Can I recruit a unit of Ioudaioi Taxeis in Hierosolyma in addition to a unit of Sphendonetai in Memphis? (I can't seem to find if the limit was 1 per turn or 1 per city per turn.) If I can't, I'd like the Ioudaioi Taxeis first.

Yes, you can.
Cool. Put 'em on my tab. :p
Could I hire one unit of Galatikoi Kluddolon and one unit of Mistophoroi Toxotai Kretikoi (both mercenaries)?
Treasurer Report - Summer, 267

*Recruited Heavy skirmisher cavalry for Myth, Sphendonetai and Ioudaioi Taxeis for Folgore and Mercenary Kretans and Galatians for TCV.
I'd like another unit of Mercenary Greek Hoplite Phalanx please I-K.
Treasurer Report - Autumn, 267

* johnhughthom, Skullheadhq and I lost 50% of the income due to the Rebel army in Memphis province.
EDIT: TCV will receive 261 mnai next turn from the battle he fought.
Arrgh...never knew tht trade route could be so annoying.
Are there any estate slots still available? If not, then I'm resigning my trade route
Yeah you can build one in Memphis. The rebels there are also gone now. Trade ships net you a lot more money though, so if you're reasonably active, that's what I'd go for.
This winter, I would like to:
- Recruit 1 unit of Machimoi Phalangitai in Alexandreia
- Recruit 1 unit of Machimoi Phalangitai in Memphis
- Donate 700 mnai to Alexandros Thraikikos (Myth)
I wish for my two hurt units to be retrained using my private funds.
I would like to donate 1 mnai to Myth to help cover his retraining.
OOC snide remarks? This is roleplaying remember? :D
The boundries of OOC and IC are a bit blurred in this thread. Still, johnhughthom's post is hilarious :D
I shall resign the Alexandreia-Salamis trade route.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios requisitions 6 Cargo Ships
You're lucky Ibn-Khaldun forgot to post the report for the winter or you would have missed it for this turn. Just tell me which trade route you would like to capitalize on and I'll set you right up.
Salamis to Tarsos please, based in Salamis.
Okay, lets hope I got everything right. Note: this is for the last turn, not this one. (For example, that's why Lysimachos isn't on this list.)
https://img695.imageshack.us/img695/...rreport267.jpg
(Edit: I noticed now some of those have positive expenditures. Though the numbers are correct and the calculation done right, there should be a subtraction mark before.)

