there's still plenty of voting time left. Your "trap" is so ham-handed that I just had to poke it with a stick/vote.

Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, put this round out of its misery.

Whoops, meant to put that in the other thread.

And shilin28, your reason against me is not much better either. You claim I have popped out after "low activity" which is just not true, because I have participated in every round.
Of course, I have participated in every round too, but my rather conspicuous absence for 2 days 2 days ago were rather noticable, was it not? Yet I can still make a post in one day phase despite my 2 day absence... So anyone can lurk and post once every round, but still counts as lurking, as the rounds in this game were especially long. My vote stays

    You see...

Setting up our transactions wasn't the only thing I've been up to. Dmitry Medvedev offered me a substantial reward to kill the yankee pig-spy myself. So I bided my time, analyzing each and everyone of you until I found someone whose guilt I was convinced so thoroughly of that I decided to make my move. Yes! It was I who attempted to poison YLC with plutonium! Unfortunately, not only did I fail but it appears I was only half right. He was not the yankee pig-spy. Merely a common traitor. But now, with the apparent death of the FBI agent, I find it fruitful to reveal my ulterior motives.

    ahem...

In short. I am a vigilante. I get a minor victory with a town win and a major victory if the town wins and I kill the FBI agent myself. YLC and Ares both seemed so scummy to me that I decided to kill whichever one was not lynched(I told ATPG this in the day phase). Unfortunately that 50% chance of failure decided to rear it's ugly head. I was the first attempt on YLC. The one with the syringe(which would have been filled with plutonium). I was the person who suggested a murder method to ATPG that night. With 2 kills beside my own occuring that night I decided to hold off on the kills until I was really sure I knew who the FBI agent was.

Anyways, he's dead now so I hope this info helps.
So, you thought YLC was the FBI agent earlier right? Only after Chaotix died did you realize that he is indeed the FBI agent? Now, if I read the night writeup correctly, it seemed like neither the killer nor Chaotix were FBI agents.

Furthermore, if you really thought YLC was the FBI agent or scummy at least, lets look at last day's votes:

You were the fifth in the vote, only bandwagoning at the last moment. True you FOSed YLC earlier, but it was only because he was out of bed, and you FOSed khaan too. In fact, you made no attempt to get YLC lynched other than that short post where you FOSed him.

I smell something fishy, which is why I will Vote:woad&fangs

    Updated Tally:

    woad- 3 (khaan, Reenk, Tevash)

    Reenk- 2 (Beefy, woad)

    khaan- 1 (Yoyoma)
    Tevash- 1 (GH)

Edit: It seems everyone has voted except for shlin

With actual information to work off of I wanted to analyze that before I started making descisions about who to vote for. Also, shouldn't me and Reenk be tied? I thought that we were tied at 2 votes each and then I voted for him so your vote would restore the tie...

Since the dead are not supposed to be speaking, I'm going to say this now- in the event that Woad survives this round, I will most certainly be killed. Not by Woad, but by a separate, yet equally dangerous assassin, looking to create massive WIFOM, despite the fact that Woad's lynching will(should?) happen regardless because neutral roles are always bad for the town and they would hopefully realize this by the next round. Either way, lynch Woad next round and don't let WIFOM get drift you off target.

And don't give me any of this nonsense about Woad being a vigelante- that role description screams "NEUTRAL SK ROLE" all the way. I sincerely doubt that Russia would just let a literal boatload of gold get away and just be happy about stopping the Americans when that much hard cash is right within their grasp.

    Day Eight-

Reenk Roink looked at the tally and realized he was done for. Reenk dropped his weapon too, remembering what had happened to those who had tried to shoot their way out.

"I surrender" he said. "I just want to have one last look at the beautiful sky before I die. And I also have things I must confess." The rest of the group led him out to the deck, where the sun was setting. "Anyone have some of that celebratory wine from when we managed to escape with the gold?" Someone left the group and Reenk continued to talk.

"I have to tell you, fellows, that I had designs on the gold myself. But I resisted the temptation. I was not responsible for any of the deaths aboard this ship, and never once did I try to kill any of you." The man returned with the chilled wine. Reenk began to drink as he stood and watched the sun set in the west. "I also have no idea if the FBI is aboard this ship. It seems to me, we would have noticed if there were such an infiltrator. But I had my suspicions, as the rest of you did."

