That still seems strange that 3 or 4 people bet 10 credits on some random guy at the last second on the first day. If they knew before hand that he was mafia or anti-mafia I guess, then I would think that they would have posted sooner.

NO THE CARDS ARE FOR STRIP POKER I ALREADY TOOK OFF MY PANTS
I doubt that. I think there are more than 4 factions out there. Probably at least 10.
Maybe each number corresponds to a faction- 2's are one faction, 5's are another, and... I don't know what the Chaotic Faction would be.
It also raises an interesting question: There are 52 cards (well, more if you add the Jokers), but only 50 of us.
Pizzaguy laughs at the delightful pain.
Takhisis states that pizzaguy does not deserve capitalisation because it would mean discrimination against Askthe.
I have about 30 of 50 players sending in orders, which is pretty good! That's why these phases are 48 hours for now, because I would like to see near-full activity.
Don't forget guys, even if you don't have an item that can perform an active action, or don't want to spend credits, you have a hidden talent, and two action slots, and attempting a skill-based action costs you nothing. You don't know what your hidden talent is yet, so try to figure it out. It costs you nothing, and you could discover you're a natural detective, vigilante, roleblocker, bus driver, thief, reviver, defender..... anything.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Don't waste free chances to improve yourself or your knowledge of yourself.
Just got semi caught up with thread, will send in orders as soon as I can.
Hello again to all.
I keep looking at my role PM trying to figure out if "Texas" could plausibly connect with one of my enemy factions, and I can't see that it does, not that I expect you'd all choose a breadcrumb that had any obvious connection to anything. Although if there does happen to be a Western mafia or some such, you realize you're all toast, right?
Here's hoping such ruminations bring some fear into your lives. I can't find anything great to breadcrumb with either, so schadenfreude is all I have to get me by.
Cheers, scumbags.
The problem with breadcrumbing is that there are multiple factions per side
How insensitive, my mother was lynched 4 games ago.
I'm saying cards are a form of hold Em. The question is, does everyone have them and how do we acquire theirs?
I'm guessing leftover items after a night kill?
Can they be stolen, and if so wouldn't than be an alternate method of "faction scanning" someone?
If they were unattainable after a lynch, this means in order to obtain a preferred hand one may have to save someone from lynch whilst murdering them at night for the sake of getting their card....
I AM CONFUSE
That is a really good point with the 52 cards. I bet jokers are just being ignored and its 50 players + the 2 npcs = 52 cards.
Maybe red cards are chaotic and black cards are mafia or vice-versa, but then again that would mean that there is an equal amount of each faction, which I doubt is true.
Maybe the "Royalty" cards (Queen, King, etc.) are chaotic and the numbers are mafia factions. That seems to be a more realistic possibility.
Anyway, I'm just throwing out ideas for now.
I honestly think you're way off. The cards aren't obtainable items, that's for sure.
So obviously there's one for every player. I think that there is some definite system for how they're assigned, corresponding to faction and/or team. The purpose then is for us to eventually, in the very late game, be able to determine what roles are left by process of elimination and association. That's my theory.
WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN-
Perhaps two players have cover roles, each of which has its own card? That would make sense, especially if the cards somehow correspond to certain aspects of our roles.
EDIT: With that in mind, anyone want to speculate on what Jerry Seinfeld's particular ability was? I'm guessing he would block other player's night actions. Probably by showing up and telling bad jokes for hours. (I actually find Seinfeld funny, though)
I know what the cards mean. Na na na na na na. :smug:
How do you know that the NPCs are the jokers?
Maybe we all have secret cards that we don't know of yet, and something happens to the player whose card is selected.
Yeah like maybe my secret card will make my shirt come off. Renata made me do it.
Here is a complete list of things you can attempt to do without spending credits or using items, for the purposes of trying to uncover your hidden talent with your second action slot.
1. Investigate someone
2. Roleblock someone
3. Vig-kill someone
4. Protect someone else
5. Protect yourself
6. Kill your attacker
7. Resist Theft
8. Resist Scan
9. Resist Roleblock
10. Revive player
11. Bus driver
(switch two players so the effects applied to each will apply to the other... useful as a defensive or offensive weapon)12. Steal item
13. Steal creditsDerp. Dunno what I was thinking. You always have to spend credits to steal credits.
Sorry I did not post this sooner. My mistake. Will add to opening posts.
NIGHT ONE
Define your meaning of war
To me it's what we do when we're bored
I feel the heat coming off of the blacktop
And it makes me want it more
Because I'm hyped up, outta control
If it's a fight I'm ready to go
I wouldn't put my money on the other guy
If you know what I know that I know
It's been a long time coming
And the tables' turned around
Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is goin' down
I'm not running, it's a little different now
Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is goin' down

