I do agree that the golden rule seems somewhat significant. However, I do not believe ATPG would pull such a joke, but then who knows....

I really believe this is the only way.
I am still not convinced, but like GH, I will think about it later and may change my vote.
@ATPG
I would appreciate it if you didn't end the day after GH votes tomorow until I get on and finalize my decision, which should be around 15:00 Eastern Time for me.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Why do I think you're the mafia, and not General Handkerchief?
1) The way you're playing.
2) You were never attacked.
3) You're the only person specifically named in a night writeup who wasn't the attacked or attacker.
(And in a writeup involving an attack on someone who was later shown to be a psychopath.)
4) Pizza likes to make boss men mafia members for some reason.

Seireikhaan began firing his weapon, and the startled Beefy dropped his weapon.
The noise woke all the other members of the crew. Everyone rushed to Seireikhaan's cabin, and he moved to unlock the door.
"Now, mister 'communications expert', let's see if you can communicate to the crew exactly what the hell you were doing in my room trying to kill me?"
"What happened?" Asked TevashSzat.
"This wretched little rat snuck into my room through the open porthole, and did not see in the darkness that I was still awake. A sword is no match for a gun, my silent little assassin." said Seireikhaan.
Beefy just hung his head in defeat. "I can explain, if you just give me the chance"
"Sure, explain away. Seems we're taking another trip outside into the fresh air today..."

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
I can assure you, yoyoma that I am indeed not mafia.
Personally, I have no clue what ATPG mentioned me sometimes, but I suppose as the leader of our little gang, I would most likely have a greater presence in activities than other people.
Anyways, just to humor you, I have decided to Unvote, Vote: No Lynch just to see what would happen.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Perhaps we should all the declare a truce... or stalemate.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
All right, I've made my decision.
Right up until now it's been my head vs. my gut. My gut has been saying to vote for no lynch and see what happens. My head has been telling me that this is folly and that there will continue to be night killings.
If we vote no lynch and there is a night killing, that's game over. Because it will be 1-1, thus automatically favoring the mafia. On the other hand, Yoyoma could be right, but the more I think of ATPG's clue, I doubt it. Instead, I believe it's something more along the lines of "going full circle", considering the very same statement was said at the end of his initial story.
I believe that if we vote no lynch, we are walking into a trap. My head has won out over my gut.
Vote: Yoyoma

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Not a fan of the truce or stalemate options, Hmm, General?
If you lynch me, it will already be 1 vs. 1. So what's the difference?
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
The difference is that you might be mafia. It could be 1-1, but it could also be 2-0. We don't get this chance (IMHO) with no lynch.
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Or we could all declare the game stalemate.
The main goal of all parties, I assume is to have the gold. All the mafia would have to do is be willing to accept his fair share.
If you're going to be selfish about it, you wouldn't have anything.
We've defeated the FBI. How is one, maybe two people, going to actually be able to do anything with that much gold? And on a ship they wouldn't know how to pilot?
If you recall, we've already heard in a write up they might be sending the navy after us.
I just don't see how this is going to be winnable if we all kill each other at this point.
But good luck to you if feel otherwise.
All Louis 7 Fingers ever wanted out of this was three gold fingers.
...
I do have one question for you though, General Handkerchief, it has to do with something you mentioned earlier, brought up by Shlin, that was then kind of brushed over:
How'd you come to this idea?
Quote:
- Judging by the failure of three separate kill attempts, there are probably too many people still to kill successfully. The baddies are lucky that none of them got caught.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Answered that already, let me see if I can find it.
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
You said you inferred it, I believe.

Yeah, here we go:

Pretty :daisy: good inference there, General.
You should take that to the tracks, and play the ponies.

Vote: Yoyoma
I've been pondering the same thing, but since you've made the vote, I guess I'll change my vote too and just see what happens
Unvote, Vote: Yoyoma

Sorry, that move was just a little predictable there, Tevash.

*Pops a Champagne bottle, looks at the living players* Oh no, this isn't for you, you don't get any. Cheers for the grateful and ever joyful dead!

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Good luck gentlemen.
Peace out.
At least my grave shall be the sea instead of this giant steel coffin.
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
To make it absolute:
unvote:no lynch
Vote :Yoyoma
I only play these games to play them. What you consider victory really means little to me. I like to try to game systems, and figure out the sides of the box.
If I cannot see if my theory is correct, then I care little to continue playing.
You two are likely playing to "win," so I suppose one of you deserves to do so.
Again, good luck. Congratulations, whichever side gets it.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Looks like Yoyoma is lynched. Tevash wanted to talk to me about something, but unless it's something rather significant, the vote stands.
Time is up.
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Well, here we go... :anxious:
-
Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Well, I gave Tevash a pm and nudged him in a different game. I'm going ahead with the writeups.

Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)
Final Day
Yoyoma sat as the sun came up, eyeing the other two surviving crewmen. The suspense was killing him. Finally he spoke:
"This is pointless. Don't you see this is getting us nowhere? We are all rich beyond our wildest dreams. Can't we just split the pot and go our separate ways?""
GeneralHankerchief looked up. "If there weren't murders every night, I might see the point. But as it is, I can't fall asleep knowing the murderer or murderers are still on board."
TevashSzat concurred. "I think it's you, Yoyoma. This high-minded nobleness doesn't sit well with me. You're supposed to be a hardened criminal. Acting all noble doesn't fit with your personality. You're covering something up. My vote is on you."
GH agreed. "Mine too."
Yoyoma: "Well that's just peachy. I'll vote for myself too, just for the heck of it."
The other two stared in disbelief as Yoyoma stood up and pointed the gun at his head, and fired.
Final Night
GeneralHankerchief and TevashSzat looked at the fallen Yoyoma, and they each dropped their guns to prove they were innocent all along (relatively speaking, of course).
They both laughed in relief when they saw the other had dropped their weapon. They gave each other a big hug and celebrated their victory.
continued in a moment...
