Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
TBH, I thought your plan was to vote Sasaki just to make us (the Brits) squirm for as long as possible and then end up on my side at the endas we ganged up on El Diablo for the final lynch. However, I wasn't about to be beholden to you in that way and decided to risk being lynched by the town in an effort to make sure you lost. :laugh4:
-edit- I know firsthand from Spirit Mafia that while aligning yourself to the mafia will get you to the end, it won't get you across the final hurdle. Take note, solo players. You're best served going at it alone.

Awww, couldn't yall just get along and share? I thought I had done something all profound-like with the Golden Rule game...

Ya, I sorta figured you were going to kill me when you said you would probably kill El Diablo the following night when we were chatting on steam. You need to be a bit less obvious.
EDIT: And I still had a good chance of winning the solo. If the town had been more receptive to my pitch, and given the activity levels, if I'd succeeded in obtaining an early bandwagon on you, you could have revealed all you wanted and it wouldn't have done diddly to stop me.

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Oh, and a couple other points of curiosity, GH:
Surely you guys didn't buy that awful "reveal" I gave to you, right? EDIT: To clarify, the one I gave to GH, not the one I gave to the town.
Second, GH, how many times did I "gently suggest" you kill Pizza or Diana? :jester:

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
I knew something was up, especially when you took forever to send that role PM I asked you for. Can't remember if there was something up about the fake results you sent too. But look at it from our point of view: we had nothing else to go on. All we knew is that you knew I was the Godfather, which was the giant specter hanging over all of us. Had you found out Sasaki or Ituralde I would have probably cut them loose in order to get rid of you as a threat, but any retaliation on our part could have instantly ended the game.

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
excellent game :2thumbsup: the best part of this game and i liked the most, was the kinda "story within the story". what happened to the cat in the end? :laugh4:
and forgot to say, grats the El Diablo!

Hey, forever? I thought 2 minutes was an impressive clip considering I was making it up as I went. ~:handball:
But ya, I figured the "spectre" effect as you called it would ensure my safety regardless of how poor the PM was.
And the results thing was because I made up the results and the rounds I did them, and when you asked for a result, I accidentally put a different round for Shlin's result. :laugh4:

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Found it:
GeneralHankerchief: so why does it say "Inishmore Night Two" when you said you investigated shlin the first night?
seireikhaan: because I made that up, of course
:laugh4:

The only way for you to be on our side only and have the game be balanced was if seamus could only find the brit mafia. We figured it was more likely that you could find both godfathers and pick which one you sided with.
I wasn't planning on killing you...certainly wouldn't have if you voted el diablo from the start, and wouldn't have if you switched it with no fuss either. Ah well.

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
See, that's where I'm a bit colder than you, Sasaki. khaan was dead to me as soon as he failed to vote El Diablo right away.

Yay! Someone liked the story! :beam:
Wee Thomas, your little cat, got safely to davey, who was killed, and now lives with Lord Winter and El Diablo who feed him anything he wants.
I think I'll stick to mostly vanilla games from now on. My crazy games don't seem to be as much fun for people. Halls of the Dead would have been great though.
As for commentary, I'm really not a commenting person. There were some laughs early on when Sasaki, Andres, ATPG and Ituralde all fought with each other, and ATPG nearly getting himself lynched to be 'innocent'. His continued attitude that he was going to lose got a bit annoying. The kills were painful to read. :laugh4:
The only kill I wrote myself was GH's. You can tell, because the other ones were all better.
So the town of Inishmore lives on...

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Thanks for the game pever!
It was interesting to be a Mafioso after I hadn't played for such a long time. It was difficult because I was trying to play as town, but then I couldn't remember how it was like to play as town. I'm also bummed that I woke up that early on Wednesday although I went to sleep really late the night before, because suddenly ATPG suspected me because of it. Probably have to think more before I sign on to the .org. And if it hadn't been for RL keeping me offline during the most active periods of the game I could have done something more interesting than just skitter around in the beginning and then not show up until right before the lynch. :beam:

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
I must publicly apologize to pevergreen for not being able to participate in your game.
Being robbed of the ability to browse these forums during work hours (at least until July), greatly put a hamper on my participation in the great games of the gameroom.
After long work hours, I find myself a bit out of breath and being a family man, I have a small window to spend time here every day. Weekends are even worse.
Luckily I don't think this game suffered by my total inactivity as I was a non role townie.
Town won though... :2thumbsup:
Will there be a badge?

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Great game pever i really enjoyed it!
I didn't kick into action straight away partially because of my watcher role in reenks game, but then i died in reenks game and sasaki started accussing me and it all kicked off in this game for me!
Sasaki... so you did actually think i was mafia ? not just setting up an innocent for the lynch...?
Im just really glad you turned out to be mafia... would have felt quite stupid otherwise...
I was just a regular townie here but i feel i did my little bit to contribute towards the victory...
-
Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Oh, and sorry for using you as my favourite target, LittleGrizzly :shame:
I really thought you were just an innocent townie, but since you were so kind to answer to each accusation, you were a convenient target to create lots of distracting and annoying noise
-
Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Are you sure it wasn't the people of Cornwallis that won?
:rolleyes4:
Thanks for the great game.... and for... uh... smothering me with Beefy's bum after having me run around like a cowboy. I thought that was really funny.
:scorpio:

I convinced myself you were...it's the best way to go as mafia, otherwise you sound insincere. Then we moved to white_eyes as a suspect, and diana in the last round.

have a pokemon badge... :pokemon:
You're an artist, yoyoma; do you want to make a badge for the Inishmore winners? Make it something Irish-like.... perhaps a fightin' leprechaun?

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
I made one for El Diablo seeing as he won....as the scottish
It's horribly depressing, just an optional junk fixture for your sig :beam:

Lol, thats the most unsubtle hint I've ever heard, be done when I wake up later on (1:30 am at the moment)
Night! (don't let the bedbugs bite....)

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
I think Sasaki deserves a badge just for simply being the best gameroom player ever.

Sure!
If anyone (who's of age) comes to New Orleans, I'll buy them a pint of Guinness at Molly's. There's your badge, proper for the game.

Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
I am in disbelief on how right I was that Sasaki was a English grunt.....and on how GH was a Godfather....:furious3:
Did that make you guys think I was the detective or not???:sweatdrop:
-
Re: The fight for Inishmore (Concluded)
Except for GH and AVSM, I got a few roles nailed myself. :laugh4:
