haha well face it our games keep each other alive, you were influenced by LotR, I was influenced by you and that Makedonian one will probably be influenced by us both.

has this game kind of died off? :/ i don't think i've seen an update on anything in a day or two.
well were in a council...voting dude.
To CP: No, this game hasn't died off. It's the voting period and I am sure after this we will see some serious action. Once I get back to my computer I can update Library as well.
What is the unit composition of the satrapal army of Aigyptos?
a few thureophoroi, 1 prodromoi, 1 hippakontistai, 1 peltastai and the other units I forgot (though I recruited them...:wall:);
it's an infantry army though
Oh ho!
Look who's back.
<----
<----
@TCV: I asked for a Infantry Army
Chancellor can you tell me how the recruitment of my Satrapal Army is going, thank you.
Thanks to both of you. It's for the website though so I'll want to have the exact composition, but I can get that myself later. I couldn't do that before because I was in class.
By the way, welcome back, kingsnake. ~;)
I will be taking the save in a couple of hours, so I will look it up then. so if anyone has any moves then they have 3 and a half hours
I appreciate that. Oh, make sure you don't miss the end of my SOT, because there's a move I want you to make for me. I put most of it in bold, but on the net, I'm a worrier. ~;p
your will willl be done,
ok the satrapal army is.....
3 Pantodopoi Phalangtites
1 Thureophoroi
1 Jewish spearmen
1 Toxatai
1 peltestai
1 Pdromaia
OI! Get me away from Sarpedon! Cunobelinus wants to live in peace in Alexandriea!
hey Βελισάρι&# do you mind uploading the save to the pbm uploader, the link you gave me wont work,
Damn straight! Aratos has always been cunobelinus' best friend, ever since they started campaigning together at the start of the game.
You can take the Royal army wherever you want, but that would mean 3 armies in Egypt (satrapal and the 1st syrian are already there). Anyway I was just planning a campaign south but if you want to go west thats fine with me.Quote:

Go for it, you can take him Incitatus.
Well, actually, he can only take the Royal Army wherever I want, because it's my army. The same goes with you: since you're commanding a regular army, you have to ask Sarpedon for permission before you attack anyone (or indeed if you just move, but you have that leisure for now ~;)).
Of course, there still was no edict for it, so no one has to co-operate... and that includes the Chancellor.Quote:

You can always go and try to take other places as well but Chancellor doen't have to support you and Basileus might have another plans for the army.
Edit: And trust me.. you don't want to anger our current Basileus: :clown:
So who do you want me to conquer next?
I'm alright with going West.
Unless... we're going to teach the Pahlavans a lesson? If the Satrap and the 1st Syrian can take care of the rest of the Egyptians.
The Royal Army awaits the Basileus' orders.
I think we should send it west, so if the you guys go against the ptolemies expect the chancellors help.
Hey, chaps. I'll be away until Saturday/Sunday. So could someone make sure Hierax and the Royal Army make it to Alexandreia/Antioch/wherever to retrain, get some new equipment if available and have a vacation before being ordered out again?
Thanks very much.
(By the way, Khaldun, did you mean "without an army"?)
ok nother 5 hour warning, will be taking the save to move Hierax and such. if anyone else wants me to move them just say so.
I think he means that, hypothetically, if you were to rebel the Basileus would have no army to protect himself... He'd be reliant on someone else to defeat you until he could scrape another army together. But, again hypothetically, if none of us helped him you could very easily become our new leader.
Not that I'm trying to incite rebellion, I just want to make sure that the leader of our most powerful army fully understands his situation.
that was also my understanding I just wasnt sure I wanted to say it out loud!
although that dosn't make much sense, I feel like the royal armies should kind of be above that, if I was the pride and joy of the basileus and was payed exuberant amounts by him, I dont think I would rebel against him just because some new guy said so. (especially for elites, they were the Basileus personal gaurd, they wont just turn like that.)
The "elites" are actually the most untrustworthy. How many times Praetorians in Rome changed emperors just because someone else payed them more?? I think the same happened everywhere and was not that uncommon.
And I did meant that Basileus could be whoever has an army(or the proper rank). Just kill the old one in a battle and you will become Basileus... Though, how long is another thing ~;)
good point. I wonder if TCV knew all of this when he gave his royal army away!
I did not. I have, however, already sent orders to give my army back. :laugh4:
