    Default Changing the campaign length...

    Hi guys.

I've started a new campaign as England and I've selected a short campaign by mistake. Now I know I can just restart it which is no big deal, I'm only 20 turns in. I just wondered if anyone knows of a way to amend the campaign length halfway through?

    Just curious really.

No. All changes to the desc_strat (which is how you make it longer) only take effect at the game start, which is how play by e-mail games work so well.

To make it longer, (this is from memory) go to the desc_strat file, under where the playable/unlockable/unplayable factions are should be:

    campaign start date
    campaign end date

Modify those (may not be those exact names, but very close) and that will extend/shorten your campaign.

I think MedManager can modify savegames in that regard. Not sure if it works with the new patch versions though.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I've looked at the start/end date pevergreen but that's as it should be; 1080-1530, so it's not that one (That was my first thought too).

I'll check out MedManager, thanks for that Faction and Northnovas. I think I might restart it anyway once I've mopped the French up. I get to wipe out the Scots again.
