looks of even if it's totally made-up, which is likely the case:
https://img40.imageshack.us/img40/3051/peronne.jpg
Using the wolf/dogs heads (or something similar) and the black/white motif, would it be possible to do something similar, but with 5 heads instead of 3? One of the heads should be facing the opposite direction.
Could I have this... turned into a normal shield but with the bottom right corner being a black boar or boar's head on a white background?
I have a couple of requests.
For Hermant, would it be possible to have the coat of arms of the Yvelines department of France:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvelines
Apparently, it includes a village Jouy-Mauvoisin but most importantly it is just gorgeous, unlike the the other coats of arm I have found connected to Mauvoisin. If it is problematic to give a lowly knight the coat of a department, you could mix it up a little by adding a black line in the middle of the white lines or improvising in some other way.
On another request, I wonder if you could show me what "a cross fleury charged with a single Fleur de Lys" would look like? Perhaps blue background, gold cross and fleur de lys? I am not sure where the fleur should go - maybe upper left? I am looking for something appropriate for this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Fleur_de_Lys
thanks!
hehe. will get to all of you guys when I come back from skiing (yes, even AG :P). Sorry for those who have to wait, but skiing is skiing :D
This is what I found for de Rochefort:

Hey deguerra, can you make a small alteration to the ducal crown in my coat of arms? Can you make the blue gemstones white?
Hi Deguerra,
I've found some useful stuff and I would like you to consisder having a go at making the heraldry for my character seeing as you have a talent for it if you please.
I now serve the Duchy of Bretagne and The Order of the Fleur de Lys.
These are some useful sources:

edit: On second thought, could the white background be turned yellow as well?
ok, econ first.
siggy sized:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
as for the fleur de lys thing, I have two. Firstly, the exact description of the heraldry, I think, means that the fleur de lys is on the cross. that said, I'm not sure this is the best look. therefore, I've also included it in the corner, as you suggested:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
That's fantastic, deguerra.
The personal one is just too pretty. My character must not die (or my next character must steal his stuff!).
The fleur de lys things is great - I agree, the one with fleur de lys in the corner looks better, so I will adopt that for the Order of the Fleur de Lys. Would it be possible to make a siggie sized one? Thanks.
ok woad first:
edit: actually, sorry. needs some more work. back in a bit
econ: cool. changed it a teensy bit, so here it is in both forms:

Marcus Agrippa, this is what I have so far. As of yet, nobody has really incorporated dutchy or order elements into their personal arms, so I left it simple for now:

Nice looking ones! I especially like Marcus Agrippas one!:2thumbsup:
thanks deg.
The skills are...well, they're just too good. :beam:
Thanks a lot for the siggy sized one. It looks just beautiful. And all the other stuff. I think I have to kill all the other characters in the game just to grab those Coats of Arms for myself! :2thumbsup:
Hey Deguerra,
They're all looking good.
I had the thought of maybe icorporating a saltire due to being Scottish.
I have to say the one you've designed for me is great.
I would be honoured to use it.
Hey, I was wondering If I could get a coat of arms. I was hoping for The coat of arm's of Tarn (down below) with the Lion of Aquitaine on one side and a Axe crossed by a sword on the other. Or something to that effect.....
If you could help that would be great, thanks :2thumbsup:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Marcus: put the saltire in the slightly less obvious place, but I think it fits better there than behind the flower.
