I don't like this from Skooma. While I agree that what Yaropolk did may not be wise, I hardly see his actions as mafia. Let's check the facts:

- Yaropolk asked 3 members of the Voting Block to claim their roles.
- pevergreen claimed being a Hero.

What I am expecting from a mafia would be to act like he believed pevergreen, and plan to kill him soon.

What I am not expecting from a mafia is to yell in the game thread "I found a Hero, Pikachu should kill him!!!". If pever is killed and flips Hero, who's going to be blamed? It's just very bad for Yaropolk's image, I have serious doubts that a scum would do something like that when he could simply kill the Hero.

I'm sorry Yaropolk, but you didn't think this through. Either pever is telling the truth (and you should keep this a secret or a Hero will die soon) or he's lying (and he might be Pikachu, or a Phazon, but either way, the other mafia team has no reason to attack him, given things are going well for the Town).

So I don't see how it was a good idea to reveal pever, but I don't see how a mafiosi would make this move either. The whole thing has me believe that Yaropolk is Town.

It is much easier to make a ruling on an instance than a general rule for all.

iirc, in rubicon only the godfather-mafioso could recruit and it might have been limited shot. But I do believe it's in the game.

I meant trying to direct. For example, asking people to reveal things. I am not accusing you of being the driving force behind the town's efforts, but you seem to want us to place a lot of trust with you when we have nothing guaranteeing that you are town. Obviously my vote on you is not going to end up in you being lynched but I think its something to think about for now and act on later.

I'd just like to put in one more plug for a good hard look at Frozen. I don't have time to do it right now, and I think there's a real chance that I'll be subbed in sometime in the next few days, at which point won't feel comfortable arguing for his lynch, because I'll wonder if I'm doing it based on stuff I knew in my old role.
He seems to be skating by under the radar unscanned and unchallenged. With each day, I suspect more that he's team Samus. If he discloses the full summary of what info he claimed to me so that I can confirm it and others can discuss it, I'll back off. Until then, as long as I'm dead, I say Frozen in Ice is part of team Samus.

He was attacked by Samus and Pikachu on Night 3, so it's unlikely that he's a Bowser or a Phazon. If the point you are trying to make is that he is not necessarily Town-aligned, you're right. We don't know that for sure, but I think he's the closest we have to a confirmed Townie.

I think the title "hero" carried the additional meaning of "unrecruitable", as opposed to the "survivalists".

These posts are intersting considering my scan visor has Jarema marked as a part of the hero faction. Remember that the scan visor would only get the cover role of a mafia. Now, why would someone not understand their own faction and also at the same time imply they are a part of either the GF or IDFH (as Jarema did in the second post)? The only two explanations I can think of are that he is either a townie that didn't pay much attention to his role PM, or he is mafia that didn't pay much attention to his cover role. I find it more likely that someone would forget their cover role than their real role.

I personally think he's a...a.... I have no idea.

I don't get it. Jarema didn't lie about his true role and he killed only once in 4 nights (Link/IDFH on Night 3). With this knowledge only, I'd say he isn't much of a threat.

His objective is to survive. But that cover role business makes me feel as if he is a serial killer. Why the heck would he have a cover role if his objective was merely to survive? Besides, every faction so far had a pretty unique name. The pretty mundane name which was... The "neutral," suggested to me that he was lying.

In any case, even if I am wrong, he makes for a good lynch. It will confirm the existence of a whatever-th faction completely unknown to us yet.

Day 5

At the end of the day, there had been a clear decision on who was to be lynched as a suspect. Admiral Dane was called in as usual, and he officially tallied the votes- but everyone knew what the end result was to be already. He stepped up to the podium and spoke in a dry, unimpressed tone:

“Today, you have found guilty… the Waddle Dee. Out of all potential suspects dangerous to the crew of the GFS Olympus, you have chosen the Waddle Dee that carries packages for the IDFH troop. I must commend you all on your brilliance today. *Sigh*… please step up, Waddle Dee.”

But when the Waddle Dee stepped up, it was indeed clear that something was not quite right with him.

For one thing, he appeared to be far too large to be a Waddle Dee. There were also what looked like patches in his skin, almost as if it was a costume. The already suspicious crew members became even more suspicious now.

“That’s no Waddle Dee!”

“It’s just a costume!”

“I bet Samus is hiding inside that thing!”

