Hey was just wondering if anyone knew if the video editor for Rome is compatible with EB 1.1, I've added the -movie_cam to the end of the command line in the single player properties. Which produced an error message, then loaded the game without the editor.
Im lost so any help is good
It's compatible, just that there's a weird way to add it into the single player shortcut, which I don't happen to know.
If you have the trivial script installed, you need to edit the ebconfig.xml file in the RTW dir. Open it with a text editor and search for "exe" or something and it should take you to the shortcut line. Just add your shortcut info there. It was on line 215 for me. I have it edited to look like this:
Code:
<ID>RtwStart</ID>
<Type>String</Type>
<Values>
<Text>RomeTW-BI.exe -mod:eb -show_err -movie_cam</Text>
</Values>
LorDBulA 07:06 04-30-2008
or add to shortcut
Code:
-rtwoptions " -movie_cam"
V.T. Marvin 11:10 04-30-2008
This sound intriquing to me!
I did not know about this feature, could someone please explain a bit what it does, how it works and whether it is usable for campaign or only for custm battles? Thanks in advance!
The movie_cam command line removes camera restrictions from the battle replays. You can now position your camera anywhere you want, be it on (or below) the ground or high above it. However, the engine only allows replays from custom and MP battles, but not campaign, so you cannot record your campaign battles like that.