Reenk took another sip. "One thing I do know... is that someone is playing you like a fiddle. I don't know who, or how... but I've seen the way you guys have been behaving of late and it's clear you're starting to panic. Just relax and it will come." Reenk took one final look at the sunset.

"You guys need to figure out who tried to kill YLC. I'm sure they have some explaining to do as well. I guess I am ready. One last thing... I'm not really a security guard. But I had my reasons for wanting to keep my identity a secret." Reenk downed the last of the wine, and smashed the glass against the deck. "All right you coward!!! Why don't you have some cajones and shoot me first???"

The entire group hesitated.... waiting to see who would shoot first.

"Ha! I guess he doesn't have the grapes to come forward."

One of them stepped forward. "Enough of this... the vote is finished. We kill Reenk, as we agreed. On the count of three... one... two..."

Several people fired, but some did not. It all happened so fast. Reenk fell to the ground and bled slowly to death, laughing at the sick irony of it all.

    Night Eight

Beefy left his cabin that night with murderous intent. He headed for the surgeon's room, with the idea of slicing the man to pieces with his long, sharp sword. He deftly slipped in through the narrow port hole, and listened to his victim sleep. He silently moved across the room.

Seireikhaan began firing his weapon, and the startled Beefy dropped his weapon.

The noise woke all the other members of the crew. Everyone rushed to Seireikhaan's cabin, and he moved to unlock the door.

"Now, mister 'communications expert', let's see if you can communicate to the crew exactly what the hell you were doing in my room trying to kill me?"

    "What happened?" Asked TevashSzat.

"This wretched little rat snuck into my room through the open porthole, and did not see in the darkness that I was still awake. A sword is no match for a gun, my silent little assassin." said Seireikhaan.

Beefy just hung his head in defeat. "I can explain, if you just give me the chance"

"Sure, explain away. Seems we're taking another trip outside into the fresh air today..."

    _

They led Beefy to the top deck.

"Might I have one final request?"

    The crew nodded.

"I would like to have one last tasty juicy beefsteak. Nothing would please me more than to taste it's tender meat one last time."

So they cooked up a steak in the kitchen for mister Beefy, who remained mostly silent, and under heavy guard.

Beefy ate the tasty meat and savored it's rich flavor. "Oh, this is so good... much better than chicken, or lamb. In fact, I heard once that chicken can kill you..."

Askthepizzaguy was sitting at home in Florida laughing.

"Now that I'm finished, I would like to say this:"

Beefy took the steak knife and flung it with great skill and ability towards the one known as Seireikhaan, and with pure reflexes, Seireikhaan ducked out of the way. The rest of the crew was stunned for a moment at the sheer bravery of the act, but quickly turned their weapons on Beefy and fired.

Beefy was very agile, and made several backflips and did one final leap off of the tanker into the waters of the Atlantic. The crew watched helplessly as he dove into the water. But Seireikhaan would not let his attacker get away that easily. He fired blindly into the dark shimmering waters, and listened carefully.

There were moans of pain... and even in the moonlight, the waters turned bloody red. The sharks had been following the tanker for some time now, since they had been feasting on the bodies that had been dumped overboard. Beefy had nearly escaped into the water, but without a life preserver, he had no real chance of survival... and then the bullet wounds finished him off.

There would be no more Beef served aboard the tanker.

Whooo boy... now that's some good mistake makin.

We should keep a running tally for this very reason. But I can't really blame anyone but myself.

I think I may have promised a random lynching; so let's recheck with random.org

    What we know:

Reenk is not a security guard, and seems like to be some sort of a neutral character... a traitor but with no ability to kill?

Beefy - A killer obviously, but whether he is a traitor/FBI/vig is unknown. Judging by the fact that he used a sword, I would doubt that he was an FBI agent. Also, it did not mention anything about him wanting any gold like the stuff from write-ups about YLC. So in my opinion he is a vigilante kind of character.

SK- a surgeon responding with a gun? seriously? and all that awsome reflex? Methinks the surgeon got something to hide

How many times must I repeat myself? He's an ADMITTED KILLER and he's got a neutral role to boot. This guy is BAD for the town. I can't believe the town actually left the last lynch up to a coin flip(riiiiight, pizzaman ) between Reenk and neutral killing role.

Mafia as a game has several tendencies. One of which is that it is always considered an attractive option to frame other people. Also, I must extend congratulations of a degree to Beefy- I hadn't an inkling of suspicion towards you, you were doing an excellent job of avoiding suspicion.

