A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia [Concluded]
The old man, CountArach walked down the long, winding street towards his old folks home. They were serving tapioca tonight and he never liked to turn up late for that. He felt ahead of himself with his cane, making sure he wasn't going to trip over one of those "skates bordes" that the kids were all talking about these days. Damn kids.
A car started to drive up the street, an SUV, loaded with some of those damn hooligan kids. He could hear their music from here. CountArach reached into his ear and turned his hearing aid down a bit. Much better.
The car continued up the road, slowing down slightly to pull up next to him.
"Hey you!" a voice called from the car, laughter following it.
CountArach halted and turned towards it, keeping his cane nearby, prepared to strike at a moments notice.
"You ever played beer catch before?" The same voice asked, starting a fresh chorus of laughter. What could they possibly be laughing at.
Then it hit CountArach. Not the thought - that had gone way over his head. Instead, the beer can, on the other hand, had not missed. He fell over, then blanked out.
The Constable received an irate call the next day.
*************************
This is the new Mafia game. As usual, there are two teams. These teams are:
1. The members of the old-folks home
2. The beer can throwing hooligans
The roles:
2 Hooligans - They get to do two immature (Albeit hilarious things) each night to two different old folks. They are to provide me with a basic outline of what they want to do - I shall write up the actual "kills".
1 Nurse - The basic doctor role.
1 Constable - The basic detective role
The rest are townies. The townie PM will be provided in this thread. There will perhaps be a secret role, perhaps not.
Voting is done in the usual way. Players will be WoGed after 3 full days (ie 6 full phases) without a vote. No Lynch is not allowed, and instead wail be counted as an Abstain.

Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
Alright, let the game begin! We shall start with a 48 hour day phase
BEGIN
Here is the Townie PM:
Quote:
Old Folk
You are an old member of the Old Folk’s home (Who would have thought?) and are probably somewhat annoyed with these recent whipper-snappers who have the gall to throw things at you. Why you are so annoyed, you cannot figure out. Perhaps because you are a Vietnam veteran? You seem to have forgotten that entire section of your life, but anyway that is all behind you.
As an Old Folk it is your job to try to get the Hooligans lynched by voting during the day. Unfortunately, you site is not so good, so you cannot see just who the Hooligans are, but you know that only through arresting them will justice be brought about.

Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
48 hours... of doing what exactly?
- Will the game start with a lynching?
- Are we going to post our incriminating pre-game chatter?
- Stay silent and wait for the hooligans to do their thing?
-
Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
Ah.. this game starts out great.
vote:Beefy for bad logic.

Ok then... I voted you because there was no logic behind your vote. Ergo, you are acting scummy wanting to kill poor Robin. :beam: If this is not hooliganish, then my eyesight must be really poor.

Sigurd (my partner) asked me to post something intelligent, being incapable of that, I can only come up with..............
Ok, so I gotta vote, wait, so early in the morning?
How dare you wake up an old man that early? :furious3:

Hahaha.:inquisitive:
You'll soon find out that that doesn't make me guilty in the slightest.
You weird people have never lynched me for a good reason anyway but then it's not like I only vote for guilty people either. I also remember shooting Sigurd in the back in Korea once, was a silly mistake but luckily he survived.:sweatdrop:

That really wasn't helpful at all. If you continue this way during the game, it might be difficult for the town.
[JOKE] And you're gonna get lynched eventually... [/JOKE]

I'll vote: Abstain because I really shouldn't have gone on this site since I'm supposed to be doing my Music Research assignment that's due tomorrow and it's 10:40pm. :sweatdrop:

unvote, vote: Zain...
The logic behind my vote - Third on the Beefy bandwagon. That makes you a hooligan m8!!!
No Old folk would fall in such a trap. It speaks of inexperience.
I guess you like to throw beer cans at us huh? If it hadn't been for my old back wound (Thanks alot Hus) I would have kicked your @ss from here to Cambodia where your Khmer buddies hide.

Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
What does it matter if I was the fourth bandwagon? Stupid traditions get people nowhere.
Plus, this is only my third mafia...
-
Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
I never understood that 3rd on the bandwagon is guilty rule. Has that EVER proved true? Not in either of the two games which I've played. Why do people still believe in it? Or is it just tradition for the first round? If so then I guess it's as good a reason as any to kill someone in the first round.

Nah, statistics show that forth on the wagon usually are townie.

He was questioning the rule.
Good luck to you all, I must leave for school.
-
Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
No im not going to do this for the whole game. Just when i have no clue or round 1. So what am i supposed to do as a good townie? When theres been no kills and not much case (except mine) going on?:sweatdrop:
Im actually doing the town some favour. Creating bandwaggon on round 1. I should least get a pat on the head.
-
Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
The hat you're wearing (in your avatar) would hurt my hand.
-
Re: A Tale of Beer and Old People! - New Mafia
nah pat the middle bit it wont hurt:laugh4:
or ill take it off for you
Anyway im not actually trying to lynch Robin. Im against the idea of lynching people in the first round (especially when theres been no kills) like some people who decided to lynch poor innocent Beefy on round one just because im gonna get lynched eventually
2 more to Thermopolae (300 posts)!!

Unvote: BSR Vote: Sarathos
Just remembered the conversation at school. Only person who could get lynched just as much as I do is Sarathos. I spam and He lurks. So as a populer lynching target I take pride in my way of getting lynched "Spamming" and I will vote for him because I believe "Lurkers Pride" is not the way to go.
Sorry for spamming. I wanted to get 300 posts before I go to sleep:shame:

A question. If someone is bandwagoning based on Sigurd's "third on the wagon" rule and they happen to be third on Sigurd's wagon, does that make them guilty as well?
I know, your heads are all about to explode from the awesomeness of that reasoning.

That post reads like a copy of one(or more) of your posts in Mafia VII, as if you were trying to use your "standard behaviour", trying to build up credibility?

Instead of paying attention to the similarity between this posts and previous posts, you might want to comment on the statement, which is a very valid one...

Voting for me doesn't match your logic. I didn't know about the third bandwagon rule, I don't care what Sigurd thinks/belives, and I think my head did explode.

Whether it encourages discussion or not, most mafiosi would want to lynch innocent townies because that helps their cause more than abstaining and makes them less suspicious. That could also be your intent for voting shlin, he's a good lynch candidate and you found a nice reason to lure others into lynching an innocent townie for you.

So, voting somebody for a good reason is scummy? :inquisitive:
Mafiosi don't want to lynch innocent townies, they kill at night and hope for the town to lynch the wrong guy. The town always lynches somebody. They have to in order to win the game.
In every game, most of the lynches are innocent townies. As long as it generates alot of discussion, it is well worth the sacrifice. Eventually, we'll get a decent amount of posts to analyse once we reach mid or endgame.
You should know all of that already, Husar.

Haven't played with you in a while, but as I remember it, you most certainly have never been this offensive in the early game. Is this a way of framing innocent townies, or are you simply trying to create honest discussion?