The sound of hooves clattering against pavement alerted TheFlax to the fact that someone was approaching. He turned around, half expecting to see a familiar face, but what he saw was someone... or something... that he did not recognize.
"Heh.... heh.... heh...."
The dark figure towered over TheFlax, raising its arms, summoning dark forces. TheFlax froze like a deer in headlights, but as soon as the stranger unleashed the evil orb, he took off like a bolt of lightning. He dashed down the street, as fast as he could. He was just about to turn the corner and escape down one of the alleys, when the dark energy ball impacted him in the back. TheFlax was thrown against a nearby building, and lay mortally wounded.
He looked around with sad eyes, hoping someone would save him from this dark figure, but no one came.

classical_hero lay in the sewers, waiting for the inevitable. Somehow, he just knew that they were out to get him, whoever they were. The sound of a manhole cover scraping against pavement alerted him to the fact that someone was about to enter his dark and twisted lair.
The creature began to drool.... it could smell fresh meat. It lay waiting for the intruder to walk into its trap.
*BRAWWW...... BRAWWWWWW...... brappa brappa brappa......*
The creature was alarmed to hear the strange noise. It had never heard anything like it before, not in England, and not in this strange place. The creature was not afraid, and charged forward to devour whatever was making that horrendous noise.
The beast spotted the smaller figure, raising a tiny weapon. Unimpressed, the creature advanced, roaring loud enough for the entire city to hear. The beast swiped at the small foe, trying to crush it between its powerful limbs.
The beast was shocked to see its gigantic claw hacked clean from its body. Enraged, the beast lunged forward, trying to bite and slam the puny thing. Within seconds, the beast was covered with gaping wounds, flesh gouged from its body, and blood leaking everywhere. The beast was shocked that it was losing this battle so horribly, and could only scream in terror as the masked figure drove the chainsaw clean through its chest.
With one final roar, the beast tried to retaliate against the victorious foe, but it was too late. Classical_hero suffered a fatal heart attack, and the cartoon peril was no more.

Kagemusha was quite beside himself. The duo went everywhere together, and they were usually foes. But having gone through hell and back, the pair of critters became fast friends, and stood ready to watch each other's back in this cruel and unforgiving place.
That is why, when the pair heard the sound of heavy footsteps approaching, they were ready. One of them held a giant mallet, and the other held an axe. They stood side by side, prepared for anything. Or so they thought.
A towering, massive figure stood before them, bellowing with evil laughter. They lunged forward.
A giant fireball impacted the smaller one, with the axe, knocking it backward and engulfing the poor creature with agonizing flames. The second creature stood toe-to-toe with the attacker, and attempted to bash it to death with the giant mallet. The blows, however, bounced off the creature's huge, intimidating frame. The assassin grabbed the larger creature and lifted it over its head, and impaled it on top of a fire hydrant. The other, smaller creature quickly burned to death.
The fight was all too brief, and the outcome certainly surprised the veterans of violence. But they were too dead to express their shock.