“Tear it open! Rip it to shreds!”

Before the Admiral could stop them, several crew members ran up to the Waddle Dee and started tearing at the shoddy cloth material that his skin was apparently made out of. The Waddle Dee began screaming and making noises that were quite unbecoming of him, until finally the dust settled.

Standing in the center of the room was Santa Claus! No, wait. It was a fat penguin dressed in a red suit, with a hammer swung over his back. It was unmistakably King Dedede.

“Errr… Oh, dangit! You caught me! Ehehehe…”

This shocking revelation threw the crew into even more a blood frenzy.

“Isn’t that the penguin guy that doesn’t like Kirby?”

“YEAH! He’s a villain! We should kill him!”

“Maybe he’s been conspiring against us!”

“KILL THE VILLAIN!”

“LYNCH HIM!”

“KILL THE PENGUIN!”

“DIE, VILLAIN!”

“SILENCE.”

The voice of Admiral Dane was loud enough to momentarily halt the angry lynch mob that was forming.

“Villain or no, he is not attacking us right now, and he deserves to defend himself before we finalize our decision. King Dedede, just what ARE you doing here?”

Dedede tried his best to form some sort of accounting of his actions.

“Well, uh, you see, it all started back at mah castle in Dreamland. And Ah was thinkin’, it sure is dang boring without that there Kirbeh around no more.”

“HE WANTS TO KILL KIRBY! LYNCH HIM!”

“No, you got me all wrong! Ah realized Ah kinda sorta liked that there Kirbeh just a little bit. So I went on a journey to find me the lil’ puffball, and somehow I wound up stowed away on this here ship.”

“HE’S A STOWAWAY! KILL THE STOWAWAY!”

“But I didn’t do nothin’! Ah been just tryin’ ter survive this whole time. Ah figured Ah would stick with whoever was winning, but I reckon you guys here was givin’ those Hunters a whoopin’ so I didn’t really do nothing. And then that there Kirbeh popped out of that dragon’s belly, and I was mighty pleased ter see him a livin’.”

“BUT HE’S A VILLAIN! WE HAVE TO KILL THE VILLAINS!”

Dedede began to panic, as the mob was closing in on him.

“Now you listen here! What makes me a villain anyway? Ah was trying ter survive, that’s all. And you boys think yer all heroes, is that it? Y’all murder someone every day, but just because you took a vote on it, you think it’s justice? Is that it?”

The mob had become momentarily mesmerized by the great oration that the penguin made.

“Well Ah’ll tell you something! Back when we had that Council O’ Villains, we did the same darn thing! You think yer all the big damn heroes, but there ain’t but a few of you here that qualify! This here, this is just another Council O’ Villains, that’s what this is!”

The thunderous words struck home, and the mob was silent, unsure of what to do after such a grave accusation.

“Well? What do y’all say? What happens now?”

“KILL HIM! LYNCH THE VILLAIN!”

“YEAH, LET’S LYNCH HIM!”

The mob of crew members had made its decision, and Dedede’s fate was sealed. The King readied his hammer and made one last stand.

“Ah guess this is it fer me, then. Ah was glad Ah got ter see that there Kirbeh again, one last time. Now… I ain’t a goin’ down without a fight!”

King Dedede leveled his hammer and began spinning it slowly. He kept picking up speed quickly, however, and soon became a whirling, impenetrable fortress. All who tried to close in on him were swiftly and powerfully flung away by the hammer. This continued for what seemed like an eternity, with nobody able to harm the penguin king.

Finally, though, Dedede seemed to start slowing down. He had run out of energy, and was dazed from all the spinning. The mob saw their chance and closed in on him quickly, jumping on him and piling on top of him.

Admiral Dane stood in the back, shaking his head. When the business was done, he dismissed the crew and called in the maintenance droids to clean up.

Yeah right, I´m sure you would have, just like Chaotix. Beeing a SK seems to be en vouge nowadays. I liked the old times better when you knew that a lynched SK was a good thing. Let´s see how many more SK´s there are...

Jarema was telling the truth about being of the "Neutral" faction, so he was probably right about his goal not being anti-town. His honesty about being Kind Dedede also points that way.

ATPG was a Space Pirate. With this new info, I'm thinking that he was definitely anti-town, and I'm now wondering if he was alone. Space Pirate could be a 3rd enemy faction.
