Accusing me of sarcasm? Yeah, real original.
True, but we also lost GF3, not from the town trying though :laugh4:
We really have to let go to an extent our feelings towards another player ingame, otherwise we become biased and make poor descsions. However, I feel your doing what might be considered not actually answering my full question - I asked why haven't you tried to make a case, but you ignored that. Your the type of person Sasaki to make an entire case form one post, yet you haven't.
I have time to burn yet, so I'm waiting.
Defending Taka? :inquisitive:
I am offering an opinion that he'd be an abysmal choice as a henchman this game due to the fact that he is more of a lurker than a contributor and we've been on an anti-lurker bender for several games in a row now, and in the last one, all of the mafia were contributors or at the very least, semi-active. If giving reasoning behind why I am not suspect of Taka over anyone else yet is a defense, then I differ with you on the definition of defense. If there is a case to be made against Taka, I am listening, and I'll vote for him if I see something compelling.
There is always the case to be made that perhaps Taka might be an interesting, riskier choice, seeing as how we now have people not voting for the lurkers as a backlash from Godfather III.
I'm watching you

In gf3 I questioned LW and then attacked him the next day because I was about to be lynched. After that we had the missed kill...and I advocated we lynch a lurker. That's why I suggested you compare to godfather 3. in the end of that game I stated that, as holmes would say, it's a capital mistake to over-theorize when you don't have enough information. I've also never been someone who goes for the same style every game.
The only people who've tweaked my interest this game are yoyoma and reenk. I've pushed for the lynches of pizza and taka because they fit the "good lynch" strategy that I think is good to use in the early game. I hope that answers your questions.
edit: and yes, the fake ending from gf3 still haunts my memory...
Ok I was a little confused at the start because of the dual names. I didn't get that AVSM was Padraic right away, I think I am up to speed now. I would prefer to abstain for now because we need to start a more focused discussion to find real clues of players identities.
Yes, I was quietly informed of the true resolution of GF3 after I opened my mouth and in a rage shoved both feet in and a bit of leg.
You answered my questions, but my eye is still upon you Sasaki, thus making you the most trusted person ingame to me for now. Now, back to some discussion...
Explain how Yoyoma being guilty also makes Reenk guilty. Also, explain your position on taka's lurking when he currently holds more posts then several other more nonresponsive players.
I'm giving Seamus until next round to respond. He honestly hasn't been busy with the Settlement game up until this point, kind of lurking there, and I did most of the questioning I believe.
edit: (didn't finish my thought) but now he is really really swamped. As such;
unvote: Seamus

Surely now that you've been revealed as a scum in the other game, you will be able to contribute more here.
I am just getting used to this godfather thing - cutting the head of the snake and all (get rid of the rest of the mafioso group). If I was one I would try and keep my head down (but that is probably a poor idea as..)
I am suspicious of those defending (yes you did ATPG - no real reasoning just a "hunch").
Vote Taka - Maynot be the Godfather but will as previously noted prevent lurking.

Gaelic, that kind of voting is illegal.
You cannot change your vote by edit. You must repost.
Well, for starters, his lurking is uncommon for him, as opposed to taka's, which is the norm.
Sort of the same reasoning I'd use for Seamus here. Hmm. Andres isn't barking either. Pressure voting doesn't work unless there is actual pressure involved. I'll question him next round.