ByzantineKnight stood proudly in the center of town. A massive figure, he felt he was prepared for anything, and felt no fear. When a familiar figure approached, the beast felt a kinship.... and immediately trusted the smaller figure. The two did not exchange any words.
However, ByzantineKnight suddenly felt an annoying stinging sensation in his chest and arms. He looked down and saw that bits and pieces of his skin were being torn apart by tiny projectiles. Confused, the creature looked around to see what could be causing it. The beast turned toward its new friend, the smaller figure, to see if it could gain any clues. The smaller figure was making a lot of noise, and this began to greatly irritate the towering beast even more than the tiny projectiles. Unable to connect the two annoyances, the great lumbering beast roared at its new friend, as if commanding him to be quiet.
When the noise continued, the great beast lumbered forward, roaring louder and smashing up parked cars and anything else standing in the way. The stinging sensation continued. Why was his new friend not listening to him? Stop making noise! Stop it!
The figure began slowly backing up, and it began throwing tiny egg shaped objects in the direction of ByzantineKnight. These tiny eggs clattered to the huge creature's feet. It looked down, wondering what they were. They exploded, coating the giant creature with flames. The creature hated the bright light and the noise of the explosion, and it became enraged. Maybe this familiar figure was no friend at all....
Finally, the creature turned toward its attacker and tried to stomp on it, but the smaller, faster figure moved out of the way. It tried to pound the figure into the pavement, but it kept moving. Finally, the giant beast grabbed a street light and pulled it out of the sidewalk, and began swinging it at its attacker. One of the blows landed solidly, and the much smaller foe went flying, and landed rather roughly some 30 feet away.
The flashing and the noises stopped, as did the stinging projectiles.
Satisfied, the confused giant lumbered towards the fallen foe, wondering why his friend was hurting him. The beast was startled when the figure managed to get to its feet, bloodied and battered though it was. The figure pulled two long blades from behind its back, and faced the giant. The giant stood its ground, still angry and confused at the unprovoked attack. The smaller figure lunged, moving faster than any human being possibly could. It buried the long blades deep into the giant's chest, impaling the creature straight through the heart.
Reacting instinctively, the giant slammed its heavy hands together, crushing the attacker, and it pulled the small foe off of its body, snapping bones in the process, knocking the wind out of the little thing. The monster then lifted the attacker up with one hand, and slammed it roughly against the ground, trying to kill it.
The giant could take no more of this abuse, and it began to transform.... the virus inside its body activated, and the already giant, enraged creature became more and more furious, and grew to several times its already formidable size. The bellowing creature could be seen and heard all across The Purgatory.
The smaller foe weakly pulled itself to its feet once again.... astounded that the creature would not die. It looked at the giant beast with glowing, furious, murderous eyes... It produced a crossbow seemingly out of nowhere, and aimed the weapon directly at the giant's face, and squeezed the trigger.
Tied tightly to the bolt was a small cylinder, filled with a special kind of powder, and protruding from the cylinder was a short, lit fuse. The bolt impacted the giant in the eye, causing the giant to stagger. The powder then exploded, shattering the giant's face and dealing a mortal blow.
The massive figure roared with indescribable fury, its body burning, bloodied, and blown to pieces. With its final bit of strength, the massive giant uttered the following word....
"Venganza...."
The creature fell forward, swiftly and with murderous intent. The smaller attacker could not move its battered body out of the way in time, and it was crushed beneath the huge corpse of El Gigante.

B_Ray was hopping along, when suddenly a dark figure turned a corner and approached the small creature. B_Ray bared its fangs, and leaped into the air to deliver the decapitating blow.
RUN AWAY!!!!
However, a burst of powerful energy stopped B_ray in his little rabbit tracks, and the tiny creature was blown into smithereens almost instantly.
One Rabbit stew, coming up...

