Six hours on my bittorrent download.
Maybe I'll wait until there is a real download option.
At least you can try to download the thing in the meantime? :juggle:Quote:

If you tried downloading this from a VERY fast server you might get a sustained 150kb/s download speed ~5000 secs or close to 1 and half hour.
However. If you use torrent (and this is no joke) you may easily get up to 600kb/s downloading speed whenever a seed is close by.
Finally torrent downloads in chunks, so any estimate is rough to say the least.
G. Appo, surely you live only for Europa Barbarorum?
No.Quote:

It says 23 hours now.
It's nothing new. I'm paying for a 5mb/s cable connection and in the afternoon and evening it's usually slower than my old 56k was.
either wait for someone to make a installer, or go to https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=75667Quote:

I noticed this thread which has an EB installer for BI, and I was wondering if I could use it for 1.1 as well. I think I'd rather use barbarian invasion, and figured this would be the easier thing to do (seeing as how I have no clue how to do it).
So should this work for 1.1? And if not, how could I make EB use BI instead?
The program sees 15 seeders and 193 leechers and is connected to none of them.
Where do you live?Quote:

I achieve 400kb/s or almost regularly on my 4Mbit line. Most of the time speeds cluster around 300kb/s. This torrent file (EB1.1) I got at around 140kb/s, which is relatively low. Try uploading more when you're downloading. If you limit uploads it won't allow you to download at a good speed.
Ah and later ship it over to my game PC with what? No, I will wait some time like I did with 1.0, and then downloaded it in 8min.:smiley:Quote:

Try using the muTorrent client software. I use that and it's very good. Also check the ports and see whether they are open or not.
Being connected to no seeders and/or no leechers may mean a number of things:
1) You are behind a router and your port forwarding is not properly set up.
2) Your ISP actively blocks Torrent & similar traffic.
3) Something else is wrong with your connection (try reviewing status and/or reconnecting)
4) Your ISP actively caps Torrent & similar traffic some excruciatingly low up/download rate.
EDIT: 5) Your Firewall actively blocks your client software. This is common with built in Windows Firewalls; usually a message box should appear asking you whether or not you wish to keep blocking the software or unblock it whenever you run the blocked software. Selecting unblock might just fix it?
I live in the Netherlands where this kind of traffic blocking is relatively uncommon (only Chello does this, AFAIK), but I guess in the USA where some laws are considerably more restrictive/forcefully enforced this is different...
But the problem lies definitely in the fact that you're not connected to anyone: so your client software can't download jack at all.

Ps and i think there is a share policy (how more your share the higher your upload)
Well my previous ISP used to cap downloads thru torrents, so it probably is really that. I wouldn't get anything higher than 20kb/s most of the time, so when I switched to my current ISP and found that speeds had more than multiplied by a factor of 10 and I was actually paying less I was ecstatic.
I was very close to the Marian reforms. Now I must make the difficult decision about whether I should restart my campaign with 1.1 or keep on truckin with 1.0.
Okay.
Teleklos, you complete and utter bastard. How can I now taunt Pezhetairoi. HUH?!
WELL?!
Fine.
Just leave me alone!

Have fun everyone!
Edit: Oh yeah. That's right. EB2. Heh.
Great jobs guys! Can't wait for EB II!
Interesting sidenote: if we had waited four more days the release of 1.1 would have been exactly on the sixth month anniversary of the release of 1.0.
Thanks for your countless hours of hard work. The historical battles look absolutely bad ass. I was wondering if their will be a downloading EB 1.1 manual for dummies like there was for 1.0 because that seriously saved my bacon.
Oh my god I can't believe I only just noticed this, why wasn't there a huge flashing button? I need to pay more attention to the stickies :(
Thanks team, awesome stuff :2thumbsup: :2thumbsup: :2thumbsup: :2thumbsup:
Cheers
One quick question on the install.
Should EB Trivial Script be installed in the file w/ the EB download and RTW base, because its promting me to put it in a seperate Programfiles/EBTrivialScript ?
Just four more days of taunting. Sheesh, is that too much to ask after all those painful hours of dreadful beta-testing *sob*Quote:
