Dr. Dresden was sitting at his desk. He stared at the computer screen in front of him. He was bored. The snow storm had cut this little village off from the rest of the world. If only he wouldn't have stopped here for a couple of days. This could very well last for an entire week.
He lit another cigarette and leaned back in his chair, when a beeping sound announced that he had received an e-mail. Probably yet another spam mail about a product he didn't need, but he was bored, so he clicked on it.
Quote:
Hi Dr. Dresden,
Do you remember Bernard, one of your former patients? You had him locked up in your mental institution.
You locked up the wrong brother, you idiot!
We, Jeremy and Henry, are the crazy ones and we will prove it!
Because, WE ARE HERE!!! AND WE ARE GOING TO KILL YOU. And of course, we will also get rid of the rest of this petty village. After all, one louzy murder won't make us famous. But 13 dead bodies will!
HAHAHAHA!!!
Jeremy & Henry.
Dr. Dresden felt uncomfortable. He tried to stand up, but couldn't. With trembling hands, he smoked the rest of his cigarette and he called the number of the local police.
***
Willy was sitting in his chair when the phone rang. With all his colleagues absent, he was the only cop in town. He felt important, so he decided to let the phone ring a bit. After all, he was busy with an important file, called "minesweeper".
An annoying sound told him he had lost.
He stared at the damnable phone that kept ringing. "This better be good," he said to himself and he picked up the phone.
"Yes?"
"Sir? It's Dr. Dresden. I think we have a problem. I received an e-mail from two psychopaths who infiltrated the village. They threatened to kill me and exterminate all inhabitants of this village!"
"Really, Dr. Dresden?"
"Yes. What's that for a question. I can forward you the e-mail if you wan..."
"Are you serious, Dr. Dresden?" Willy said, hardly managing to avoid breaking out in laughter.
"Listen, you idiot, of course I'm serious! We need to find those two before it's..."
"I'm not an idiot, Dr. Dresden. I'm coming over there right now."
"Ok," Dr. Dresden said, with a sigh of relief.
***
2 hours later...
Dr. Dresden looked up at the ceiling. He gently touched his black eye. Trying to get up, he moaned softly. He walked towards his suitcase which contained some painkillers.
"So, Dr. Dresden. Let it be clear that I'm not an idiot. And as for your nonsense about serial killers, I won't waste valuable resources on funny guy 1.854.254 who sends threats through the internet. Maybe you didn't notice, but there's a snow storm and nobody can reach us. Not even psychopaths. Have a good night, Dr. Dresden."
That said, Willy left Dresden's hotel room, shaking his head.

Welcome to Staffle town, a nonexistant village somewhere in a country where they speak English!
Rules: I. Basic mafia rules
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
There two sides in this game, each with their own goal.
Basic mafia rules apply. For those new to mafia, I'll repeat them here, for your convenience:
Tourists are the townies in this game.
The townies are the innocent people and they have to lynch the mafiosi (in this game two psychopaths) during the day. The mafiosi have to kill a set number of townies each night. When all mafiosi are lynched, the town wins. When all townies are dead, the mafia wins.
Each day phase will last 48 hours; each night phase 24 hours. This may be extended due to real life circumstances.
The townies have to decide during the day by voting who will get lynched. The person with the most votes, will be lynched.
Votes have to be made like this: Vote : Andres
When you want to switch your vote, you have to do it like this: Unvote : Andres ; Vote : TosaInu
Please remember to BOLD YOUR VOTES! UNBOLDED VOTES WILL NOT BE COUNTED! No exceptions will be made. Note:
In this game, voting "No Lynch" will be counted as an abstain. When a tie is reached at the end of the day, the game host will randomly (as in "completely at random") lynch one of the players in the tie.
In short: there will always be a lynch at the end of the day phase.
II. Specific rules
* No communication about this game outside of this thread. (exception: Both mafiosi are allowed to communicate with each other outside of the thread.)
* It's not allowed to quote role pm's or night actions results in private; you are allowed to claim a role.
* Do not post screenshots.
* The dead are allowed to talk.
* No post mortem reveal of role/night actions.
* mafia has two kills/night, even when their numbers our down to one.
III. Roles.
* Jeremy and Henry : the psychopaths (=mafiosi)
* Dr. Dresden: a doctor
* Willy : a cop
On a slightly unrelated note, is AVSM not hosting his game?

