Because of this, and my win conditions, my nearest allies were the incorruptible hero faction townies, and I unloaded all my information and notes to Captain Falcon before I went. I think that if he follows through and sticks to the plan, he will do nicely.
I knew you guys would have an itchy trigger finger when I was at work, so I told 4 people to tell you that I was at work and I knew you'd lynch me while I was away. Figures.
But anyway. Since I needed to get rid of Samus and Dark Samus, there was no real possibility of working with them, and that's why Dark Samus team backstabbed me immediately and why I couldn't trust Beskar when he wouldn't give up who Samus was. The only people I could have worked with were neutral or the corruptible townies. Well I suppose I could have worked with the mafia after I killed the Samuses, but why would they want to? I think that's what Beskar wanted to give me, but I find it less believable that there would have been follow-through.
I do not represent a faction, as far as I know. I would show up as different from "neutral" because I was a SK with an unusual vic, but I was not anti-town. I was anti-Samus, as you'll see after the game is done.
I think the fact that I directed Falcon to the defense of both Seon and God Emperor, and how quickly I gave up Beskar and how I pointed the finger at Renata based off of just an activity scan tells you what my intentions were. It doesn't really matter if you believe me here or not; I won't be contributing further as I know a bit too much.
I am currently rooting for Falcon and the town, as they are the only team so far that has impressed me. I am considerably less impressed by being lynched, that was a horrible decision. I could have withstood no less than 2 night attacks, sparing 2 additional townies at night, and I would have ramped up the pressure until they were forced to kill me, or I would have killed them. I also told Captain Falcon what ability I gained which would have guaranteed I destroyed them, but I can't say here.
You guys also could have stolen my abilities or copied them, that was silly that you didn't do that before I went. I even suggested it to Falcon and everyone I considered townie.
People whose opinions I ordinarily respect really bungled this game by advocating my lynch. :stare: Town was headed directly toward a win. Now Samus has breathing room, congrats on that.
However, I do want to give a shout-out to Pikachu, who is totally doomed. If town doesn't catch you, then you deserve the win. Underdog and all that. Besides, your team got shafted pretty hardcore by scans. It's only fitting.

Until my intervention, you were either working with the Bowser posse, or being played by them. After that, to accuse townies of bungling the game by lynching you is outrageous.

I protest the use of the term backstab. It is not possible to backstab someone that is actively trying to kill you; the proper term is acting in self-defense.

Your intervention? You hadn't put any pressure on Beskar whatsoever, while I had been saying the whole game that Beskar probably knew a Samus mafioso.
It was only until I pressured you that you put the question to Beskar why he had a killing power, and it wasn't until I pressured Beskar that anything happened with him.
You were sitting on information you were doing nothing with, likely waiting to be recruited.
I stand by my comments. It's only because you died before you got recruited that your actions could look positive; honestly it looked like you were wanting to go mafia.

True enough. That's why I bear no ill-will to you for doing what you felt was right.
Still, you only made me want to kill Dark Samus faster. And I did! :clown:

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
It's might be useful to have the recruit mechanic from rubicon as a reference*:
Quote:
(4) Adrogation (Recruit) - If there are no Caesarian Legates alive, you can anonymously recruit any living player who has elimination of the Optimates faction as an optional victory condition. If they accept, this will permanently change that player’s role into that of a Caesarian Legate. If they decline, this will permanently remove the option to eliminate the Optimates faction from that player’s victory conditions, thus forcing them to eliminate all Caesarians and Pompeians in order to win. This ability may not be used more than twice during the game, even if it is used by different Caesarian Dictators. If this ability is used on a player that does not have elimination of the Optimates faction as an optional victory condition, it will operate as a normal Veritas action, and will not count against the twice per game limit.
Quote:
Special Ability:
(1) Cursus Honorum (Promotion) – If at any point the Caesarian Dictator dies, your role will permanently change to that of Caesarian Dictator. If multiple Caesarian Legates are alive when this happens, the promotion will be determined randomly.
Pompei worked the same way. However, according to TinCow in this game anyone can be recruited and it happens against their will.
I hope though that there is no equivalent of the "cursus honorum" ability if that's the case, or that there is some other limitation on it. But it seems likely from a balance perspective that the pikachu team can no longer recruit. And that the samus team will not be able to recruit more than twice.
*Note, this isn't any kind of reply to...whatever it is that's going on in the thread now...