He says he has a minor/major victory condition, yet I have none in my PM..?

Default Re: The Golden Rule (IN PLAY)

Ugh, this is the last time I try to do this after seeing a "Bond" (quotated because Daniel Craig is not and will never be James Bond) film. Got me even more paranoid than usual.

    What we know:

According to ATPG's writeups, at least two bad guys are down: YLC and Beefy. Out of these two Beefy is more definite because he was actually caught in the act.

There was no FBI report in the latest writeup. This comes right after one in which the FBI were experiencing difficulties.

The number of kills/attempts per round has dwindled by one each round since there was the three separate attempts a round ago.

woad has claimed vigilante and responsibility for the first attempt on YLC. He says his primary target is/was the MIA FBI agent. He is currently facing a bandwagon of epic proportions, largely of khaan's making.

    What we think:

woad's story is getting battered. His claim of working for the Russians but only wanting the FBI agent dead doesn't make much sense considering they are the Russians and all. In addition, he revealed rather hastily, after my vote of him saying he was playing a bit cautiously.

He believes the FBI agent dead, and probably still thinks so considering the lack of report today. Thus, according to him, he would have nobody else to vig-kill. After one round, this part of the reveal holds up as the only murder attempt was made by Beefy.

Our dearly departed Reenk is now 0-for-2 (well, possibly 0.5) on townie theories, calling YLC (probably guilty) a bad lynch and thinking Beefy (definitely guilty) more on the wrong track than anything else. Of course, he did call Beefy suspicious but never lodged a vote or made anything more than an offhand comment saying as much.

Tevash has done a nice job of calling woad out on his voting timing a while ago, to which woad responded to.

khaan once again looks good, taking the lead on the woad attack brigade, and correctly predicting his murder attempt. Of course, this could be a diabolical move on his part, sacrificing Beefy a la Prometheus in order to solidify his own position in the endgame, but I doubt it. Beefy wasn't on anybody's radar at all (including mine).

    What we're not sure of:

The FBI agent's powers, or status. Leaning towards "dead/MIA" but this is not certain.

The wherabouts of the previous night's killer, who made two separate attempts. This was possibly Beefy, who was interrupted during his first attempt.

This Reenk quote in the ATPG writeup sounds important:

"You guys need to figure out who tried to kill YLC. I'm sure they have some explaining to do as well. I guess I am ready. One last thing... I'm not really a security guard. But I had my reasons for wanting to keep my identity a secret."
Now, this would appear to point to Woadsy. But, at the time, we already know that woad tried to kill YLC. I'm thinking it's leaning more toward the second attempt, the one that caught YLC out of his room. This might have been Beefy, in which case we can breathe a big sigh of relief. If not... that's another mystery. Also, it calls into question Reenk's true role.

    Brief thoughts on everybody alive:

    - Yoyoma and shlin, both after facing some early pressure, are now kind of sliding by as the attention focuses on others. Out of the two of them, shlin is doing a little more.
    - I am trying to summarize everything and separate the fact from the speculation. This may also be me trying to sway discussion the way I want it to, however.
    - Out of all of us, khaan looks the best, having been framed once and him having caught Beefy the other time. However, I can hear the whispers starting that he's looking too good (might have engineered the Beefy capture, seems very capable for a plastic surgeon, etc). IMHO, not worth a lynch this round but definitely worth keeping an eye on.
    - woad is in deep trouble.
    - Tevash is slowly becoming more active.

    Vote: woad

I look at it logically. All evidence points to the FBI agent being either dead or incapacitated. If this is the truth, then your task is complete. At this point, the risk of you lying outweighs the reward of your continued usefulness.

Now, I could see khaan being our FBI agent and faking his apparent destruction in an attempt to make Woadsy look bad (especially if khaan can't kill at night). However, while plausible, this theory is far-fetched (I think) and thus Occam's Razor leads me to the woad vote. You better have a good defense, dude.

I don't even know where to start defending myself

Shlin- I only know what was in my PM. I can't speak for the rest of yours.

GH- I revealed because I glanced through the night writeup and thought the agent was dead, not because you voted for me. Besides, one vote is not enough to spook me into revealing my role(especially when I'm a ing vigilante.).

General defense stuff- dying reenk said we should find out who tried to kill YLC. Since I have already admitted to this I assume we are looking for the second attempt on him.

I'll edit this in a second when I read through the accusations...
Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
