Disappearing Siege Equipment

A couple of days ago a full stack Mongol army besieged me in Acre. When the battle overview screen thing came up I checked their army, noticed it had a few rams, towers, ladders etc, then saved and quit.

Next day I reloaded. Noticed when I clicked on the Mongol army it had no siege equipment listed. Started the battle, and got told I had victory as soon as I finished deployment.

This happened to anyone before?

I don't usually save right before a battle unless its for a PBM, but there we never ran into this problem.

Are you sure that Mongol army didn't have very heavily depleted infantry so that they weren't sufficient to man any of the siege equip? (You can still start the battle as long as you have 1 infantryman, but that doesn't mean you don't lose as soon as you start it)

It was the classic Mongol stack, complete with a few units of Mongol Foot Archers and Mongol Infantry.

Never have seen it disappear, but once they just let 3 perfectly fine one sit and do nothing until time ran out while their elephants parked in front of the gate and did no damage until they were killed and routed. The save game probably got corrupted by Bill Gates or Homeland Security snooping around overnight because all of our computers have "suspicious" words in them from M2TW.
