Sign up for a simple and fun game involving birds!

Because that's not ominous or anything.

4. There are no cults in this game, it is Town versus Mafia

I am quickly approaching my limit WRT mafia, but as I am fairly certain that I am the only one here who is already a bird I don't see how I can possibly resist joining the fun.

Here's the thing. You said a "jackdaw is a crow."
Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.
As someone who is a scientist who studies crows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls jackdaws crows. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.
If you're saying "crow family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Corvidae, which includes things from nutcrackers to blue jays to ravens.
So your reasoning for calling a jackdaw a crow is because random people "call the black ones crows?" Let's get grackles and blackbirds in there, then, too.
Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A jackdaw is a jackdaw and a member of the crow family. But that's not what you said. You said a jackdaw is a crow, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the crow family crows, which means you'd call blue jays, ravens, and other birds crows, too. Which you said you don't.
It's okay to just admit you're a good game host, you know?

God, I can't believe someone would get so wound up over something so unbelievably trivial. Who the hell cares? Unidan, apparently. Also all his alternate accounts he used for vote manipulation. Pathetic.

I imagine this game is going to be not that serious. More of a humorous interactive story, like Nobody is Hosting This Mafia.

You play to read the writeups and get a birdly name. Catching the bird mafia is probably tertiary to the whole experience.

I do remember the gameroom has always been fairly apolitical. Mostly because once it gets political, actual moderation is needed around these parts, and speaking as a former gameroom moderator, we certainly don't need that kinda stuff.

Game play:

• Game begins with a Day phase
• On Day One, after everyone has posted once, day will last for 24 more hours
• Nights will last for about 24 hours or until I've received all orders. If this gets excessive you'll miss your action. If you are an inactive mafia, your kill will be randed, and it may land on yourself to end the game.

You are a bird, in a habitat with other birds, and you wake up and do birdly things. But it seems like the pigeon has been dismantled. All that's left are blood and feathers.
