TURN 4:
This turn was heavily focused on actions in the Eastern theatre. The Western Department, along with two smaller support forces, beseiged the Federal Capital of Washington, D.C. The ensuing siege lasted 5 months and claimed the lives of over 20,000 combatants on both sides. The seige began with the Confederate forces attacking Washington from 4 sides - the Maryland Corps to the East, the Army of North Carolina to the North, and the main body of the Western Department to the West and South. Troops from various parts of the Western Department manned their front lines, comprising of many miles of trenches and fortifications topped off with 5 large Redoubts.

The fighting was intense, and both armies still are licking their wounds, but in the meantime, the armies in the Western theatres got busy.
In Western Virginia, the Federal Army of Rhode Island, attempting to retreat after the stalemate at Huntington, made their way north via the Teays Valley, attempting to make it to Lexington, Virginia, home of the famous Virginia Military Institute; However, they were followed by a Confederate Cavalry Screen and a "Running Bombardment" that followed them up the valley; meanwhile, advanced forces made their way to St. Albans, Virginia, while the Army of Western Virginia, acting as a support and reserve, was stationed nearby. A few days later, the Federal Lead Elements hit the Confederate Defense at St. Albans.

Kagemusha was taken prisoner of the brave cavalry from Rhode Island. He asked me to send order to all his soldiers to end the rebellion and to join the glorious Army of Rhodes Island! :juggle2:
If Fisherking or host can take control of my army for this turn? I am sorry but i have some other things i have to focus right now.
Okay, that will be fine. And feel free to say so if you need to at any other time, it's absolutely fine. ;)
Fisherking, would you like to take control of their army?
I will do what I can.
Okay. Feel free to PM me with orders any time you're ready.
are we still playing or what?
I am sure he will get to it as soon as he can.
Something may have come up that slowed him down.
I've got it all done, I'll post it some time later this week, probably Friday as I have Friday off.
TURN 5:
This turn saw the armies in the East take little action as they licked their wounds. However, one major battle in the East did happen; The advanced elements of the Army of Pennsylvania, struggling to get out of Washington as they were under bombardment from Confederate positions on Arlington Heights, met the Confederate Army of North Carolina and the Confederate Maryland Corps in battle, in the vicinity of one of the 5 Confederate Redoubts used in the Siege of Washington; the Lee Redoubt. The Confederate troops got there first, quickly getting artillery on the Redoubt to use for later, looking over the several small villages below, where later that day, the bloody act would once again resume...
Battle of the Lee Redoubt:

Both sides fail to accomplish their goals; the Federals fail in that they were to attack Baltimore, and the Confederates were trying to fight their way back into the Entrenchments around Washington to tighten the noose once more. Meanwhile, somewhat farther north, the 6th Corps, Army of New York was dispatched to assist the Army of Pennsylvania in besieging Baltimore; However, they suddenly find themselves confronted with 2 Confederate Corps near Abingdon, Maryland.
Battle of Abingdon:

With both sides making little progress, it appears that a War of Attrition may set in if neither side takes the initiative...still, this gives the Union a great advantage...
Meanwhile, in the West; The desperate Army of Rhode Island, surrounded either by mountains or Confederate troops, has taken a gamble and attacked the Confederate Army of Tennessee.
Second Battle of St. Albans:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The Gamble pays off, and the Army of Tennessee retreats. This means that the Army of Rhode Island will be free to escape, but it must move quickly...
This concludes Turn 5. I will update army numbers at a later time.
OP Army Numbers updated.
Btw guys, there were several recruitment requests which I could not allow because they would put you over the maximum troop count for your armies. I recruited only as much as is allowed by the rules.
Only have to do the numbers for the Armies of Rhode Island and Tennessee.
Alright, all numbers edited. Please start sending your orders in. ;)
Alright, just a small announcement: I am now going to be giving players Spy information after this turn.
Is this game dead?
It is sort of my fault.
My net box died and with Easter it took over a week to get up on line again.
OK.
So we leally managed to interrupt the communication lines pf the rebels. Interesting!
Sorry for the wait guys, Centurion is still having problems with his Wifi and I haven't heard from Kage since before turn 5, though since he (IIRC) was a very high up member of the board and a friend of Tosa, I don't blame his absence.
no fisher took over for me though if i had known it was this long haha i would have been fine.
and btw kage i believe kage said he needed a break
Oh, whoops, that's right, Fisherking sent your orders for you.
So we're waiting on Kage then. That's fine with me.
