Yes, yes I am trying to save myself at the moment. We're on the clock with seven townies against two scum. Any hit that isn't on me had a chance to be a mafia. The crew members passed through the day wearily. Especially tired were Vivian and the GF Researcher, who had spent all their strength fighting the monster Gorea the night before. By the end of the day, they believed that they had managed to find another one of the killers. Captain Falcon was called in and the votes were tallied.
“Today, you have determined to be guilty: the sole remaining GF Demolition Trooper. Please step forward.”
The Demo Trooper walked forward, once again mumbling curses under his breath. Last night he had nearly lost his life, and it looked like it was once again in danger today.
“I hope you all have chosen correctly… this man was attacked by Gorea, after all.”
“Hah! Chosen correctly? All these fools have been doing is screwing up the whole time, and you think they might have made a correct choice for once? That’s a ridiculous notion!”
“What do you mean? We have been successful in catching the killers in the past.”
“And you take that to be the right course of action? You are more of a fool than I thought, Captain Falcon.”
“Soldier, are you insane? You’d rather these killers were still at large?”
“I should have killed you a long time ago, Captain…”
The Demo Trooper’s armor began to glow and blurred. When the light stopped, there was a different suit of armor standing in its place.
“HYUK HYUK HYUK HYUK! I’ll destroy you all! You are nothing compared to the power of the Hunter!”
The odd Hunter changed its arm cannon to missile setting and prepared to bombard the few remaining crew members. They were all weakened from last night; if the Hunter attacked, most of them would surely be killed. The quick thinking Captain Falcon came up with a plan.
“HOLD! Listen up, Hunter, if that’s what you’re calling yourself now… why don’t we raise the stakes a little?”
“What are you suggesting?”
“Let’s make this a one-on-one battle. I bet you can’t even beat me by myself, let alone with support on my side.”
“HYUK HYUK HYUK! Are you challenging me, Falcon?”
“May the best bounty hunter win. SHOW ME YOUR MOVES!”
The rest of the crew stepped back as the two titans clashed. Captain Falcon rushed forward with blinding speed and struck with burning fists at the Hunter’s armor. Though accustomed to ranged combat, the Hunter was no slouch in a fist fight. It blocked and parried with its left arm and retaliated by bashing Falcon with the arm cannon as if it were a hammer.
Neither warrior was able to land a significant blow. Falcon was fast enough to dodge the Hunter’s powerful strikes, and the Hunter’s heavy armor made up for what it lacked in speed. While it kept up the fight, the Hunter began charging up a beam at the end of its cannon. Seeing an opening, it thrust the cannon into Captain Falcon’s face and fired at point-blank range. The Captain was launched backwards by the blast.
“HYUK HYUK HYUK HYUK! Looks like your time is up, Falcon…”
The Hunter stood over Falcon and aimed the arm cannon downwards. Before it could fire again, though, the Captain swept his foot out and tripped the Hunter. Before the Hunter had fallen to the ground, Falcon grabbed it by the neck. He wound back his right arm.
“FALCON… PAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUNNNCH!”
The Hunter was thrown into the wall and smashed into it with great force. Its armor began cracking and crackling, looking about to fall to pieces. The Hunter began giggling maniacally.
“Well done, Captain. You have defeated me. But can you defeat… yourself??”
The Hunter began glowing, and its shape changed. When it was done, the spitting image of Captain Falcon stood in its place.
The Captain was taken aback. But the Blood Falcon wasted no time and rushed towards the stunned Captain. The two Falcons engaged in a series of furiously fast punches and kicks, but in the end the true one was victorious. The creature was once again grabbed in a choke hold.
“FALCON KICK!”
The devastating roundhouse kick sent the Blood Falcon flying into the wall. He got back up, but the pain and fatigue were visible on his helmeted face. Still, the Blood Falcon began glowing and shape-shifting yet again.
In his place was Ganondorf! The dark lord began laughing in his deep, booming voice. Then he taunted Captain Falcon.
“Yes, that’s right. It was I the whole time! GANONDORF! THE KING OF ALL EVIL!”
“I’ll destroy you just the same!”
“Captain Falcon… I AM YOUR FATHER!”
Captain Falcon fell to his knees in shock. He didn’t want to believe it, but he knew the truth in his heart.
“That can’t be true!”
“Falcon, come to the Dark Side! Join me and we will rule together!”
“NO! I’ll never join you!”
Falcon stood up, and pulled out a beam sword. Ganondorf started searching around his clothing for something. He quickly became frustrated when he didn’t find it.
“Look, son… I’m really sorry, but I can’t do this… I forgot my sword again!”
“Oh, ok. That’s fine, dad.”
Captain Falcon put the beam sword away and proceeded to charge Ganondorf with only his fists. He battered the dark king with a flurry of punches and again sent him flying into the wall with a Falcon Punch. This time, Ganondorf collapsed to the ground and did not get back up. He began glowing involuntarily, and shrunk in size. The creature now assumed its true form.
Doopliss was barely able to stand up, but he was still laughing through his hoarse coughing.
“YOU!? You lied to me!”
“HYUK…HACK! HYUK… what was your first clue, Sherlock?”
Captain Falcon lifted the shape-shifter for what was now the fourth time. He wound back his fist yet again.
“Lord Bowser… I have failed you… hyuk… hyuk…”
“FALCON……”
