Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
That’s all really just wheel spinning because there are 2-3 people I’d lunch before considering. Maybe even 5 depending on the future

I don’t subscribe to the theory that you have to save dya there. Sometimes you could sure, but sometimes you just either decide to stay because they’re going down anyway or you stay to roll the dice because if they don’t go down and you are on them that’s good looks for later.
Also in the mash that just ended on pog you literally bussed dya day 1 ove4 a villa when there were v/w wagons and they were a vig.
So I don’t buy the line that you “have” to save dya there and you feeding that to me is problematic to say the least.
I guess since you weren't in there D1 you don't have the full picture but I bussed dya only a) after Ladd starting pushing extremely hard for them
B) when the wagon got steam
And then after that flurry I dropped off and pushed creature as a counter, and then at EOD when the vote counter was roughly 8:2 with dya in the lead I switched back.
I only pushed dya after they were dead in the water from the other villas pushing them
Contrast that to this game in which the only other person pushing dya is sunbae and I could just ignore the push if I wanted to, it's entirely possible dya doesn't become a wagon if I don't push it that day
-
Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
I was a core part of the dya push this game
I was not in the mash, I had nothing to do with dya getting heat.
See the difference?

because he could easily do it at almost no cost? he had the perfect setup to do it with his rask push from earlier that day, if he eventually got heat for it later itg it would've been easy to argue himself out of it as a result
This does get a bit weaker given that GH was telegraphing that he would vote to save dya ig, and from that point if nl had even only one other wolf who'd do the same thing then I suppose he could just chill on the dya wagon and be pretty safe that they wouldn't go over in that spot

Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
I dont get this claim thing and im annoyed I wasted 20 minutes on it.
I just assumed he's talking about shot not as a literal shot but as more of a turn of phrase. Like, for example, If wolves don't kill me tonight i'm taking my shot taking out cuth tomorrow meaning that i'm not going to vig him but going to push him.
Maybe i'm missing something or maybe it's because others have played with him.
-
Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
though if they do hardclaim vigi at any point the real vigi should shoot them and never counter.
I would probably shoot them regardless if they hardclaim or not.
-
Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
The basis of that portion of my case is that his responses to me pushing a claim was dodgy/evasive in a way that opened the door to a later claim and seemed to be there with the intent of self preservation.
That the way they handled that situation was generally wolfy.

Pure rolefishing on Maple's part.

Re: Mass Effect 17er [Game Thread]
@Logic
@Manasi
AGGHAHGAH GET IN HERE NOW
This vote is the decisive one of the game. If town is ousted today, by Day 4 the Mafia will steamroll the disorganized and demoralized town and brute force another townie ouster! After that Town will lack the votes to resist in any meaningful way.
YOU MUST CHOOSE!
Arapocalypse, Cuth wagon isn't happening, so please back me up.
Visorslash, this is some Franklin bullshit and you know it. Back me up!
Hally, there are only two wagons today, Montmorency and Maple. Everyone's gotta choose.
Colonel, I am begging you to vote Maple here. I'm putting my life on the line.
Ephemeral, choose between me and Maple. I really need your alliance.

Like, there's any amount of disagreement possible in judging tone or process, but one has to take into account factors external to a player's posts too, because this is a game of deception. Factors such as mechanics and associatives. If you were spectating a hypothetical game, where you had one player who predominantly organized ousters against three mafia and another who fought hard against every one of those, but you thought by posting the first player was the worst-looking in the game and the second the best, you would reevaluate your impressions, wouldn't you?
At least come up with a plausible team for me to be with.

I mean, your position is that I'm more likely to be scum than either of them.
I don't think you'll have another chance to test Maple after today.

Why have you been lolcatting with all your thread-presence up to this point? Serious business is happening!
Please choose between me and Maple.

You're almost always going to die tonight unless we cinch Maple and he's scum - then I can die for you.

If y'all really policy-ousting an inactive on the decisive D3 of an MU-style game, someone's certainly going to be in for a rude awakening, one way or another.
