Mass Effects's violence is hardly excessive. It's the possibility of extra-terrestrial sexual intercourse that would freak out gramps.

"I don't think she wants anything ridiculously violent, but aside from that there shouldn't be a problem."
Mass Effect then
Ok, let's suggest something and be done with it!
For everyone's convenience, I've posted a summary and reference thread, with the aim of it being updated monthly. Ideally you'll go there if you need to remember something about a particular encounter, or if you just want to reflect on where you've been.
Still waiting on orders btw.
Search for the games "Mass Effect 2" and "Fallout 3".
Both games are in stock. Mass Effect 2 is $50, Fallout 3 is $40.
Oh Fallout 3... he could use the extra 10 bucks for DLC.
Or he could give us some food.
We should go skip surfing with the old man, he's poor too right? ~D
Fallout 3?
Sounds good to me
Suggest Fallout 3 to man then talk about soundtrack of game ask old man if he is a fan of Roy Brown.
Um isn't fallout 3 an 18+?
It's a lot more violent than ME2.
But tell him to get ME2 if he wants to get the less violent game
None of that's going to work. Before you actually buy anything, make sure you read out the ESRB rating to him. That way he can decide for himself whether the game is too violent/smexy or not.
I'm not going to be around to post that when GH does the write-up.
Then do an add-on order. I don't mind what gets said.
Hayes's face lights up at the mention of Roy Brown. "Now there's a name I haven't heard in years," he says excitedly. "Are you saying that they put his music in the game? Sold!" He takes the game and walks up to the counter where there is one person ahead of him.
Who's Roy Brown?
The only composer I'm familiar with is Jeff van Dyke.
Roy Brown is a blues muso. Google is your friend.
Wait for him to buy the game.
Awesome!
Perhaps we just set up a good device to help bond grandfather and grandson, through the power of video game music.
That'd be pretty cool if we managed to do that :D
Um... Is it just me or have we taken a very random tangent in this game...
Like we woke up in a dark room in a crazy dudes house with no memory and now we are helping an old dude buy a video game.... Like who would do that.... We are altogether too calm for the circumstances....
I say we explain in full our situation to the old dude, hopefully he is understanding due to the amount of effort and niceness we have shown him (have we done this already?) then I reckon we see what he says and if good we continue with his help, if not we make our way to an internet cafe... Or somewhere where there is internet access.... We need to get back on the "Finding out what the hell happened to us" route instead of this randomness.
I think getting to a hospital in the hope of seeing a doctor or a psychologist might be a good idea... but then, how does it work in the US: (excuse my ignorance) if we don't have any money/health insurance will we be turned away?
I'm pretty sure we'll be turned away without any health insurance cards. I doubt we have one too, but it is possible we could go there and have them look us up.
I don't know how we'd do that, but it's an idea.
Let's just do nothing for 3 in-game years. Then well have heath coverage.
And a lot of other things... *grumble*
NEVER
We are now committed to video gamez
We should get a job, go to school for video game design, and then make a video game based on our story! :o
And make millions off the stupid chumps who'd play it.
I see we are on a tangent again....
I might just go a head and do it lol meh who cares its only a game you can all kill me later....
After he buys the game, offer to shout him a coffee at a local (in mall) cafe.... When sitting down talking... Explain in full in as sane a way as possible your predictament... Saying that you have no idea who you are etc... And that the Police dont know either.... Wait for his reaction... Be as unthreatening and nice and kind as possible.
I see that there already is a posted order waiting for him to buy the game.... Just do this one next as it leads on after that
NOOOOOO
We can't explain to him!
We may as well divide by zero if we try to explain it.
