Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Duel Beskar VS Reenk Roink
I do believe a blood debt is owed...
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
is it such a good idea to have duels every round? and have vigilante groups and all that ?
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
duel: Yaropolk versus Sasaki
I'd prefer not to lynch Nightbringer
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Duels are awesome. For evidence see this.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
In the interest of saving my skin and I am helpful for the town, I will unvote, vote:slashandburn

Why not?

You scared they might kill you? That would sure leave your partner in a bind, eh?

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Although I do remember a certain Mr. Sasaki costing the town a victory in Shadow Fort with his relentless vigilante blood-lust...
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Vig groups are good. I'd be in one if I wasn't so absolutely useless now. :laugh4:
I encourage vigilantism.

NONSENSE
We lynch several mafia on account of having vigged the person we were going to lynch the night before...
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Meh, there's only so much you can do once you're 10 feet under, getting lynched again and/or dueling someone would have been fun.
If my advice counts for something, I think you should lynch robbiecon.

Duel : Diamondeye vs Chimpyang
He was the first to propose a duel between two other players, and without providing a good reason. DE and Chimpyang didn't even post before robbie offered that duel. Why? This is clearly someone with vile intentions.

I don't think it's a necessity that we run around without thinking, slaughtering every person with a japanese name

that's up for you to decide ^^ but no. Same logic applies to the duels as to the vigilante kills

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Well, chaotix was a bad vig. But in a game with only two mafia, it's a grand strategy.

People don't die in duels...

Do mafia like vigilantism? No, because a lucky shot can cost them the entire game. Town can absorb a few mistakes, Mafia can't.
People who caution about vigilantism while practicing it in other games deserve to be hung from their dangly bits. THEY ARE MAFIA.

They cannot die ? in which case, duels sounds like a fine idea :)

Yes. Subotan, you went for vig groups early in past games. That was my first thought when I saw the vig actually.

It looks to be a good way of deciding those who are strong and those who are weak. That is a good way of deciding those who are strong are generally either powerful townies or mafia.

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
I'd be okay with a vigilante attack on robbiecon.
I've already organized such a group. Ready to fire if there's enough support.
Edit: I have a better idea. How about someone who is alive.

From the rules:

"Starts with two" and "Kill both starting mafia", suggests that it's possible for the mafia to grow, otherwise why use "start/ing" at all?

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
I was just pointing out that the last time we thought we could absorb a few hits and placed ourselves under Sasaki's command everything went wrong. You should also bear in mind that the FH were freakishly lucky. That doesn't equal OMG no vigs EVAR. I didn't even know we had vigs until a few hours ago.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Vote: Lord of Lent - cleaning up from the previous day, since the clues today are not as good.

Well you look nervous. Is it the scars? Wanna know how I got em?
Or wait, everyone knows how I got em. *shaking fist in anger* SASAKI!!! https://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2056/emotargh.gif
I like the cautious behavior you're displaying. It's totally unlike you. Since when has Subotan played cautiously?
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
How do you mean cautious? Cautious about accusing others or just being less antagonising then usual?
EDIT: I think I get it, being more cautious about vigging?

How about cautious as in asking questions about what pizza means by cautious instead of an outright defense?

Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
What am I meant to do Sasaki, provide the town with a full catalogue of evidence proving my innocence? You know just as well as I do that there's no evidence at this stage in the game, no way of mounting a defence that isn't just "C'mon guys! C'mmooooooonnnnn!". You can lynch me if you want, that's fine, as I'm perfectly happy to take a bullet (sword?) for the town. You can then see all the little scummies who will climb aboard the Subo-wagon to an easy lynch. I'd prefer though if a justification for lynching me actually existed.

You should die because you're warning against vigilante killing, as if this was our first mafia game and weren't aware of the risks already.
I associate that with mafia behavior. Reminding townies how to play the game has been done before, often by mafia. Yourself included. This was a previous tell for you.
-
Re: The Way of the Samurai [Sign up]
Because everybody here played Shadow Fort and everybody remembers exactly what happened the last time Sasaki called for vigs in that particular game, right.
Was it? I don't remember, maybe it was just me being a nice guy. See, I've played as mafia a lot in my past games, so you can take pretty much any aspect of my playing style and declare it a tell.
