I think thats done. Ok sorry about the brief hiatus I had one heck of a shock getting used to AS Mathmatics homework. The map is done and Zim is helping me with the Role PM's seeing as he knows more about the worlds countries than me so I think we will be able to accomodate new players.

I read a thing about Mao the otherday, I have to admit, he was a pretty bad leader. He is like the Stalin of China, but really bad, as where Stalin's five-year plans succeeded, China was nothing compared to how it is today.

I'd say you would have a smaller army than you did have seeing as you've been in a world shattering conflict that practically ruined your economy. But I assume that a downsize is not what you were thinking of.

NATO got stronger though, we just traded happily, possibly sold some nations on the side weapons as they were worried about the warmongers in the East. All that jazz.

Re: Cold war Cataclysm 1992 edition.
Right lets get this over with there wasnt much going on publicly so I asked to publicise one or two turns results to fill the space so heres the first part.:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Kiichi Miyazawa Prime minister of Japan looked around the room, across the table from him sat Paul Keating PM of Australia wearing a slightly bemused expression on his face. To his right Yon Hyong-muk Premier of North korea was nursing a black eye that had been administered by Chun Doo-hwan PM of south korea who was sitting to the left with a grin on his face. This was going well. It had taken many favours to get some of these men into the same room and a even more to keep them here, so what happens? 5 minutes in the two Koreans had allready been forcebly separated 3 times and Kiichi was being billed for 3 broken chairs and smashed drinks cabnet. Well, may aswell...
Kiichi-"Ahem as I was saying before I was so rudely interuped,"
Paul-"And the waiter was brained by a foot stool."
Kiichi-"Quite. Now lets get down to buisness, I have invited you here in the hopes that you will help me forge a new beggining for the east pacific. The Sino-middle eastern war showcased what powers like china and russia are willing to do to gain dominance over Asia and the war showed how powerful they realy are. Now I dont know what they will do next or when but I know this: NATO has proved that unless they are attacked directly they will not take up arms if Asia burns. I believe we should join together to keep that from happening, as such I ask you to join us in an alliance specifically to make sure China and Russia don't manage to destroy the continent."
Yon-"Why am I here? What makes you think I would entaer into an alliace to oppose them when China and Russia are our friends?"
Chun-"Oh realy? If I remember correctly you predecessor had one heck of a job explaining to both of them why you didnt help either of them during the war."
"Hah, if we had helped you backstabbing demons would have attacked us when we were weak."
"Weak? I thought you had the worlds finest army or were you just bluffing when you claimed your army had 4 million troops?"
"I assure you we do have 4 million and theyre all three times as good as your mob of hoodlums."
"My mob? Please, the reason you have 4 million is you count 'peasants with dustbin lids and barbecue forks' as soldiers."
Yon stood up from his seat
"Thats it you son of a-"
Kiichi-"Shut. Up."
Yon paused.
"I didn't invite you here to bicker, if you want to fight do it in your own time, but right now either say you agree to this alliance or shut up and sit down."
Yon looked puzzled for a moment, wondering why he should obey the Japanese PM, but that quickly subsided and he sank back into his chair.
Paul-"Well that was a fine show, it's not my decision alone but I dont see why my government wouldn't agree to this."
Chun-"I agree, if all goes well, South Korea and japan should be allies by the end of the week."
Yon-"There is no way in hell that we will join an alliance that has him in it."
Kiichi-"What a shame, the exit is 3 doors down the hall just keep going you cant miss it."
Yon glared at Kiichi, got up and walked out.
"Well I think that went pretty well."
Japan is now in a seperate alliance with South Korea and Australia.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It had been a long day for Madhukar Hiralal Kania. He had spent all his life striving to become Supreme court justice expecting to be ordering all the judges around from the big chair. He had finaly become big cheese just last month and what happens in his first week? a bout of flu knocks out most of his staff and now the Supreme court justice was forced to stand in for a blasted Magistrate. It was therefore understandable that when an american suit sauntered up to the stand with a formal request for permission to build a car dealership, Madhukar had to keep himself from whacking his secretary with his gavel.
"Name?"
"John Smith, your honor."
"Seriously?"
"Yep."
The irritated judge eyed the man.
"Ok then... Mr Smith... it says here you want to set up a car dealership in Panaji on the vacant lot on St Inez road, is that correct?"
"Yessir"
A security camera swiveled around observing the room. Blasted contraptions, thought Madhukar, every minuite that damn tinker toy screams into life, it doesn't help that the security guards never bother to oil the thing, its half rusted.
"Blasted thing, well, this shouldn't take long I'll just need to sign this and..."
After what seemed like an age the security camera fell silent.
"Finaly I swear that damn thing is not worth the money. Right mr smith go with my secritary here down to the record room to collect the deed."
In their collective relief niether the judge, nor the american, noticed that the camera had not returned to its starting postition.
As Mr smith was walking to the door two burly men in Indian millitary gear walked in.
"John Smith?"
"Yes?"
"AKA Mr Alfred Willick?"
"Excuse me?"
"Mr alfred willick of the United States of America, secret service?"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Mr Wilick you are under arest under the suspicion of being a spy, any attempt at resistance will be met with lethal force you are to surrender any weapons you have and come with us."
"This has to be a mistake I'm not Alfred Willick and I'm no spy."
"According to the chinese records captured 1985 you are, now come with us."
Alfred reached into his jacket but froze when the two soldiers aimed their rifles at him.
"Mr Willick you are suspected spy that means we are allowed to kill you if you resist, either come with us peacefully or come in an ambulance, your choice."
An american attempt to infiltrate India failed.
I dont see the point in putting up a new map seeing as not much has changed so. Day 2 april 1st 1992.
Edit: I just notice how large my blocks of text are so I've spread them out so its easier to read.

Re: Cold war Cataclysm 1992 edition.
America is disappointed in India's ruse of arresting American citizens on false charges.
We would request India to demostrate the following:
What evidence of any crimes are there? What has been committed?
Why was this person granted a visa by your government, then arrested?
We would like to inform India:
Innocent before proven guility. A person, if they even are a member of the CIA (which they were not) cannot simply be arrested unless they commit any crimes. Has this person committed any crimes? I fail to see anything other than susposed "counterfiet topsecret information" from the Chinese, from a decade ago. The CIA is the most respected and feared intelligence organisation in the world, to imply we would even use an agent that was leaked from 7 years ago is a very poor judgement.
We would request the return of the American citizen, John Smith, and hope to put an end to the sour relationship between our nations.

India is quite unhappy with this American attempt to gain intelligence on our country. We find it interesting that a country so quick to tout its position as a model of democracy and its solidarity with free nations would commit such an action against a fellow republic.
"John Smith"'s trial is set to start within a few months, at which point further state evidence against him will be revealed. You are welcome to send a lawyer to defend him, otherwise he will be provided one by the Indian state.

America is firm in its defence that no crimes have been committed on Indian soil by the subject, especially on the charges of conducting criminal activities. The citizen John Smith is currently having his 5th Amendment rights breached by Draconian actions and false charges.
United States of America will offer a compromise. An independent court, such as that by the sovereign nation of Switzerland will take care of the proceedings. This will remove undue government and political motives that your government processes from the verdict, also, you must also specific exactly what crimes have been committed within your borders and this visit, by this individual. Surely, a free nation and model of democracy and fellow republic would agree to a fair, balanced trial where justice can be served.
