A deep night… wind lashed the small German village. It had many names; all as random as the next. At the local tavern, afamilar scene of joy in the town, the door was thumped open and a bolt of lightening lit up the sky. The door slammed shut and a black cloaked man entered. He sweeped aside his long coat and sat upon a stool glaring around the tavern. When approached by the keeper he roughly answered;
“Beer.” And continued his code of silence. As the beer was brought down upon the table the bar manager put forward a steady hand.
“Money first; drink later.” He demanded. The man looked at him and then stood. There were several groups of people in the bar.
“No.” He said quietly. The mug was withdrawn.
“No pay; no beer. That’s rules, don’t follow ‘em and I can kick you out of here.” Told the bar keeper. The man nodded.
“So be it.” He drew a long barreled Toulouse pistol and aimed it exactly at the bar managers head. Someone screamed and people ran for the door but it burst open and stood there a similar cloaked man, wielding a Long Barrelled Dutch Combination Gun. He raised it and fired. Black smoke billowed out and a man charging him flew backwards and smashed into a table before lieing in a pool of blood. The smoke was in black fumes as the bar manager richotted off the shelf of wines before falling to the floor. Bottle upon bottle smashed and wine leaked everywhere; also covering the sounds of violence as the tavern go’ers were massacred. Wine mixed with blood and it seeped under the door as it snapped shut on those many lives, the killers stalking off into the night.
In Rome, in a dark alley way and Papal Cardinal stood waiting behind a wooden door. No one could see him and prayed no one would. The door opened it out came a poorly dressed man.
“Order…” He muttered looking for them in his pockets. He grinned (Showing a few missing teeth) and handed over the documents. The Cardinal flicked him some coins before exiting the shabby alleyway. He unscrolled the document and read it.
You are to go to this village marked on the map. The French are rumored to be attacking it, stop them, but the Germans aren’t to win either. We don’t want a full scale war nor do we want a German victory. You’re to stop them. Kill with God’s help and use source’s of information and God’s spies to find information. GO with the Lord’s speed.
It wasn’t signed or anything. He pocketed it and ordered a coach to go, he was leaving right then.
The Village Leader stood at the doorway to the tavern before wheeling around and vomiting. The people who had killed them obviously had no mercy. The killers were rumored to be the French, a large army was also rumored to be heading straight for this important village. He turned around to rally his 12 village people, those remaining from the population. But he was pulled away.
“Should you not be hidden?” asked a Villager. He thought it over.
“If these French killers find you they’ll slaughter you. The town will crumble without your support and the Army will glide in here. Don’t wish that upon us.” The Village Leader nodded and accompanied the Villager to a secret location. He wouldn’t and that was explained secretly to the people. The Villager who helped him was killed alter that night.
Only thirteen were left.
Roles:
Villager: Their role in the game is exactly the same as a Townie in other games. Vote to lynch the enemy. (8)
Gerdemaire: French Mafia who have come to this German Village, a important offensive town, to rid of its Village Leader so the Army can move in. One kill per night. Both have to confirm the kill. There is also the chance of their pistols or musket misfiring. (2)
Village Leader: When the Gerdemaire came the Village Leader was instantly hidden by the Villagers. Now the Gerdemaire are out to kill him. If he dies then the Villagers have one day to lynch the remaining Gerdemaire. If they don’t then the French win. Basiclly a normal Townie with thse added responsibilities. (1)
Papal Cardinal: A Cardinal visiting the Village from the Papal States on a unknown mission… His goal is obvious; to make sure neither Gerdemaire nor Villagers win. TO do so he/she has to play the sides off against each other with out letting one win… He can also investigate and can use the knowledge to his advantage. (1)
Deputy: The Deputy is Deputy to the Village Leader. He can protect someone three times a game; or they can investigate someone (Has a 50% chance of spot on results) Basiclly a normal townie but with these added abilities. (1)
Normal Mafia Rules. You all know how to lynch people, f not see the rules in one of the stickies. No screenshots. You may quote of course! Also Role Reveal (Certain parts of the Role PM can not be revealed, if so you shall be killed by a deranged outsider.
Mafia may choose what weapons to use:
Wheellock Pistol
Flintlock Musket
Rapier
Crossbow
Cannon
Pistols and cannons have a chance of misfiring but a more certain kill. Cannons may also explode and means Gerdemaire can not kill for one night.
If Village Leader is killed then the Villagers have only one night to kill at least ONE of the Gerdemaire. Doing so means they win, if not the Villagers lose. Every Villager shall know who the Leader is. The Village Leader may choose one person to act as a shield that night.
The chances of the Papal Cardinal winning are slim but it is possible.
