Re: Shogun 2 - hatamoto mode?
A short answer for Suraknar,
I hope I'll be able to add some in the near future to answer other issues.
I find myself advocating for a strange idea. Maybe we'll never see it in TW but I think the hatamoto mode can ad something to the feel of the game. It should be an option both in Sp and Mp. It is never meant to replace any features of the game but to add a more realistic dimension to the gaming experience. Generals went and fought when they had to. It was done in other games. Again it should be an option at least in SP.
When going in hatamoto, the camera should lock to the level of the general's unit (or even on the general himself as an individual) as it is when you go from in classic view to the bottom of the field or you are forced to follow your single unit (routing, for ex.). You will see everything that happens from your general unit level as you can see it, again, in the normal game play when following your own unit.
The action will continue as in the normal game throughout the battlefield when in hm. I figure the "hatamotomode" as for very secure or desperate situations or when you have deployed all your troops into hand to hand combat and want to give them a boost with the bonuses provided by going in hm.
That's about it for now.
Thank you for considering my idea.
