However, I think the problem might be that I installed it in my secondary Rome folder (I installed Rome, patched it to 1.5, copied it twice, then un/re-installed it, patched ready for Barbarian Invasion)
A recent experience with a similar Medieval II problem seems to indicate that Vista won't allow this trick, which XP did.
So hopefully, a simple re-installation of Rome will work.
LorDBulA, I wasn't using short-cuts at all.