It was simple enough. You lied through your rear-end in an attempt to get me lynched and get Pizza to turn on me, by suggesting I was Samus. Unfortunately, if Pizza didn't believe your lie about the 'Plasma Cannon', I would still be alive.

Technically every vote that landed on me caused my lynch. No more one person than another. But yeah, mostly referring to peeps who were more concerned with bringing me down than Samus, even though that isn't their victory conditon.

Except it is a lie, as I didn't have that ability. Why would I even make up something like that, or even continue it, when it has no bearing on how the game plays out. So there is absolutely no advantage or disadvantage to admitting you came up with a lie in an attempt to take me down.
As for the Samus thing, only Samus or a Samus-like character would ever have an ability like that. We all know that I am not that.

If people want to disagree with my opinion that I'd be useful (I honestly think I would have been.... seriously) and with the fact that I could have won with the town and nearly did (will be indisputable after the game) that's their business. It ultimately doesn't matter; I merely am stating my position for the record, and that's done now.
As I said I know too much about this game now so I am bowing out. Will watch with enthusiasm and root for my champions.
Never give up, trust your instincts, and all that good stuff. Keep your eyes on the prize, don't be distracted.
I'm going to cease being a distraction right..... now.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Night 5
That night, the crew of the GFS Olympus was tired after a long lynching. Most of them went to sleep, but there were always some who remained awake during the night hours.
One such crew member was K. G. Misawa, the Recon Scout for the GF’s 07th Platoon.
Misawa knew that he would have a distinct tactical advantage if he moved quickly and silently and stuck to the shadows- and being a scout, that was something Misawa tended to be good at doing.
What Misawa didn’t realize was that he was heading dangerously close towards the Docking Bay in his corridor choice. He didn’t realize this, of course, until it was already too late. He entered through a doorway that led into a large, wide-open space. There was no back wall to the room; it was open space, blocked by a force field. And in the center of the floor was a large, orange gunship. It unmistakably belonged to the Hunter.
Misawa, noticing he was in a rather dangerous section of the ship, turned around to quickly head back where he came from. In doing so, he bumped into a being in orange armor.
Misawa panicked and stumbled backwards, and began to plead for his life.
“Wait, Samus! Don’t you remember, it’s me, K. G.! We were friends in the Academy!”
The Hunter paid his words no attention and began to step menacingly forward, with her gun pointed at the trooper’s chest.
“Please! We can work something out! You can’t do this!”
The Hunter continued to walk forward as Misawa continued to back away. Suddenly, the trooper panicked and started firing his gun wildly. The rounds were no doubt chipping away at her energy, but they were largely insignificant the Hunter paid them no mind, beginning to charge up a swirling mass of dark energy in her arm cannon.
With a sudden lunge, the Hunter wrenched the gun out of Misawa’s grip and pushed him to the ground. Pointing her arm cannon straight at him, she fired at point-blank range. Misawa screamed as he was swallowed up by the dark vortex.
-----------------------------------
A figure in jet-black armor, with a faceplate that glowed bright red, strode down the halls of the Crew’s Quarters. It stopped when he had reached his destination: a half-open doorway. The figure powerfully kicked the door so that it slammed into the wall.
Inside, the hero Link had been sleeping quite peacefully, but was jolted awake by this rude gesture.
It was dark in the room, and his eyes were still unaccustomed to the light. Frustrated, he got up and tried to figure out where his enemy was, then yelled when he saw the red glow.
“HYAH!”
The dark figure chuckled.
“Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much. I’ll be the last thing you see… before I erase you from existence!”
The armored warrior fired a blast of charged light energy from his gun directly at Link, but to its surprise, it was reflected directly back at it and struck it in the chest. Link held up his trusty Mirror Shield and grinned. Then he pulled the Master Sword out of its sheathe and began advancing on the dark figure.
Realizing this was a mismatch, the dark-armored warrior turned around and beat a quick retreat down the corridor. Link was about to chase after him, but he was still kind of sleepy, so he lay back down on the bed and passed out.
--------------------------------------------------
Knuckles the Echidna was out at night doing what he did best: hunting for treasure.
It didn’t matter that there probably wasn’t a whole lot of treasure to be found on this ship; Knuckles was just sick of not being able to fight his enemy on even terms. Perhaps the “treasure” he would find would come in the form of finding a secret passageway leading directly to the Hunter herself. For some reason, though, he couldn’t shake the feeling that everyone else on the ship was watching him.
Eventually, Knuckles came to a small doorway. He might have missed it entirely if he weren’t purposefully looking for something- it seemed to just blend into the wall. Taking a peek into the alcove, he was taken aback by the large, glowing orb he found inside it.
Before he could touch the orb, though, it floated up and into the corridor. The Echidna was mesmerized; it reminded him of his Master Emerald back home.
Suddenly, a large, humanoid body began to form around the orb, leaving it exposed at the center. The creature growled at Knuckles in a booming voice, and he was surprised and jolted by it. Then he readied his fists.
The creature looked slow and lumbering, but it actually moved quickly. Knuckles was barely able to jump out of the way as a massive appendage slammed down in front of him, threatening to crush him.
No matter what maneuvering he used, Knuckles could not get at the creature, for it always had a spare appendage to defend itself with- and with his short arms, Knuckles needed to get in really close to attack.
The creature slammed the ground with both of its attacking appendages, and Knuckles leaped into the air in between them. Diving forward, he struck the exposed glowing orb with his spiked fist. The creature roared in rage, and released a pulse of energy that knocked Knuckles away from it. Then the orb began glowing so brightly that it was hard for Knuckles to see. The creature released a massive amount of energy, engulfing the entire corridor.
Knuckles was completely obliterated; there weren’t even ashes left over.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I am back from my second vacation, which was somewhat tied to the first.
I think for my sake and that of the fora, I should remain within the Main Hall and venture out only to post in the Gameroom...
Now I am very behind and I have no idea of what the titles of those who have been killed mean, and I am very surprised that I haven't been WOGed.
Nonetheless, I enrolled in the game, I'm still in it, so I will do everything in my power to ensure my side wins.
Which is not very much at all.
I'm going to sit back and read instead of voting for now - if anyone values my vote enough and has the time, I would appreciate very much a summary of who is thought to be who and why.
----
Question: Why isn't pevergreen dead yet? That is very strange (No, no intentional offense pever - you just don't usually survive so long...)
Maybe the mafia are being nice to him since he lives in a flooded city (Good luck pever).