Nooooo!! dirty innocent chaotic´s killing Itchy after finding two of them!!! Nooooo!!! It was Scratchy who found them!!! (Itchy and Scratchy butchering each other with ugly black bat wings attached to their backs.)
So Seon WAS one of the enemy. In that case so is Renata. I am happy to trade myself to these two scum. Thanks for showing your connection so early on! Now can someone please revive me so we can hunt down the rest of the "Chaotics"?
I mistakenly overlooked an order among the many many dozen in my box. Please check the writeup for changes.
EDIT: Captain Blackadder hereby replaces Double A.
EDIT: All N1 Results have been sent out, I believe. Missing results? Contact me!
I thought having a passive hidden self defense talent was a bit pointless, since you'll probably never see that you have it.
I was wrong. So count me lucky this far (that's by ATPG:s account, so no random 0% test attack) and for atleast freaking 6 attacks this night.
For that, I'm going to request that people are kind enough to leave 1 retaliation item for me.
Vote: CUSTOM DESERT EAGLE for myself
Wow that is lucky that the OMEGA VIRUS SAMPLE killed one of the scum
Good to be back . To make up for my horrible lynching on day one I think I should get my former selfs puffy shirt
Vote Blackadder Puffyshirt
Max wager today is 20 credits, btw, in case it wasn't clear from teh game rules.
Dont forget your bets.Id put my money on Renata. Nice touch trying double bluff on me, but bad luck with Seon dying.
Wait, so let me get this straight. We already killed a mafia by day 2, because of a retribution kill? Are these retribution abilities like landmines for the mafia, if they try to kill the wrong person, they will be unlucky enough to be killed in the process?
Bet: 5 credits on Renata
Honey.. No.. Tell me it's not so?
Why I... What?!
Muhaha, I was right about Seon :smoking:
Bet: 5 credit on Renata, coolness does not exonerate Seon of his hideously chaotic crimes
Also, why is Blackadder talking as though he had a previous incarnation in this hellish hellhole? :laugh4: Multiple personality disorder is a very common sign of... CHAOS. For safety's sake I think we should:
Vote: PUFFY SHIRT to myself
Oh...umm...I mean... You have fallen into my trap! Yeah, my ingenuous trap! All part of my plan, yes very Machiavellian, whom I murdered, by the way.
Yeah. Well, as an objective dead who really, REALLY doesn't care whether or not you all live or die, you should TOTALLY try and murder Renata because she's totally my scumMcscum pal, pal who would vote on capt. Blackadder to save my life on day 1, thus clearly manifesting a theoretical link between me and her. Yup, no strings attached. Totally not my diabolical scheme to kill Renata from beyond the grave when I get killed before D4. Yup, definitely not.
Wow, I was right with B_Ray all along.
I vote:TRAITOROUS ELF for Beskar so I can assist in finding the evilz and I vote: OMEGA VIRUS SAMPLE for Beskar to dissuade any mafia for killing me for gaining an investigation ability!
Going to add a Vote: PUFFY SHIRT for Beskar because an extra 10% survivial chance would be handy as well.
Do items stack, Pizza?
Hey Beskie ~. Heads up: you'll want to make those item votes blue.
And I suppose while I'm here:
Vote: ANIMATOR for myself
Vote: CARTOON HAMMER for myself
Vote: OMEGA VIRUS SAMPLE for myself
Vote: CUSTOM DESERT EAGLE for myself
As far as I know, items stack onto each other. 40% chance of retaliation? Come at me, bro!
And Bet 1 credit: Subotan.
Vote: CARTOON HAMMER for myself.
Hmm? You were right that he, for the purposes of this game, was a townie? So you voted for him in round 1 while predicting he was a townie?Quote:
Wow, I was right with B_Ray all along.
I was semi expecting a "wow I was right with Seon all along" instead
Anyway,
Vote: Animator to DiY if only to provide some comfort that I won't be killed super early for the third game in a row.
And also Bet: 3 Credits on Byzantine Knight, quotation reasons spoilered to avoid a longer post.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
On Renata, I'm more inclined to believe that she wouldn't be so silly as to link herself so early with a scum buddy, and Seon post-death responses looks like he's just trying to fuel the fire deliberately.
Since the Anti-Mafia faction force [win] by simply having more credits overall, I'm disinclined to pursue the Renata case, especially since it looks to me like Seon is capitalizing on Kage's posts to incite people to post a larger bet on her.
WHY YOU KILL ME!?
But also:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
EDIT: Hey you up there, Death is Yonder, you do know I'm dead and I killed a mafia... right? :juggle2:
On a side note I have now edited this post 4 times because of awful triggerhappyposting (yes, that is one word) and I am honored to be a Night 1 kill. Even if Random.org decided my fate ^_^
Cleric! Rez Plzz!!
ATPG the killer rabbit is a vig kill item that only has 10% of success, right?
Vote: Jolt Killer Rabbit
Vote: Jolt Traitorous Elf
Vote: Jolt Animator
Vote: Jolt Cartoon Mallet
Vote: Jolt Virus Sample
Vote: Jolt Custom Desert Eagle
And Bet: 1 on Renata
Bet: 4 credits on acin
Yeah. Your questions are scummy.
Now. To do what everyone else will do... and vote every item to myself. Well, ain't this a smart system.
Vote: Killer Rabbit to myself
Vote: Traitorous Elf to myself
Vote: Animator to myself
Vote: Cartoon Mallet to myself
Vote: Virus Sample to myself
Vote: Custom Desert Eagle to myself
Vote: Puffy Shirt to myself
Also Bet 1 credit: Beskar because voting items for yourself is scummy!
or is it time to bandwagon? fold; Bet 1 Credit: Renata ?
I think it is time for talking.
There is only two options for Seon to react towards accusations against Renata . I suggest for people to put small bets on Renata and if someone decides to mess up those bets, it will only mean the person has agenda of sorts. Lets dont overthink. It is a simple process of elimination. Scattering bets to all directions makes it easier for people to hide amongst the bets.
About the items, I really don't think we should pick the easy route and VOTE EVERY FRICKIN' THING FOR MYSELFZ - it would be only too easy for someone chaotic to get lots of free loot and/or hide themselves amongst the mob of people trying to get free loot. Can't we at least try to limit ourselves to one or two items each? You know, for the good of the evil people and stuff :embarassed:
Likewise, concentrating bets on Renata allows people to hop on semi-freely, but I guess that point is debatable :sQuote:

