Night II Conclusion
Tratorix was sat up in one of the brothel's bed. He was preparing to go to sleep after spending a while considering his life and situation.
Suddenly, after the sound of rushing air, a heavy javelin was embedded in Tratorix's back. After a few seconds of trying to remain stable, Tratorix collapsed into a heap on the ground in a pool of his own blood. The killer approached him and ripped the spear out of his back, but, before leaving, he made an incision in the chest and plucked out Tratorix's still beating heart.
****
Elsewhere, Rythmic was fast asleep. He never saw a group of men walk into his room and he failed to see the knife as it hovered above his head. The first he knew of his approaching death was when he suddenly awoke as the dagger pierced the skin.
****
Tratorix and Rythmic have been killed!

One kill by the puritans and one by the prostitutes it seems.
Are there only two puritans among us?
One kill last night and only one kill this night. This speaks of at least two.Quote:

The game should have been balanced before they joined and by not removing them, the puritans decrease the suspicious pool pretty fast.
I am going to vote:TevashSzat again. The reason is his very first post. He seemed to be slightly annoyed that the game started with a lynch. And it was also a subtle reprimand of the game host. I can't imagine that a pro-town would be annoyed with the opportunity of getting rid of a Mafioso as the start of the game.
Have we ever lynched a mafioso or the like on the first day before any kills were posted, ever?Quote:

This is mostly instinct but Sigurd raises a good point and I'm not sure what else there is to go on so I'd like to hear a little more from Tevash. We'll see how things develop though. I should be back before the phase ends to re-evaluate.
argumentum ad antiquitatum .
Even if this is true in the past, the chance is still there. And 1 in 20 is still a greater chance than playing the lottery. The luck might strike.
Who knows, maybe we did lynch a mafioso on day 1. I guess the final round with its results will reveal this.
The kill on Tratorix seems mafia, the second kill is made by "a group of men".
I assumed the prostitutes were female? Does this mean we are trapped in a brothel filled with male prostitutes :inquisitive:
I don't know about your preferences guys, but I for one want to get out of this place, the faster the better...
Vote : FactionHeir
I'm going to Vote: Sigurd Fafnesbane. Don't you usually have to be killed before you go trying to lead the lynch?:inquisitive: I smell something fishy.
:shame:
Unvote : FactionHeir
:creep:
I think Andres did this intentionally to make himself appear innocent as if "he wasn't paying attention so he can't be mafia"
Sigurd, I've argued the exact same thing Tevash did when I was innocent in the past. And, according to the very next post, it wasn't the first time I'd done so either. Expressing annoyance at the game format isn't an indicator for guilt by any means.
Vote: Sigurd
If you don't mind, I'd like to turn the conversation in the direction of your sudden change in behavior.
-edit- Actually, don't take that second link too much to heart. Turns out CA was a bad guy in that game.
Hehe... Yes and I got caught doing the same to EF in the Star wars mafia.
I am just looking for players that slip up. And we don't have much do we? There is not much discussion going on.
The only two players that have caught my notice is TevashSzat and shlin. The first seemed to gently reprimand the gamehost. Something I have done as mafia before. If you have anything else, please lay it before us for examination.
It's mostly based on that he's tended to vote as part of a bloc and perhaps latched onto popular targets (moreso with FactionHeir but also with makaikhaan). He's also more precise than most others with why he's voting. He offers an explanation with each vote. Trying a little too hard to be townie, IMO.
I could (easily) be wrong of course but, until I think there's a stronger case, I'll keep the vote.
I will not claim I didn't as I can't recall the game. Is that where pevergreen got a hold of a mafia pm?
There are no additional reason for voting Tevash. I mentioned shlin as a second player that caught my attention. I am not ready yet to share my thoughts on that in public.Quote:
So, you're additional reasoning for voting TevashSzat...?
The thing is that we will have nothing to go on without a lynch and mafia often aren't stupid enough to make themselves suspicious that early and get themselves lynched. We basically had a 1 in 10 chance or so of getting someone scummy, which imo was not too good.
Also, first round lynches tend to not be too logical or well thought out. I remembered this one game where in either the first or second round, someone started a customary early voting on Sasaki or someone like that as a joke/not seriously and then before you know it Sasaki (not positive it was him) was tied to be lynched.
I will Vote:sigurd atm for using poor logic.
Tally:
Sigurd 4 (GH, khaan, Andres, Sigurd)
TevashSzat 2 (Craterus, Sigurd)
So.. I am being lynched because I am the only one that actually postulates a candidate for this lynch with any reasoning?
I have not stated that my logic for voting Tevash is strong, But I haven't seen any other players giving any better.
That I have 4 votes because of opening my mouth before being killed, speaks of even poorer logic. :stare:
Oh sure, accuse me :furious3: What did I do anyway?
Sigurd's reasoning for voting TevashSzat is also a bit off... a game that starts with a day phase creates no useful discussion as there have been no kills... if there are any kills, then at least we can talk about something. Most games start with kills I think because of this.
On the otherhand if I did vote Sigurd I'll be a bandwagonner, so I'll pick on someone else.
Vote: Cronos Impera
Poor reasoning for voting FH, as stated before
Did some thinking now and believe that while Sigurd's logic was off, it wasn't really glaringly scummy, and he doesn't really need to be lynched because he is giving that much of a threat. The 4 votes on him, though, might easily turn into a big bandwagon which makes lynching anyone else impossible for this round.
Thus, I will Vote: Craterus whose post right after Sigurd's I skipped over. IMO, Sigurd didn't raise that good of a point so Craterus was just usiing Sigurd's observation as an excuse to vote on someone.
@Caius
Need I explain more? The odds of lynching the mafia the very first round, which, to my recollection, has never happened before are slim at best. Instead, those lynched are just the results of aimless bandwagoning. The following round often results in the lynching on whichever townie that was unlucky enoguh to vote at the last second or break the tie vote between two people, which again, mafia would probably not do. Sure, starting off at night gives the mafia an extra night to kill, but it at least gives us potentially more clues than just starting off randomly voting.
Tally:
Sigurd 3 (GH, khaan, Andres)
TevashSzat 2 (Craterus, Caius)
Andres 1 (Sigurd)
Cronos 1 (shlin28)
Craterus 1 (Tevash)
I specifically didn't latch onto Sigurd's reasoning because it's weak. EDIT: Hmmm, looks like I did a bit. But I also had my own reasons given in the later post.
You'd be better off arguing against those crappy reasons for voting you.
Also, you misspelt your own name in the tally. ~;)
Yes. As mafia, I always made it look like I was giving substantial reasons for my votes. Not too substantial but enough to make it look like I'd given it some thought. Your votes strike me as similar.
You have also been the one to make tallies and ask for them to be updated. A very good way to appear a helpful townie.
How sad it is that we've reached the point where the majority of people goof off and instantly suspect the person who is trying to actually be proactive.