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
So last nights scum gallery
Samus- Everyone's favorite Bowser-Corrupted Bounty Hunter.
Armored Man-Same or different as Cool Dude? Was Cool Dude Shadow Peach after all? Either way, Bowser-Corrupted
Orb Creature-???? Neutral??? I'm not even totally sure if this was an attack or a reaction to being targeted by an ability.
Notably absent: everyone's favorite Phazon-Corrupted Pokemon.
Why is it every time we kill one 3rd party we seem to get another. We kill Meta-Ridley, we get Dedede. We kill Dedede, we get Orb Creature. I feel like we're playing Whack-A-Mole in Space.

From my point of view, you were a good lynch.
1) You fingered TinCow and Renata because they were going against you, not because you wanted to help us.
2) You defended Beskar in the game thread, and he defended you. It's only after Winston's actions that Beskar was revealed publicly. We couldn't be sure if you knew Beskar's role prior to that.
3) I had no knowledge of your dealings with Capt Falcon or with any hero, so no idea that you were directing Falcon's defense. I'm also expecting others were unaware of this, so you cannot hold it against us.
4) You admitted being unable to win with the Town, but surprisingly changed your story later. I didn't believe you, can you blame me?
5) And of course you were a revealed serial killer. :laugh4:
You are not looking at this through a Townie's eye. Your comment is unwarranted and too harsh, we didn't "bungled" anything. Given the knowledge we had, you were definitely a good lynch, but you have my apologies for lynching you, if you were in fact trying to help us *.
* But I have some doubts about that. First and foremost, I think you were trying to survive longer, and helping the Town was a covenient alliance. Given an opportunity, you would have betrayed us if it meant victory for you. Let's face it, that's how a neutral role should be played.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Btw, I am waiting for Chaotix to confirm that I have lost permanently (for dying as a survivalist) or if I can help the Town and salvage a win from this (a minor victory or even a draw). If not, don't expect me any help from me anymore, as I still have some suspicion that I was killed by a vigilance (though it wasn't Capt. Falcon, thanks Secura :P). No way I'm going to help the heroes if they signed my defeat, unless I get confirmation that a lost isn't definitive.
@Seon: Tell me seriously that the heroes have nothing to do with my death.

It is invented. Sigurd's "Revenge of the Sith"
It is still pretty much the same amount of kills. I think it might be a case of neutrals randomly spawning.

Is that why he's "dived under" the radar by staying silent?
((Sorry pever ))

Perhaps more fishing attempts might make him break water.

The Villainy List
johnhughthom
Why? Oh boy, this guy is so scummy that I don't know where to begin. 4 bogus votes, 2 on Winston, 2 on khaan. Participation is low, and very unhelpful. I've seen him play as scum before. You're just gonna have to trust me.
Skooma Addict
Why? I made a case against him yesterday, but we got distracted by King Dedede. I'm dead now, so I can't help but think this may be related. Or maybe not, but I'd rather see Skooma dead just in case.
Frozen in Ice
Why? Autolycus said so, but he can't tell us why (cause he's dead).
Csargo
Why? All game long Csargo pinged my scum radar. He never gives a good reason to place a vote. Evasive, unhelpful, perfect candidate to lynch if you ask me.
Seon*
Why? He's a top scum, just lynch him asap, please.
Nictel
Why? Nictel+lurking is synonym of scum. Also, he had a strong reaction to ATPG's accusation and the bandwagon that resulted. Scummy Nictel as to go eventually. Any vigilante should pull the trigger immediately.
Thefluffyone93
Why? Just read some of his posts, they're all equally scummy, but this may just be his natural self.
* Okay, I'm kidding about Seon.

Any posts in particular you want to point out?

No, they're all equally scummy. :smug2:
Please answer this question: Did you kill Romanic? (properly formatted please, such as "No, I did not kill Romanic"). Thank you.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Oh, and this goes for everyone else. If you have nothing to hide, just answer this question in one of your posts: "Did you kill Romanic?" .... again, a complete phrase would be nice.
No, I cannot tell you why I am asking this.
Anyone who is uncooperative on this matter will be persecuted. Harshly.
Thank you.
But I think it's fluffy.

Plus, once the pressure was off him, he completely faded away. That doesn't seem innocent.
Plus, I've died twice to two different mafia teams. Nobody but Nictel could do that. :laugh4:

A little. You might not be my killer, but that doesn't make you Town either.
And lol at the image you posted. :laugh4:

I agree (with the first part, at least :P). It wouldn't be a bad thing to get votes on Nictel, if it gets him to talk.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Why thank you good sir!
Edit: Wait, are we supposed to be voting now?

Samus, I swear, if you're a CFC'er and not Nictel, then I will cause you a painful death and a very itchy rash in some future game.
I regret to tell you that I have nothing to do with your death in this game :P
Which I mean in the sense of our feud ;-) Not that I want innocents to die
Furthermore I was away for the weekend building for a website and this week I must convert and join two databases. It's a bit busy. I don't have time for long analogies but I try to help where I can.

I feel like revoting Beefy, but I'm going to go with vote:Csargo instead. Speak up, mate.
Hello, how are you today? It is quite cold here atm. I dread the thought of going outside and freezing. Of course I will have to leave eventually and that scares me. Well not really, just don't want to go outside. Have a nice day ~

Hey :beam: I'm good, but kind of tired, and also dislike the freezing cold. I hope I can stay indoors for all of tomorrow instead of waking up before the devil gets dressed to play substitute teacher for a class of 8-year olds. And have a nice day as well

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I have a hunch we'll find a mafioso or two jumping on the Jarema bandwagon after he was revealed as King DeDeDe. This seems the most suspicious among them:

Also, I'd like to remind Yaseikhaan, Khazaar and Glenn that you'll be WoG'd if you don't vote this round.

Ah, yes, because Sylux is obviously Samus's BFF.

Bwahahaha! That nancy didn't even have the balls to try and infiltrate my castle!

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I disagree with the Blackadder vote - looking at his posts.
At first glance, Skooma, classical_hero and vote: Beefy187 are good votes to me.
*sniff* *sniff* *sniff*

Because the only ones still alive (assuming every bounty hunter is in the game) are Spire, Weavel, Kanden, Ghor, and Sylux.
I highly doubt it was Spire, as the way the assailant attacked doesn't fit him.
Weavel could also be a choice, but he seems to use a grenade launcher type weapon and his blade.
Kanden already seems to wear black armor, so its feasible the green light would turn red if he was recruited.
Ghor is quite weak, unless he uses his giant mecha suit, which would make him easily identifiable if he was the attacker.
As for Sylux, it appears most of its weaponry and equipment is stolen from GF forces, and it seems to be the only one who uses an actual gun.

I agree with this logic, vote:Captain Blackadder

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Vote: Captain Blackadder sounds like a good candidate to me. Looking at his previous posts he wasn't on the Tincow or Renata wagons, but he was on the ATPG one, so I find it possible that he might be Pikachu.
