So if you had to pick one faction from vanilla MTWII that you thought had no chance of taking over the world, which one would it be?

This is from the sack of Samarqand in Broken Crescent. There are about 40 elephants in the gate area. I was in a hurry to crush the Kwaz so I could take the Mongols head on. When you're in a hurry, send in the elephants!

The great Polish navy will be feared! ... by some fishermen in a pond near Novgorod.:embarassed:
I'm guessing the AI hired some galley there.
And on a side note, there's been a cool little mini-development in this game. Notice the little rebel army near Helsinki? That is in fact a very nice army of veteran crusaders, composed mostly of Mercenary Spearmen, Crusader Knights, and Mercenary Frankish Knights. It's managed to hold Helsinki for almost the entire game, hence the fact it is a completely undeveloped backwater with only a damaged Motte and Bailey with no other buildings for a settlement.
So my campaign has basically developed a rogue crusader faction, not too far off from where the Teutonic Knights historically fought.:2thumbsup:
Why exactly it is there I have no idea, since the only Crusades I have noticed have been on Antioch and Tunis.
Yeah! I'm so proud of those rebels... The Frankish knights is probably a typo, should be Finnish knights :bow:Quote:

Not really a screen, but perhaps amusing.
My girlfriend made this for me in her sowing circle ;) It's awaiting a frame. Since she can only hear the sounds from the game, she thinks the Imams (and everyone else for that matter) are pretty lazy, they have to rest all the time! We continue tomorrow mighty sultan!

It looks like the Vatican hides something from the commoners...
https://img361.imageshack.us/img361/9092/0092ds3.th.jpg
...maybe an elections fraud and the fact that faith isn't the same with arithmetics:
https://img361.imageshack.us/img361/4946/0159no1.th.jpg
Hah, that wouldn't be the first or last time the pesky commoners weren't told something those Up High didn't think they needed to know!!
Clearly the dark art of election rigging has been around for many centuries! One side obviously had their relos 'helping' to do the counting.....
Interestingly enough, the majority of the visual bugs I encountered were in the French version of the game. Later I switched to the English version and the frequency reduced quite a lot. Maybe I'll post some other screenshots, at one point I was constantly pressing the printscreen button during French version campaigns... :beam:
(OT - Jeez, no more spellchecker for replies? Sorry for spelling mishaps then :embarassed: )
Hahaha that's great. Backwards tug of war?
LoL
Tell them to Fire!
Heh. Nice one! :laugh4:
Very funny. Needs no explanation, indeed. Wait, let me try something...
Commentator#1: (intrigued) We're now seeing a rare spectacle on the blue corner.
Commentator#2: Ah, Yes! That's their famous cannon warm-ups. They believe that if men do so prior to an engagement, why not the 'metal tubes that fire balls in a bang' that they use. It also it keeps the men handling them pent up.
Commentator#1: (in awe) Very intruiging.
Commentator#2: ... Well, more on that there have been reported cases where one side accidentally got their fuse a'light. The loud explosion that arise are a spectacular sight to behold. An amusement to the troops on both sides, and embarassment to their general. Those caught attempting to so while their general does speech pre-battle, end up trampled under their own general's horse.
Commentator#1: Most bizzare!!!
(Commentator#2 stares at his partner before saying,)
Commentator#2: Yes. Obviously...

In response to Sheograth
ive had that happen, lost by such a huge ammount that I didnt kill one guy and 968 of mine died before ever reaching them.... damn longbows
The cliff was totally unscaleable in mine. Really, You couldnt get up there. At all.
I spent five minutes having my guys run around looking for a way up before I decided to retreat, only to find out that there was cliff ledge behind me too.
Basically the battle had me stuck on a little shelf. Fortunately I saved prior to the battle out of habit and autoresolved it. Slightly annoying since I took about fifty casualties (which was about fourty more than the two units of huscarls could've inflicted otherwise >_>) from the resolve.
i hav an awesome pick to show, but how can i upload it here...?
Use a free imageuploading site and post the link here. Thumbnail is usually better to reduce load times.
An FYI session here. For any members interested to know.
You can overcome this problem if you get it. Read the following thread.

It used to bug me that I couldn't have the full battle because of that issue. Not a problem anymore for me however :2thumbsup:.

I found many of these images hilarious XD!
I can't wait to get my laptop and play this game (Bought it before hand.)
Hows this for precision shooting.
https://i248.photobucket.com/albums/.../0898-GOAL.jpg
During a seige at Bordeaux, my Catapault scored the goal of a lifetime, straight through the opened Gateway. Funny thing was, the flaming missle went straight over the French troops' heads in the gateway and landed clear in the courtyard hitting nothing but dirt.
I had the game paused, so i took another picture to show how far away the catapault was to make the shot (about max distance roughly).

Pretty damn good I think.
Thats a hell of a shot!

Can you make those pictures bigger?
I probably could, if I knew what I was doing.
:clown::clown::clown::clown::clown:
Beware! These foul faceless horsemen were witnessed in battle in the foothills of surrounding Edinburgh. Their faces are motionless grey with no eye sockets, noses or mouths. It is said that this can only be the wickedness of Sourcery! They carry the hacked off faces of foes across the backs of their necks so as to appear they are looking at you from behind!

Well thats the best excuse I can come up with for a graphics glitch.
I am a fairly large fan of horse archers. Well, ok, I'm obsessed with them, and play horse archer factions almost exclusively.
Here's why:

Water World
This is a custom battle I played that for some reason was in the middle of the sea. All the infantry drowned and none of the cavalry could move. It ended in a draw.