You were listed on the queue as follows:
"A Very Super Market - Untitled for now (moved down 2 [again])"
Since it wasn't clear for me if you had been moved down and were now up or if you were going to be moved down, I asked the Gameroom mods if it was my turn now. Since YLC's game is in the end phase as well, I was allowed to go ahead and open sign-ups

Re: That Cold Winter
Night 1 - Conclusion
Reenk Roink couldn’t sleep. He switched on the light and grabbed a book. Suddenly, the light went out. He reached for the switch and the light was on again.
He shrugged and wanted to resume reading when the light went out again. Again, he reached for the switch and the light was on again. He looked confused. Would there be something wrong with… The light was out again.
Reenk Roink stood up and switched on the light again. He could hear somebody laughing and the lights were out again.
“This is not funny!” Reenk said, with a firm voice.
“You want to see what’s going to happen?” a voice whispered.
“Switch on the damn lights!” Reenk said, getting angry.
“Well, we were willing to show you some mercy, but if you want the lights on, then so be it,” a cold, sinister voice whispered in his ear.
Reenk felt a gun against his back.
“What…?”
Somebody grabbed his wrists and handcuffed him. A chain was attached at the handcuffs and Reenk was lifted up.
The lights were switched on again and Reenk stared at himself in the mirror. Two masked men came near, one was carrying a whip, another one a sharp metallic object. The man carrying the whip ripped Reenks’ clothes apart.
"Let's have some fun," the men carrying the sharp object said and he cut off Reenk's right ear. At the same time, the other men started to whip Reenk at his back and other places...
Reenks’ screaming went on for hours and after the two psychopaths were finished, his body was transformed into a bloody pulp.
***
Shinseikhaan was watching television. It was already 3.00 am.
“Shouldn’t you go to bed, Mister?” a voice whispered.
“Huh? Who’s there?” ‘khaan yelled, in the meanwhile reaching for his mobile phone.
A sharp object came down and cut off ‘khaan’s right hand.
“No calling the police, Mister,” another voice said.
‘khaan looked at his hand and started to scream. “Oh no, what are you going to do with me? I’ve done nothing wrong! I’m just an innocent civilian. Oh please, no! Mother! Father! Help!”
The two men started to laugh. “The sound of an angel!” one said. “Oh, I love it, please continue yelling. It brings us pleasure.”
‘khaan fell silent and started to cry softly.
Another strike of the sharp object seperated ‘khaan’s left foot from his leg and the screaming started again. Each time the screaming stopped, the man chopped off another part from ‘khaan’s body, while the other one sprinkled salt on the wounds. After more than an hour, ‘khaan was sitting in a pool of his own blood, surrounded by his own body parts.
Weakened by the blood loss, he couldn’t scream. He was exhausted.
“You’re no more fun, Mister,” one of the men said, shaking his head.
The other one grabbed the sharp object and decapacitated ‘khaan. He took the head and threw it through the window.
***
The people of Stiffletown gathered. They were very upset after they had learend about the two gruesome murders that had happened that night.
Willy looked at them.
“I heard rumours about two psychopaths having infiltrated the village. I have conducted several investigations in all secrecy, but I didn’t find conclusive evidence as of yet. Since the killers can’t wait until my investigations are concluded, I want you to help me with the investigations. You will discuss and at the end of the day decide on which person looks guilty. That person will then be lynched.”
It's now day. You can start voting. Day will last for +/- 48 hours.

