vote: Lazy McCrow, because I haven't seen much of you this game, and because I'll leave that crazy mangled mess of logic above to other people.
For obvious reasons, you must be lynched.
Vote: SalmonSoil
Here I am! For obvious reasons vote: zaccino trying to fool us by adding milk to yourself hmm? sprinkling yourself with chocolate powder to evade detection eh? You are obviously the purest of us and will therefore end the drout with your deliciously sweet thirst-quenching abilities.
So, I'm a normal villager/innocent whatever we are since I didn't get a PM, but it looks like I'm getting lynched because Chaotix is an idiot and the games on these forums are always about hammering the nail that sticks out. It's past midnight my time and I can't stay up. And since noone ever posts anything worthwhile and no ones PMed me to join a block I assume I'm dead. But, I can pass the buck by tying the vote I suppose.
Unvote; Vote:SalmonSoil
Honestly I don't see the obvious reasons, but I will say for my fellow villagers watch out for BSmith, Jarema and edse. BSmith helped lynch Atheotes and then started trying to lynch others who voted to lynch Atheotes. I find it suspicious. Second edse for reasons I initially voted for him. Third Jarema because I wasn't defending myself earlier only noting that Chaotix is an idiot, which I've known for ages.
Peace.
I was the first to vote yesterday, let alone the first to vote for Atheotes. I don’t think you can look much further than that. And it is not like I was going to unvote him when I was tied for the lead.
As for why I am voting for Yaropolk today: When he voted it was a three way tie between myself, Atheotes and Ishmael. He voted at the end of the day when there was not much time to react, and tipped the scales to get Atheotes lynched. The timing of the vote and the fact that he could have been saving Ishmael is enough to at least warrant a closer look at him.
Not nearly enough participation. Round is extended 12 hours. Everyone please vote, or I'm going to go into angry irrational host mode.
Vote: edse
In that entire ridiculous sequence in the start of the round, edse's was perfectly-placed in that he continued to draw it out after the joke was passed before the general consensus became that people went overboard with it. Make sense to you? Good, now explain it to me. My vote stands nonetheless.
My vote was not a joke vote although I believe the ones following were. If you as mafia see a wagon on an already lynched player, wouldn't you want to become the "third on the bandwagon" so that you can say "Hey, I'm third on the wagon" as a joke and get a more townie look?
I've voted for dead people in the past by mistake, so I can understand Visorslash's lazy vote. However you jumped in right behind him and voted for dead Atheotes as well. To me that screams - I don't care who I lynch as long as I can get a bandwagon rolling.
Holy crap how did I get so many votes. What did I do? Lewwyn's vote I understand, Zaccinos I don't. Maybe he misinterpreted my joke as being serious? I was implying Daveshack must be lynched for trying to keep us off the booze. Clearly a joke. Visorslash and Yaropolk don't seem to have any reason. Maybe they just threw the dice.
Unvote; Vote Lewwyn
Sorry man, just trying to tie the vote.
Thanks for this. Noone has been posting anything of any real value.
Totally agree. Edse has the most suspicious action of the ay in my eyes. If I didn't have to vote for Salmon to save myself I'd vote for edse. If anyone else would like to help by voting for edse I would switch off Salmon.
Understood. For me you are an unknown entity. I'm not sure if you're innocent or scum. I don't know that you are suspicious or not, but you had the most votes besides me. Again I think edse is the most suspicious at the moment and would be willing to switch off you if enough people voted for him/stopped voting for me.

Vote: Daveshack
unvote - vote: Seon
That's exactly why I voted him, to get a bandwagon rolling and see what the next one would do. Visorslash made a joke vote, I did a joke vote and Montmorency made a joke vote to be the third on the wagon.
The ones trying to do something are always the ones who stick out. They are the ones most likely to be town however since the mafia avoid pointing fingers.

