Descendant of villagers from Eastern French city states (Montbéliard,) their ancestors likely being Teutones, Caturige, or Helveti.
So my face should be quite versatile, perhaps appropriate for Alpine or Belgae or Balkan folk?

In Europa Barbarorum 1 are only two mistakes from my opinion.
1.Slavic light spearman - He has got fair (blond) hair and beard - Slavic peoples had brown or black hair.
2.Boii swordsman - He has got black hair and moustache - Boii tribe were Alpine celts - fair blond hair...

Yes that's true. Celts from Spain and Great Britain had dark hair. On south of GB was little bit mixed with Belgium celts (fair hair). Absolute majority of other celts had fair hair.
But I dont have any informations about fair haired slavic people.

Although I see your hair map, I don't think it really represents anything. I mean, come one, who on Earth has browsed the whole Europe (geographically speaking of course) and counted Blond and Dark haired people (although I would not mind to count blond women).

They are called anthropologists.
While i'm sure the map isn't 100% accurate it does show the general trend for blonde hair in europe that I have seen in other maps ie. centered on scandinavia and decreasing radially from that point.

Tretii, Russia, from "Hrus"; probably "Rower", Viking. The realms of Kiev and Novgorod which merged into Russi were founded by Vikings, mainly Swedish, but with some Danes and Norwegians participating as well.
Bobbin, you do know where Jutes, Angles and Saxons came from I assume, then the Viking invasions and Normans- themselves descended from Vikings (Robert Guiscard basically looks and acts the typical Viking warlord for example).
Of course, I have a bias- being a Danish Viking fighting re-enactor, but the various migrations and invasions seem likely to have left their mark (Icelandic DNA shows conclusively that the majority of men were Norwegians and many of the women Irish). As has other migrations and invasions since- uncluding the current one going from Middle-East to Europe, but Scandinavians have not been very active in those ;-)
It seems to me as if the continuing trend will make us all a merge with time and only fringe areas like Iceland, Finland, etc will be somewhat distinct.
The largest % of natural blondes in the world is in Finland (as can be seen on the map as well), a fringe area little touched by migrations by non-Scandinavians or succesfully invaded by non-Scandinavians. My guess is the largest % of non-natural blondes would be Hollywood ;-)

I'm not saying they didnt have any effect as they obviously did, although I think it is overestimated by many (I don't believe the wipeout theory).
But I live and travelled extensively in the area of Britain that the map shows as having 50-79% and can say that the value is way too high, somewhere around the 20-30% mark is more believeable, although in some areas it is noticably higher (the Orkney and Shetland isles for example)

No, Ludens does not like us talking about blonde women here, they belong in the tavern- not in serious discussions, and he is right.
Bobbin, depends how you define light hair, if you divide in light-Dark with no middle shades the medium would be 50 %. If you count only blond (and where does blond stop and brown begin? look at my pics on my page, am I dark blonde or light brown?), certainly less everywhere even in Finland.
As for invaders wiping out locals, I believe no one since WWII or so have seriously accepted that...
All Scandinavian countries have 8-12 % immigrant population from the Middle East, Denmark has taken steps to slow down further immigration as this group is relatively reluctant to integrate or assimilate and come from a culture so radically different that it causes a lot of trouble.
Thus the growing hostility between "Them" and "Us", though it is of course more complicated than that.
I was speaking of immigrations from us, like in the 4th- 6th and 8th- 11th centuries.

Good work buddy, and to anyone else out there who may be in the same situation as I (i.e. virtually no modding/scripting/skinning skills) and would somehow want to help the team :book:. I look for faces in a not so special way, I just wikipedia a national football team of a nation (i.e. Algerian Football Team), find all the names in the team and just google image them one by one (you can even put parameters on your search to just show faces and what size you require). Depending on the popularity, you can also look up rugby players and even basketballers. Now I know we don't want armies of footballers (or do we....:inquisitive:), but you can guarantee reliability in your searches of what you've found, plus the team will be making the final decision so having a large sample size to chose from would help!