Re: That Cold Winter
Andres usually allows killers to make their own writeups, if this is the case then I find these very similar to the bloody writeups of Captain Blackadder. What do you have to say for yourself CB?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Description originally posted by Captain Blackadder as Fillet Royale 2 mafioso:
A member of the beef mafia placed YLC in his prison to die. It will not take long. In the dark he will explore his cell. Curiosity will overcome him eventually. The pit, a gaping hole in the center of the cell, will become his grave. It is a cruel way to die, but not as bad as what we have prepared for him if he survives.
He crawls along the edge of the cell, against the wall. He is curious. What kind of prison is his in? He does not know what awaits in the center of his cell. The pit. Ready to engulf him.
They are coming, the enemy. Our forces have not been able to stop them. The general says that they are headed in our direction. The man hopes that our mafia will be able to defeat the infidels, the vegetarians that they will not be able to reach our city.
The man watches as YLC awakes. He begins to explore again, but he falls. His head hangs over the edge of the pit, and he realizes what death we had prepared for him. He was lucky to escape the trap we set for him, but we will not be deterred. As he sleeps, the man comes into the cell. The man sets up a wooden frame and lays YLC on it. The man deftly ties sturdy knots with a single rope. He is tied securely and will not be able to escape, but his left arm is left free so he can eat, and his chest is left bare. Nothing will get in the path to his heart.
Hours pass. The enemy still approaches. IThe man hears news of defeats everywhere. How much longer will we be able to hold up? They still approach. They will be here soon. The city is preparing. The men collect weapons and gather at night to hold whispered councils. The man, as a guard, also have a duty. When they arrive, the beef mafia will fight too.
The pendulum is swinging, swinging. The man can always hear the creaking as metal rubs against wood. Slowly, slowly it descends toward him. A fraction of a millimeter every minute. Now the man can detect fear in YLC eyes. He knows his fate. He sees the blade swinging, death descending upon him slowly, slowly... The man chuckle. Now does he wish that he had fallen into the hole? It seems welcome now compared to what he now faces.
The city is preparing for the impending attack of veggies, but the man watch over the prisoner still. Both of them are waiting: YLC with growing dread and The man with growing impatience. How much longer will this take? But the man knows that in the end, the waiting will be rewarded. The man will see the pain in his face as the blade digs into his flesh, slowly descending toward his heart. At last the infidel will receive his doom.
Now is the time. The pendulum swings just centimeters above his chest. He is beginning to get desperate. He exhales every time the blade swings over him, trying to avoid the fatal blade. Now the blade touches his shirt, shredding it. The mans rubs his hands together and watch as he frantically struggles with his bonds.
He grabs the remnants of the meat the man had provided him with and starts rubbing it on the ropes holding him down. The man think he is going crazy. But then the rats swarm over him. The man can tell that they are gnawing on the meat-saturated ropes. The man curses silently. Why did I have to leave meat? The rats begin to gnaw and with that YLC look at the man straight in the eyes and smiles for he has won the beef mafia will get no pleasure from this. YLC has won and with that final victory he dies.

Why? Its not particularly down to WE and Yaropolk. There's no reason to jump on the first bandwagon that forms, that's how the town lost W&F's game.

The first bandwagon would be against Yarapolk and as you already see, he has the most votes. I doubt it is Yarapolk and just because he is the Mafia in another game, it could now mean he could even be a detective or the doctor and him getting lynched just because he was the Mafia in the other game would be a stupid mistake.
However, both Khaan and Reenk Roink are convinced it is White_Eyes:D and he hasn't denied it. It could be the case that the dead players are correct.
Also, your vote for Diana Abnoba is a pure WIFOM. It would be like if I was in the game and I was Mafia and YLC was in the game. I could kill him, but then, he would nag all game saying I purposefully killed him and because of that, I could get lynched, on the other hand, I could keep him alive and in the end game situation, he would turn everyone against me. Either way, would you find it suspicious if White_Eyes:D purposely kept Reenk and Khaan alive for that very purpose?

I voted for Diana because I don't like the logic of "WE would kill these people, they died, he is guilty". It's just as much WIFOM as you say the logic for my vote is. It wouldn't be hard for someone to kill them and get a bandwagon started on WE for this very reason.
Also, just because Reenk and Khaan are dead, doesn't mean they have any more information than we do. They are probably working from the same assumption as Diana..

But Yarapolk is not lurking, infact he was even the opening post. Him making that first post just placed him right onto the firing line and the Mafia could easily vote for Yarapolk using that same exact logic you are using, it also tops it up that you are just voting for Yarapolk because some one else did.
As for revenge of the dead ghosts, I had a strong gut feeling that Lord Winter was the killer, while a lesser one on Yarapolk. It turned out that Lord Winter was the killer. If anything, my gut feeling is telling me that Yarapolk is most likely innocent or a pro-town role as for some reason, I have the feeling that lynching him is a bad idea.
On the other hand, no offence, I have no real gut feelings about you, so gut feeling that some one is innocent then the other accusation about some one who I don't have the same gut feeling about, I think it is a safer risk to lynch you.