High Priest Tlacalael initiated the examination once more under the watchful gaze of the Emperor. The Emperor's gaze soon turned to the group as a whole, as a few of the gathered suggested that there was no possibly way the previous choice could be wrong. The idea seemed to not amuse him. Without so much as a word, his stern look cowed the few protesters into submission. The examination became more focused than previously, leading to, at least, a couple leading candidates. It was close, but when the scout returned to inform us the sun was setting, the choice was SalmonSoil. He calmly requested a second tally to ensure we were not mistaken. Tlacalael looked questioningly at the Emperor, who nodded. The second check resulted in the same result. Shaking slightly, SalmonSoil approached the center altar. The Emperor and Tlacalael welcomed him with open arms. SalmonSoil was muttering to himself at a frantic pace, visibly panicked. Still, possibly out of duty, he laid himself on the altar. The High Priest raised the sacred knife high. SalmonSoil screamed as the knife plunged into his chest. In spite of the thrashing, Tlacalael expertly removed the heart in a timely manner, raising it before us.
"My friends, today we have once more offered the gods a gift of blood and purity. May they accept it as a sign of our greatest devotion, and give us their blessings in return. May our flesh and blood offer them sustenance." With his simple offer complete, Tlacalael rested the heart back on the altar. "It is time for us to rest and regain our composure. Pray tonight that our sacrifice was proper. Sleep well."

Landlubber is mafia? Wow. Tha's gotta suck.
I'm pretty sure half the players could be implicated, by that criterion.
Possibly, but in my mind, all the others are somewhat active. Landlubber recently has gone AWOL, as we saw in Yakuza.
Mkay, night's ended, writeup in progress.
Yaropolk was awaiting the sun with anticipation. He sat on the mat in his quarter, tapping a finger against the wall to a rhythm of his own creation. The room was lit only by a single brazier in the corner, which creating a shadow across much of it. The gentle rhythm of his tapping was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. Yaropolk halted for a moment to make sure he was hearing properly. Sure enough, the faint steps in the stone hallway halted directly outside the frame to his room. The curtain was pushed aside by a man with a jaguar skin draped across his shoulders. Each hand gripped an obsidian club. Eyes flared with rage at seeing Yaropolk.
“He has decreed! Die heathen!” The intruder leaped forth with almost unnatural grace, clubs raised to smite his foe. Yaropolk, to his credit, looked merely annoyed. The twin clubs smashed down on his skull at the same time, twisting it to the side with a sickening crack. Yaropolk slumped down. The attacker grinned at its victory. Then, beyond all reason, Yaropolk sighed. His neck twisted and creaked back into its natural shape. He looked at the attacker with pure annoyance. With a crack, Yaropolk disappeared, replaced by a hunched, skull-faced figure.
“How irritating. Oh well… I will see you later, fool.” With another crack, the figure vanished before the intruder’s eyes.
For Seon, the night was young. He was helping himself to a small stash he’d discovered hidden in his quarters. The previous occupant had apparently been forced out before being able to collect the spirits. Not a tragedy, as far as Seon was concerned. Unfortunately, in his inebriated state, as he sang to himself, he did not hear the footsteps outside the curtain. When a short, stout figure pushed it aside to find him, he was altogether too jolly to notice his guest’s spear. He offered the clay goblet to the intruder, who simply shook his head austerely. With a single, quick thrust, the intruder impaled Seon straight through his chest. He withdrew it just as fast. He shook his head one last time as Seon gurgled out his last moments. The intruder wiped the blood dripping from his weapon on the curtain as he left his quarry to die.
A tall, lean figure pushed aside a brightly decorated curtain. He wore nothing fancy, just tan tunic with an undecorated leather cloak. A javelin hung down from his right hand as he looked down at his snoozing target. Csargo, unlike so many others, was actually taking advantage of the downtime. A small grin appeared on the visitor’s face. He hefted the javelin up, and rammed it straight into the middle of Csargo’s exposed back. Csargo jerked up and spun around. He narrowed his gaze at the intruder, then rolled his eyes. He reached behind himself, and yanked out the javelin. “Figures,” he muttered to himself. “I suppose luck was not on my side this time. I’ll show them, though.” He looked down at the javelin. “You’ll need more than this if you’re going to win, boy.” With a flash, Csargo transformed into a great feathered serpent, jaws clenched around the weapon. With seemingly no effort, it splintered the weapon and vanished.
When I arrived the next morning, there was a great stirring amongst those gathered. I approached High Priest Tlacalael. "High Priest.... it seems that everyone is more anxious than previously. Has something happpened?" He turned to me with a stern gaze.
"It seems that someone or someones has decided that we are in error. Two people went missing last night, and Seon was discovered butchered in his quarters. We must continue with our efforts, however. Our sacrifices thus far must not be in vain. Our course is clear; we must still find the purest sacrifice. When the gods at last accept our sacrifice and give us rain, this small, side problem shall solve itself. Now, are you ready to keep today's record?"
Day 3 has begun! You have 36 hours.