Folgore and strategos roma did not resign their trade routes, and therefore earned no money.
The Celtic Viking decided to pay Paul D's ship tax for this turn so he could afford his 6 cargo ships.
I would like to re-sign my traderoute from Hierosolyma to Memphis and recruit one unit of Machimoi Phalangitai in Memphis.
I just realised I failed to report my privately owned units which I recruited in the past year and thus have committed tax fraud to a small degree. I'll calculate how much I owe the treasury and I'm willing to submit myself to whatever punishment the council deems fit. (A stern warning or a small fine seems in order...)
Ibn-Khaldum deducted the upkeep correctly, so I only missed payments for this winter.
The total amount of mnai I owe the state is 984 mnai.
My sincere apologies.
Are you sure you mean this winter, and not this spring? ~;p
Anyway, I'm quite sure I calculated all your units correctly for the winter report except for one of the sphendos. In the spring report it's true I missed them all; I can fix that at the same time as I advance the save, though.
In other words, I'm using my power as the Basileus to pardon you. If someone else have private units not listed in his SOT, I will pardon you too if you come out before I do this; if you don't, however, I might not be so merciful.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios requisitions 3 cargo ships.
His cargo fleet signs onto the Salamis-Antiocheia route based at Salamis
You can only have one trade route at a time, and though you may switch, the one you speak of is already taken by yours truly.
This should be a correct version of the spring report.
https://img836.imageshack.us/img836/...tspring266.jpg
Where did you say you took that one?
Fine, I stay on Salamis-Tarsus
Hmm, that's my mistake. I had assumed that, since you get both export and import, that line was crossed. Going back I see that was rash, and wrong. If you wish to change that, you can, but it won't happen until summer this year. :shame:
I wish to recruit three units of Toxotai Kretikoi (Kretan Archers). Once these are done the other missile units in the Heir's Royal Army may become defunct and serve elsewhere in the Kingdom.
I would like to resign my trade route and build an estate if possible in any province.
Sorry but I was away for a few days
Yes, it's possible in Memphis. You need to tell me what you want governing it though: toxotai, akontistai or sphendonetai.
https://img269.imageshack.us/img269/...portsummer.jpg
Three Toxotai Kretikoi setup for recruitment in Antiocheia for LeoCordis.
Three Cargo Ships built and trade route changed to Salamis-Alexandreia for Paul D.
One Pantodapoi Phalangitai setup for recruitment in Memphis for Folgore.
The Celtic Viking spent personal money to improve the religious infrastructure in Alexandreia.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios:
- requisitions 3 more Cargo ships
Hires 1 unit of Peltastai (1,218) at Diaspolos-Megale for his Private military.
I would like to recruit a unit of Machimoi Hippeis in Alexandreia this autumn.
All hail King Ptolemy the merciful! I am most grateful. :)
https://img52.imageshack.us/img52/4338/autumn266.jpg
Recruited a unit of Machimoi Hippeis for Folgore.
Built three cargo ships for Paul D. However, there were not enough money to hire the Peltastai. (Will do so this winter instead unless stopped.)
Retrained The Celtic Viking's private units.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios:
- requisitions 4 more Cargo ships
Continue Peltastai in Diaspolis-Megale (I don't see why I didn't have enough money? With the 3 cargo ships and the troops, I spent 2,718- do you count upkeep as a true expense, or do you subtract it from current treasury after purchases are made?)
I would like to recruit another unit of Machimoi Hippeis in Alexandreia. (2 more units and my army is complete. :P )
You had 2996 mnai. You bought 3 ships for 1500, getting you up to a total of 12 ships. The upkeep for each ship is 50, so 50*12 = 600. The fleet tax (for the Trieries) is 151 for each active player. 1500 + 600 + 151 = 2251. 2996 - 2251 = 745 mnai, which is less than the 1218 mnai required.
https://img832.imageshack.us/img832/...twinter266.jpg
Built 3 cargo ships and recruited a unit of Peltastai in Diaspolis-Megale for Paul D.
Recruited a unit of Machimoi Hippeis for Folgore in Alexandreia.
(Paul D, if you wonder why I only built 3 cargo ships for you, it's because you already had 12 and there's a limit of 15.)
Lysimachos Ptolemaios recruits a unit of Peltastai in either Memphis or Diaspolis-Megale (Preferrably in Memphis) (cost= 1,218)
Lysimachos commisions the construction of a Pentekoneroi fleet wherever it is convenient to do so. (cost= 2,500)
Lysimachos Ptolemaios keeps his Alexandria-Salamis trade route contract in effect.
OOC: In case anybody is wondering, I'm planning on having my guy make naval reforms, which involves having a permanent contingent of marines (peltastai or Kretan Archers) aboard all military ships, and a fleet consisting of specified modular units that we can deploy either the ships, or the marines to coastal provinces, when needed. He wants to make an example by forming a private force first to show its potential usefulness.
I would like to sign the trade route from Salamis to Antiocheia (385 mnai per ship per turn).
I'm signing the trade route between Antiocheia and Salamis.
https://img33.imageshack.us/img33/94...tspring265.jpg
Recruited Pentekonteroi in Alexandreia and Peltastai in Memphis for Paul D.
https://img696.imageshack.us/img696/...rreport265.jpg
The Celtic Viking and Folgore's income was cut in half due to pirates.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios hires 1 more unit of Peltastai at Alexandria or Memphis to form the marines for his personal navy.
https://img691.imageshack.us/img691/...tautumn265.jpg
Recruited a unit of Peltastai for Paul D in Alexandreia.
https://img194.imageshack.us/img194/...twinter265.jpg
Extra (127) charges for repairing the Trieries has been applied.
I'm signing the trade route between Salamis and Antiocheia. (:tongue2: to you, Folgore!)
(Ah you scoundrel, I was on vacation! :p )
I'll take Antiocheia to Salamis then this year.
EDIT: I would also like to retrain my Ioudaioi Taxeis in Hierosolyma and recruit another unit of Ioudaioi Taxeis, also in Hierosolyma.
Lysimachos Ptolemaios keeps his trade contract of Salamis-Alexandria open.
That seems to me to be the best time to strike. ~;)Quote:

Recruited a unit of Trispithamoi Katapeltai for The Celtic Viking in Antiocheia, and also used his money to build a type 3 goverment in Ammonion.
What happened to my trade route? Suddenly it's 1400 mnai less.
Can I switch to Salamis-Side or do I have to wait until the end of the year?
I don't know what happened either; I was just as surprised as you and had to double check it just to make sure I hadn't made a mistake. At least you still didn't go minus.
In any case, no, you don't have to wait and you can change trade routes at any time. You will still have to sign it again as soon as the next year begins though.
Yeah, I figured maybe it was rebels again, because they caused my trade to go down when I was in Ioudaia, but your route (my previous route ( )), which is the reverse of my current route, is unaffected.
Anyway, if I can switch then it's no big deal. I'd like to sign the Salamis-Side route then.
https://img834.imageshack.us/img834/...nreport264.jpg
Recruited a unit of Mistophoroi Toxotai Kretikoi for The Celtic Viking, merged them with his old ones and then disbanded the rest.
Disbanded Visorslash's supervisors and removed his estate. There is now an open spot for an estate in Alexandreia for anyone interested.
I would like to purchase the estate in Alexandreia please.
https://img52.imageshack.us/img52/27...twinter264.jpg
Tore down johnhughthom's estate outside of Memphis and built a new one for him outside Alexandreia.
Got loot from 289 Seleucid soldiers from the Battle of Assyrie.
Treasurer Report, Spring 263 BCE
https://img810.imageshack.us/img810/...tspring263.jpg
The Celtic Viking signed the Salamis-Antiocheia route.
Folgore and Paul D didn't sign any route, so they got no income this turn...
... except for the money that Folgore made from the battle.
Actually, you got loot from 301 Seleucid soldiers. The rules just says that it's the number of enemies is what counts, not how many of them that you killed.
Edit: you know what? I'm going to do it again, and "steal" your trade route. I'm switching to the Salamis-Side trade route. My greed was just too strong for me to resist it. ~;p
Haha! I somehow managed to report the 151 mnai I got for the battle, but forgot the 5800 mnai trade route...
I'd like the Salamis-Antiocheia route then please.
I think we can call strategos roma inactive as well for now.
Roger. I will probably take the save and do my stuff in a couple of hours, so Paul D still has some time to sign a route.
I defeated 299 Seleucid soldiers at the The Battle of Syria.
https://img830.imageshack.us/img830/...tsummer263.jpg
Folgore's made 150 mnai from The Battle of Syria.
Strategos roma's account was frozen.
(OOC: Foiled by my own greed! I don't know how - I'm sure I double checked - but Folgore made more money from the trade than I did. Serves me right I guess. :shame:)
Haha! Karma works. :2thumbsup:
When do you calculate the income though, after ending the turn? I'm sure Salamis-Side was making more when I had the save.
No, I do it after I've made all construction and recruitment, usually just before I do my own moves. Is that really affecting sea trade as well? :/
Ah, I just loaded yesterday's save and looks like I was wrong. My route was indeed more.
It should be less than yours this season though. :P
Treasurer Report, Autumn 263 BCE
https://img641.imageshack.us/img641/...tautumn263.jpg
Disbanded Paul D's Peltastai in Diospolis-Megale.
I defeated an army of 594 Seleucid soldiers in the 2nd Battle of Syria.
Treasurer Report, Winter 263 BCE
https://img231.imageshack.us/img231/...rreport263.jpg
Folgore earned 297 mnai from his battle.
I would like to re-sign the Salamis-Antiocheia route, before I forget it again.
I have defeated 264 Seleucid soldiers in the Battle of Palmyra and earned 1057 from selling 1433 Palmyrians into slavery.
I need walls around Palmyra as soon as possible. If the Chancellor does not see fit to spend the empire's money on this, I will pay for them myself.
Actually, you only earned 717 mnai from selling the slaves, as your personal income for that is number of slaves sold/2. I'm going to let you pay for the walls yourself, because since RC 3.1 failed, I have no choice but to recruit units until both Royal Armies are made up of 20 units each. Since it's your fault it failed, you've only yourself to blame. :p
Anyway, I'm signing the Salamis-Side trade route again.