So, he's not denying that he would think about killing Reenk and Khaan first, and if we don't lynch him now he might say I told you so later? I don't buy it. This isn't set in stone, if we get toward the end of the round and don't have a clear target, lynch WE's. But, saying he is the best lynch right now just helps create a handy bandwagon for the mafia to hide behind.

I called you out on your lying, so you changed your vote against me. It says enough about your case to execute you. You lie and cheat the town to try to get things your way. If you can lie about who even voted for Yarapolk first, you can easily lie saying you didn't kill those two, even though you said if you was Mafia, you would do. Too much of a coincidence, murderer.

Beskar, why would he lie about something that can easily be shown? It's not like he changed the thread to make it look like he voted Yaropolk first. Jumping on one of the first people accused doesn't help the town. Unvote, Vote: Beskar.

When you read what he said, did you go to the previous page to check if that was actually the case or did you take it for granted that he was automatically telling the truth?
Again, you vote for some one voting against White_Eyes:D while you ignore the people voting for Yaropolk like Ichigo who are obviously bandwagoning, hm?

Backlash against people who won the last game that ended is common around here. I don't like your case against WE and I don't like the fact that you're acting like it's some sort of actual evidence. My vote against Diana was to try and draw her into a reaction, but it provoked one from you instead. Why are you convinced of WE's guilt this quickly? Could you lay it out in point form for me, I don't feel like reading too much text.

Re: That Cold Winter
I am provoking a reaction from him, especially because the dead were convinced, and he has resorted to distorting the truth and even admitted basically doing it. Also, it creates conversation for others to get involved with.
All in sort, I am doing the town a big favour.

My beef is mainly that you seem so convinced by what's really not that strong of a case. The dead are just as capable of being wrong as anyone else and I honestly don't see what WE's had to gain by lying about being the first to vote Yaropolk. Creating conversation is all well and good, but not when the conversation is limited to two or three people.

I said you seem so convinced. Meaning that is my impression, because I am not a mind reader. Although, I probably shouldn't have voted for you just because I don't like the way you're going about this. Unvote: Beskar.

I'm now getting an impression that White eyes and Beskar are purposely starting this knowing that Yarpolik is a safe fallback choice. :juggle2:
Of course Beskar could just be suspicious like before, I recall him doing so in Swords of the Moon. My recommendation stays on my pal with the whitest eyes and largest grin.

You made a mistake, as I didn't vote for Yaropolk or suggested voting for him. So how can he be a safe fallback choice?

I posted my suspicion of CB because it would stimulate discussion, and it did. I leave it up to you to make your own judgement on similarities of the writeup. Centurion - don't be naughty and stifle discussion. It's counterproductive even if you're a townie.
Now on to the real villain here:

I mean really Ichigo? Jumping 3rd on the 1st bandwagon you see without even posting a reason? I really think you're smarter than that. I say classic mafia move: vote: Ichigo
And I encourage other to do so as well.
P.S. I am also interested to know why ReenkRoink and Khaan think White_Eyes did it. Is it just personal vendetta?
P.P.S. Beskar is putting himself on the line to protect me using his convictions. I am in no way related to Beskar. He has no idea if I am mafia or not. If you don't believe me then follow this reasoning: If we are both mafia, then he's risking a lynch, and if he dies and then exposed as mafia, chances are I am the next lynch. If he is mafia, it's not worth for him to defend me whether I am pro-town or not.

Yeah that write up is not my style my style in fillet royale was to do it like a gothic horror piece whereas the one at the start just seems to me to be more short and to the point.

Yes, I just scapegoated both of you guys in Ugg, but that's not a reason to take it out on me. I was mafia there, it was my job. Take a look at my posts in Asterix and in Rubicon. In both cases I was an innocent townie and posted an organizational strategy in the first few rounds. In both cases I was killed by mafia almost immediately. I am trying that now again. If there is no discussion, the lurkers win.

How so? Nothing you've said takes away the fact that Yaropolk could easily be a fallback for you guys. It doesn't matter if you went for him or not in the thread...