Lynched:
Atheotes (D1)
SalmonSoil (D2)
Attacked:
Seon (N2)
Yaropolk (N2)
Csargo (N2)
So there's a twist to it; Pizza anticipated this.
interesting.
it seems almost as if we had lost one town power role, and that SK (or someone similar) was killed.
Vote: Edse
Vote: Montmorency
Vote: edse
Wait, so what's behind these votes?
My vote is based on how I felt yesterday, and I haven't seen anything to push me in any other direction at present. Edse is still tops on my suspicion list. I have a couple other people I'm waiting to see how they vote. But... we really need more people to chime in. This game has been a wasteland of talk and today has been even worse. It does not bode well.
I interpret the writeup as:
SK tried to kill Yaropolk. Don't know what the manner of Yaropolk's survival means.
Mafia killed Seon, and tried to kill Csargo. Again, don't know how Csargo survived or what that means.
The writeup implies both Yaropolk and Csargo "knew" they would survive, unless that's just flavor.
But they're not on the "Living" list.
:inquisitive:
So the "survival" is just flavor, and they're really gone? Love the ambiguity.
If they're gone, we have a big zero. My suspect was going to be Yaropolk, though the evidence was merely having voted for both lynches.
Vote: Jarema
Placeholder vote. Won't have enough time to needle people this phase.
Reads to me like Yaropolk may have been a mafia killed by an SK. Not much in the thread to indicate who may look more innocent/guilty if that were the case. I've had a big problem with GeneralHankerchief's super-townie posts, but I don't know his playing style and that may just mean he IS a super townie. But anyway, the exchange with Atheotes after the first day indicates a high degree of confidence that he will get to the endgame. Nothing else tingling my spideys right now so vote: GeneralHankerchief
Let me synposize the dilemma: our stated objectivecoming into this was to lynch the "purest" individual and please the gods.
On N1 there were no kills.
On N2, there were 3 kills, and 2 of them were written in a very unusual manner.
In each of these kills, the killer was written in a way that almost makes it seem like the same guy did the killing.
Despite the sudden onset of kills, our stated objective has not changed.
...
Have we learned nothing from Pizza's game? Things are not as they appear.
A note: in the previous large game (Buffy 2) there was a mafioso who could kill 3 players a night. Just saying.
I actually agree with Lazy here - GH is seeming a bit too friendly and helpful a townie, more so than in the (admittedly few) other games I've played with him. I'm not sold on edse, who I think was just making a regular groundless day 1 lynch, and so for want of anyone better:
vote: General Hankerchief
What I'm trying to get across: Who are we lynching, and for what?
I get the feeling we're all just here to die.
It's a trap! We're all to be sacrificed!
Hmm, you have a point Montmorency - we're trying to lynch the person with the 'pure soul,' but I have no idea how the mafia/serial killer fits into that. It could conceivably be that the pure person is a one-man mafia team, with multiple kills and whatnot, but it seems a bit unbalanced if the town can win with a single lucky lynch.
Some of Khaan's games only featured 2 mafia in a game of thirty. There even was one where they had to lynch each other and recruit a new scum-buddy who didn't really count and the main mafia could still be lynched and lose. I wouldn't rule out the "one man mafia team" theory but it is a bit of a stretch. Need more people to start posting votes here.
Vote:Csargo
I see that you are voting for one of the "missing".
I mentioned earlier that he and Yaro do not show up on the "Living" list.
Consider that Seon was quite clearly killed, yet his status does not seem to differ from theirs.
I have however been pondering the question of this twist and your post made me think: what if they really aren't dead? The emperor or whatever labeled them "missing" in the writeup, so maybe they could reappear later?

