It's snowing. It's amazing. That is all.
It's storming. It's amazing. That is all.
First time I've ever seen it snow. It's still coming down. I made a snow circular thing and put it in the freezer. It won't be on the ground tomorrow.
I believe Ichigo means that he's never experienced SNOW. Period. Snow is extremely rare down in Texas. Results are absolutely hilarious when it does happen though.:smash:
It is snowing in New Orleans now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More than I've seen in 15 years. Maybe its even going to be more than then.
Did Hell freeze over or something?
I'll put up some pictures from my apartment.
Edit: Oh no, now it's raining!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good by  beautiful snow. See you next decade.
It snowed up here in Canada a looong time ago. And it's still here. Deep. White. Cold...
here in the ATL when it snows a half inch or so, the entire city grinds to a halt. you see, there are no snowplows.
I never seen snow...
I feel to left out in Florida..
There was snow, but now it is just freezing rain in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania.

Snow is actually quite common in the panhandle. When I woke up to go home yesterday it took me an hour how to figure out how to get ice off my winshield......DON"T JUDGE ME!
In Maryland, we get mediocre precipitation. I don't remember a big snow storm since that really big one maybe 5/6 years ago when it snowed like a few feet (iirc).
The past few winters, unfortunately, have been pretty lackluster. I think last winter, it barely snowed at all....
The news said the last time it snowed this much in New Orleans was in the mid 1960s.
I've lived in Innsbruck, Austria and in northern Montana, near the border with Canada. I've seen snow snow.
However, New Orleans and snow are not common lovers. They don't get together regularly and become one. The meeting is something very special and infrequent. It's like being married to a political prisoner on another continent. Sure, you might see pictures of it regularly on the TV, and people are always talking about it. But when you finally do get together... well, its very special (if a bit awkward).
Oh, you southerners.
I rode my motorcycle in the snow last winter (when we had feet of snow) and I'm planning to again.

another snow supporter! have a balloon :balloon2:
Seems like America stole my precious snow... :inquisitive:
Come on guys ... Have you ever rode a motorcycle in snow?
It is a brave endeavor and I am impressed.
Did you have studded tires on that bike like we have here?
Snow and driving is fun and reminds me of a glorious youth. Today the cars have ABS, ESP, front wheel drive and a host of other technical driving aids.
New drivers don't really learn to drive nowadays.
When the first snow comes, the traffic grinds to a halt by young mothers and kids being terrified by the strange slippery surface.
Me.. I get out my old Volvo 740 with backwheel drive and no driving aids, put some real winter tires on and take it for a spin full throttle.
It never goes straight but drifting has never been easier. It is top fun.
It was snowing here last night, it didn't last but I get the feeling we are in for a snowy winter. :beam:
Has anyone noticed we have three 'snow' threads now?
It actually snowed here about two months ago, started with hail and ended up snowing about a centimetre. I took pictures it was such a freak event.
I'm reckless. But also that snow is maybe the main reason Texans haven't taken over all of the USA.
Nope, big knobby dirt bike tires though. On an ole '95 200cc Yamaha. This January when I bring it out again I'm going to put studs on it though. The tires are a bit more worn down. It should be some good fun.Quote:

Unfortunately, I don't have that bike with me right now; only a naked bike. It snowed a bunch today, and tomorrow it's supposed to be 15F for the high temperature. :sweatdrop:
So right now my mobility is limited to walking distance and the sporadic bus service.
Oh, and Yoyoma, I love your analogy about New Orleans snow.

Snowing in Summer!? Texas plays by its own rules!
I want to clarify that I don't want to appear like a bragging jerk. But some of the people here are Texans; with their big hats, pickup trucks, amazing football teams and general awesomeness. So when I see something that my state is a bit better at (look at our college football :embarassed: ) I'm consoled a little.
I admit to already being a bit tired of the snow this year. *gah!* I'm becoming old.

Snow is a part of life, Rabbit. We all have to get used to it... I'm freezing right now.
Not so fast, Aemilius.
Back when I lived in Russia during the winter, we used to build tunnels in two-meter deep snow. That was incredibly fun. Albeit dangerous since there was a risk of collapse. I've seen more snow than probably anyone ever did in mainland US. I even remember a winter when the snow piled up as high as two and a half meters. Not exaggerating.
Yeah, same here in Canada. I loved building tunnels, it was so fun, although the danger assosiated with doing so never really crossed my mind.Quote:

Is there many hows lightning up with Christmas stuff?
Would be interested to see some photos.
(No snow yet.. I wonder when its coming... Or if its even coming this year :juggle2:)
Well, not so much snow up here, but something a bit worse.
Yesterday, we hit a high temperature at 11:45 at about 50 degrees Farenheit/10 degrees celsius.
By 10:00 PM/22:00, we hit -1 degrees farenheit/-18.33 degrees celsius.
Sorry for reviving this thread... but...
ITS SNOWING!!!
Biggest snow in 6 years so my school is closed :devilish: and that means I don't have to do a crosscountry run today!
w00t!
It started snowing again here as well.
Departed for work 10 minutes earlier than usual, did NOT take the "safe" highway where there was the grandmother of all traffic jams, but took secondary roads. If you're a bit careful, it's no big deal really. Arrived just in time for work :2thumbsup:
I absolutely love snow. And it dampens the sounds, it makes everything more peaceful.
No snow here... at all. :mean:
England has the most snow it has had in 18 years! London has ground entirely to a halt! Bristol... not so much, but I almost fell through a small Ice puddle.
We had enough snow here in Yorkshire to build a snowman, for the first time since I was 4!
60 degrees here!
Hehe, enough snow here to keep my school closed for another day!
:smash:
There were quite a few snowstorms up in Scotland today, apparently the best is still to come... :beam:
YES YES THERE WAS SNOW FOR ME TODAY LOADS OF IT
but school wasn't cancelled, dammed slave drivers! as far as snowball fights went many went down my back, arr the cold, though many you did that had there bags off, in which i found there bags and smeared snow all over there lunch and books, then walked causally away and blamed the guy in front of me
:creep:
I'm only in secondary school so the course is only 2-3 miles I think.
That "snow circular thing" (snowball to the learned) will harden up and become a deadly "ice circular thing" (iceball) in the freezer. If you want to kill someone wait a day and then peg someone in the head with it. If you just want it for beauty take it out and polish it every now and then.