Anyway, the phase is probably 48 hours long (judging by the previous day phase), I guess I'll see what Renata has to say and retain my wager first.
:yes:Quote:

Not a good night for my faction. :( Hopefully it was my kill that got the retaliation on the attacker.
Vote: Killer Rabbit to myself.
Hey don't be like that. Everybody knows that we dead folks are maginalized, left for dead and stepped upon. We have to stick out for each other.
Nonsense, see, if anybody gets said investigative ability, anybody with a brain will say "Oh look! A likely target!" and then protect him. And the Chaotics, if they have any brain, would also tend to avoid said target because it's likely to be protected!
See, it all makes sense! What you should do is to give the guy the prophet item, and then protect somebody else! See, no mafia would ever dare target the guy with the detective item.
No ulterior motive here. Honest. I want to help you people. If you don't do as I say, I will be turning in my grave.
Speaking of graves, would anybody mind rezzing me? Thanks.
That is false. Only if the target is protected by a connected Town Information Network, especially as you will have use up credits in order to arrange a protection on the target and people will not be willing to part with them so easily.
Plus there would be immense pressure from town (/mafia pretending to be town) on the investigator in order to attempt to discredit them and have them lynched.
That is something I can bet on with certainty.
Also: With the amount of kills last night, mafia can afford to make the town keep using up all their credits to protect some one and they can afford to keep trying to have them killed.
I think I'm going to have to agree with Kage's reasoning and Bet 1 credit on Renata
Also:
Vote: Killer Rabbit To myself
Vote: Animator To myself
Vote: Cartoon Mallet To myself
Vote: Virus Sample To myself
Vote: Custom Desert Eagle To myself
Vote:Desert Eagle to myself
Bet: 2 Creds on Renata For the moment, El Gigante is the best guide I've got.
Will vote items to others for reciprocity.
Also, for whatever it means, the clubs are getting mauled.
A lot of deaths night on 1, so either people got extremely lucky and found their hidden talents or they dropped a lot of cash on purchased vig actions.
I figured people would just start voting things to themselves. We need to start making drug deals and trading bets and item votes to get items, so if any other townies want to negotiate, I am game. PM me for negotiations.
I am curious what happens in the event of item vote ties.
I am also curious why SEON was 2 characters.
I am also curious about the cards, as so far there is no distinct pattern between dead people of the same faction.
Most people probably tried vig actions and a few of them probably succeded. Remember, there are still anti-mafia out there (such as dcmort)
First was his cover-role, second was his actual role.
Me and Seon were both clubs, and his cover role was the same faction I am.
Also, lynch all hearts please. They are my least favorite suite.
Bet: 2 credits on Renata
I believe there is evil in the hearts of man. Plus most people have fun killing other people because its way more exciting than protecting other people. I bet out of all the groups taking actions last night, more tried a vig kill than more town-friendly actions such as investigation.
ATPG, knowing human nature as he does knew that he could only entrust this ability to a chosen few. Which is why there were so few kills. Also, no sign of anyone investigating... bad town...
EDIT: Also. Stop voting Renata. Let's get some other people squirming.
PUFFY SHIRT- to myself
TRAITOROUS ELF- to ArpeggiateTHIS
ANIMATOR- to myself
CARTOON MALLET- to captain blackadder
OMEGA VIRUS SAMPLE- to beskar
CUSTOM DESERT EAGLE- to DIY
KILLER RABBIT- to myself
Get voting Kage too. He is easy to read under pressure.
Fold; Bet 20: Kagemusha
Bet: 2 credits on Renata
I would also love to vote all the items to myself but it seems like everybody will do that. I really want to be carful to not vote anything to one of my enemies though.