This is indeed a disturbing universe.

Yaropolk?
Khan, can you at least clarify the voting privileges Yaropolk and Csargo have ATM?
My thoughts:
Either both Yaro and Csargo have both died, and are either characters who will come back later in the game, or are characters who can't actually die (the role itself if you know what I mean, they are out of the game but the 'role' isn't killed) Certainly the fact that Yaro is voting is interesting.
Monty is always talkative generally Chaotix. :stare:
Regardless, 3 kills a night is not so unusual. A special power that can kill certain things, etc activating, + plus mafia and sk or vig kill, or even any combination of those. There are probably other ways for them to die too.
A one man mafia team is a serial killer. If we need to find the pure sacrifice, then it is bound to be a serial killer, one of many maybe?
Either way, Vote: Chaotix seems find to me.
So, Csargo - are you dead or what?
Vote: Chaotix
Must vote for someone, and can't be sure I'll be online again during this phase.
Csargo, Yaropolk - maybe you can shed some light on your 'deaths'?
Maybe this is time for some roleclaiming (if it is not forbidden for you).
For now, vote: Chaotix. Voting for a player who tries to discuss things (Monty) is not good.
2 -GH (Lazy McCrow, Ishmael)
2 - Montmorency (edse, Chaotix)
2(3?) - Chaotix (Visorslash, DaveShack, Yarolpolk?)
1 - Jarema (GH)
1 - edse (Lewwyn)
1? - CSargo (WhiteEyes)
Not Voting: BSmith, Fluffy, Jarema, landlubber, Zack
And that's all we got. I believe that the tiebreaker goes lynch the first person that reached the votes at the tie. So GH is currently the lynch unless Yaro actually gets to vote, which judging by him not in the living list, I'd say not.
I'm not really impressed with the voting here. 5 not voting with 5 hours to go. Feels like a lot of people just hiding. :wall:
Unvote: Vote Jarema Jarema posted at the beginning of the day, but didn't vote and hasn't posted since. What are you hiding? You cast a throwaway bandwagon vote on my yesterday and have done nothing to indicate a position to this point. My vote on edse isn't gaining much traction, but at least edse has voted today.
Crosspost...
Jarema's vote puts Chaotix on top with 3.

Dude, I kind of don't feel like dying Day 2.
I made a lazy vote. Thanks for jumping me on it.
Unvote, Vote: GH
Not sure if that counts. If it does, nothing personal.
You see, this is the problem with mafia these days.
"Oh, look at GH, he's being a productive townie. I don't rtrust him. He ccould potentially be leading the town int o despair and doom and destrcution and devatsatation and death. We should probably just lynch hi m to be totally and absolutely safe."
See, here's the thing guys, when you automatically lynch the people that are actually accusing people and bringing evidence to light, just because they are doing so, the town suffers. Yeah, it does, shockingy. Paranoia rules the day. And the result is that all the lurkers stay alive becasue they didn't do anyting to arouse suspicion. And then in the endgame, the most inportant rounds of all, it's all lurkers left and there's absolutely nothing to deiffierentiate all the lurkers from each other and mafia, a agame of detective work, b ecome s instead a game of chance. Well, I don't want to play a game of chance. That's not mafia. If I wanted to I'd just go to the nearest casino and drop however much money on craps or roulette or blackjack or something similar and watch it evaporate in a matter of minutes. No, I want to play mafia. So how about we play some mafia, eh?
Unvote: Jarema
