    Default Somatophylakes Strategou spears?

I did a search and couldn't find anyone who has asked this. In my KH campaign, I noticed that the general's bodyguard's (Somatophylakes Strategou) have waay shorter spears than other hoplites. They are more akin to Thorakitai and Theuropoi's spear length than those of other classical hoplites. I was just wondering if this was intentional or is something is amiss (maybe I messed up something, I've been screwing with the EDU a bit). Or perhaps historically, these hoplites used shorter spears?

I think the problem is that the regular Hoplitai have too long of spears on certain detail levels...

Isn't it an animation issue when it comes down to it?

And why does the hoplitai in Eb have this awkard long looking spear? Does the model really proportionally represent the 8 feet long spear of the hoplites?

    It's a graphical/animation bug.

There is also about a thingie...when hoplites are standing still, their spears are on one size, when they move, the spear magicly become shorter than they actually are....i would say Merlin is the responsible, and Albert Einstein would be my second bet

Most hoplites have spears that are too long. It's a hang-over from when everyone was fighting in RTW phalanx formation.