Sorry for the wrong format earlier:oops:
Okay. I still agree with taka as a choice. taka is NOT the only one, and it would be useful to pressure more -- including me. But you might also add Arach, Sigurd and a couple of the newer names. Also, Ituralde isn't exactly burning up the boards, and he certainly knows the drill.
Yes, ultimately, I am trying to change taka's style of play a bit, just as mine was altered in response to many lynches and more than a few murders.
It is basic that interaction provides evidence and lurking does not. We end up all the time in these games hammering any poor :daisy: who actually talks in the thread while letting people who slide in, vote, then leave get away with it. I wish to nix that. Anybody who's providing a lot of interaction is a much easier target for mistakes, slips, and inconsistencies. That's the point. The point is not to instantly lynch anybody active in the thread just because you are more familiar with their name.
My contribs in this thread HAVE been thin. If you wish to lynch me for lurking, then you have enough evidence to do so. That will change, but I've only so much time and I have a lot of PM/reveal work to churn out in Settlement. I do not think that my contributions here have been hard to decipher nor inconsistent. Nor do I think they are grossly fewer than is typical of me in early rounds in most games.
You'll be getting my usual voter pattern analysis etc. soon, but you folks who have been here a while know that it is pretty silly to try before the 3rd vote.
Pizza: you of ALL people know how much I'm pasting into the settlement today.
Grrrr....this is what I get for breaking my own rule and signing up for two at once. :wall::wall:
Precisely why I unvoted you, Seamus. It wasn't fair to pressure you for contributing less here because of your activity today. However, and I'm not trying to pick on you, I think you would have more time to contribute in previous days... if I am wrong, all I really need is that explanation. And we have better lynch choices than you, I think.
Whenever I've been online I've posted, I hope GH's vote wasn't for inactivity because that that time I had 14 posts and GH only 6, I believe that if your looking for lurkers theres about 10 more candidates you could pick before I even enter the competition, I just come home to find 2 80 post pages added, I'm not posting too little, but all of you are posting too much. LOL
Too confused and tired, I'll only be called a bandwagonner if I go with the flow so
vote: abstain
for now...
My last post, before the one above me, was dated yesterday I believe, posting at least once a day does not classify as lurking in my book.

Well I suppose if GH had posted the fake-taka entry first and the fake reenk entry second I'd have an entirely different set of quotes. The point was, it's good to have "knowable" people alive in endgame...I just happen to enjoy reenks version of inscrutable more than taka's.

...And so, on that day, the 19th of March, 2009, began the greatest bandwagon ever on a single player. It all began when the one known as MakaiGreaterSeireiAssistantModeratorKhaan calmly and rationally laid out the most devastating case ever. With one reasonless vote, the link was forged. And the chain continued to grow and grow, and all the highlanders came down from the north in droves of hundreds, and thousands, and formed a bandwagon of rebels greater and more fearsome than any bandwagon ever before imagined.
The charge was led by the mighty Khaan, who charged towards the indestructible Sasaki with the fierce determination of a hundred thousand bloodthirsty men. There was nothing the rest of the town could do except surrender their logical minds to the overwhelming power of the determination to destroy Sasaki Kojiro. The men fought in the streets, in the hills, in the mountains... but Sasaki could not hold off the entire horde of peasants forever... and soon, he was felled by a thousand sword swings. The world itself seemed to stand united as one mind, one body, one force, and it rose up and struck down the mighty Sasaki. In the frozen wastes of Nador, the men involved were forced to eat Sir Robin's minstrels; and there was much rejoicing.

The End.

The legend was told for many, many generations, and has become part of the folklore of Ireland. That is, until the next night, when the pub closed.
The second day had drawn to a close. A few people still had red eyes because of the death of Padraic last night. They fervently wished that no more killing would take place tonight. But they knew it would. 6 came, how many were left?
Eventually, the voting came to a draw. 6 people had voted for taka, 6 for reenk roink.
pevergreen was left with the choice of what to do.

1) I'm not scum in the other game :brood:
2) A new season of my favourite comedy "Temptation Island" (Flemish version) has started; broadcasts are on Tuesdays and Thursdays :jumping:
3) Also : I won't be online from Saturday until Tuesday (carnaval :jumping:). pevergreen, if this would get me WoG'ed, then I'll do my utmost best to post an abstain vote, but don't expect something intelligent from me (not that my posts are ever intelligent ~:joker:)
Ok, perhaps not scum, but a person who has been eliminating townies left and right. Which is bad for town. :smash:

:medievalcheers: ~ :barrel: :medievalcheers: :barrel:
Thank you for the compliment Seamus, but I fear my last mafia games were around two years ago, so it's really taking me some time to get back into the action. Also the first rounds always consist of verbal sparring that can only reveal so much with plenty of WIFOM going around that I never felt like contributing a lot in those phases there are others like Sasaki or, as I have noticed by now, ATPG that go around and do the talking.
I'm glad it's night phase now too, since my girlfriend took a day off work and the sun is finally bringing an end to Winter! Those that know me from LotR can attest that I'm not exactly a weekend warrior. If my activity doesn't pick up by Monday though you are all free to lynch me for lurking! :2thumbsup:
Question is, is it a good thing that neither got lynched? My thinking is that chances are at least 1 is scum.
Im glad we didn't have a lynch last night
Taka was apparently a lurker who posted more than quite a few players
Reenk was being Reenk...
Hardly stellar reasons for either lynch... i just hope to god it doesn't end up in the same choices for me tonight...
Vote LittleGrizzly Because he dosen't like lynching.
Actually, he has racked up one late vote AND this night vote. He has posted pretty frequently but fairly cursorily -- lots of quick comments/humor but no analysis. The reasoning behind his vote choices are pretty simplistic and reactionary. He hasn't picked anyone controversial for whom to vote. Publicly noted that he had not received a PM yet just before gameplay started.
Lots of these are classic mafiosi dodges to seem involved without being threatening or contentious -- the classic lurking without lurking.
Good catch, White_eyes, FCBK really should be providing us with a bit more feedback.
He is also a TWC Mafia player:yes:.....not new to this in any way....I figure he is trying to hide behind being a new player:yes:

Ahh I see I didn't know that
Donney went to Mcdoogals and ordered a pint. He was wearing green for the holiday. Then Brendan came into the bar and said hello. Seamus looked at him with suspicion... but Brendan just smiled back. What is your name Brendan asked. Donney said they call me Seamus Fermanagh and why is it any busness of yours? Brendan said I am looking to recruit loyal irishmen, can I count on your support? And Seamus said no... I have nothing to do with terrorists. Just then Mairead shot Donney in the arm.
"Agggh, what'd you do that for, ya daughter of a whore loving drunk?"
Donney decided to leave Mcdoogals right then and there, and make sure he got patched up. Brendan just looked around sadly, and decided to leave his card anyway, but now it said Two Blind Mice.
taka was feeling pent up in the small cottage that was his home and he began to hint at the expediency of an nice walk;—"It was a lovely evening, and at that season of the year a fine evening so often turned off, that it was wisest for every body not to delay their exercise;" and such hints producing nothing, he soon proceeded to a positive recommendation to Mrs. taka, to take their walk without loss of time. Now they came to an understanding. Mrs. taka, it appeared, scarcely ever stirred out of doors, except of a Sunday; she owned she could seldom, with her large family, find time for a walk, and taka was forced to set forth on his own.
He gaily ascended the downs, rejoicing at every glimpse of blue sky; and when he caught in his face the animating gales of a high south-westerly wind, he pitied the fears which had prevented Mrs. taka from sharing such delightful sensations.
A gentleman carrying a gun, with two pointers playing round him, was passing up the hill that taka was descending, and while the eyes of taka were fixed on him with an evident wonder and a secret admiration which equally sprung from his appearance, the pointers bounded over and began sniffing at his boots. Oswald apologized for this intrusion by relating its cause, in a manner so frank and so graceful that his person, which was uncommonly handsome, received additional charms from his voice and expression. Had he been even old, ugly, and vulgar, the gratitude and kindness of taka would have been secured by any act of attention; but the influence of youth, beauty, and elegance, gave an interest to the action which came home to his feelings.
Occupied with these, and other, less mentionable thoughts, taka stooped to scratch the cat behind his ears, not noticing Oswald leisurely taking aim. The bullet hit him square in the chest, smashing his pink little heart to pieces and squashing forever the hopes and dreams contained within.
The cat just decided to go walking.
