    - hit End Turn
    - waited ~15 seconds, which isn't bad, actually
    - started the script
    - saw the crazy campaign map lag kick in
    - uninstalled

Maybe I'll give it another try when I have a better computer (or when the EB team gets around to optimizing their script, instead of rellying on script generators so much).
disable shadows and "follow AI movements"...

    Ahem!

I have already noted this elsewhere twice - but I really feel it hasn't been taken notice of sufficiently.

The EBBS: Increase Scroll Speed modification in the sub-forum has increased my scroll speed so much, that scrolling on the campaign map is like scrolling on the Desktop.
Something I did not even receive in Vanilla.

In addition, my turn times are less than 20 seconds, (Provided you remember that after 2 hours things slow down again - because of memory loss), and even battles load much faster - I no longer wait staring at the two armies zoomed in for a minute before loading.

There isn't any major surgery involved, though the script is cut from approx. 12 to 6MB, there isn't any difference in gameplay besides the difference in Client Rulers, (explained properly in the official thread), and of course, 6x speeds...

So all of you, please, download the script.

For those who love multiplayer, fear not, this affects only singleplayer, and will not stop you from joining MP games.

Pooping time is usually measured in Newspaper sheets.

How many can you read before you're all done Gertrude?

    (Finished spamming as of now.)

No major surgery? With half of script cut out, damn I hope I never will have such minor surgery done :)

6x speeds? In my experience, only 50% quicker.
Anyway check out EB 1.1 fixes soon there will be EBBS file that should cut your wait times by 40% to 50% without removing Client rulers script.

Read the background script with a text editor for why it's a minor change.

Well I wrote quite few EB scripts once upon a time so I know EBBS inside out.
Anyway EBBS speed fix is available right now and this cut waiting time for me from 40+ sec to 22-23s and no client ruler script makes it 22s so its just not worth it for 1 second gain.

    Almost 2 min...

Three or four minutes, I'm really not sure. I generally spend it doing chores or pumping iron--anything to be more productive than Gertrude's generation of poop. Of course, that's much of what he generates around here, so that's hardly surprising. . .

My Athlon 4000+ with 2GB RAM and X800XL Graphic card copes with EB quite easily on highest graphic settings (minus shadows and glints).
Turn wait time depends quite on lot on the mood of the computer: usually 30-50 seconds - with the original Client ruler script. I am looking forward to the optimized one - great job bovi.

BTW - IMO Client rulers are worth the additional wait time, it is great feature and it would be pity to simply cut it out...

5-10 seconds, with script optimization running on Alex.exe

    Core2Duo 1.86ghz
    3gb RAM
    8800gts 640mb Graphics Card

No problems what-so-ever. Make sure you stop unneccessary proccesses in msconfig because it really makes a difference

    Interesting.
    I have Core2Duo 1.8 and I get 22seconds with optimized script.
I have 4GB of RAM so any significant difference is graphic card (7300GT).

    What system are you running?

Optimised script? Speed fix? I'm confused - where can we download those things?

XP, but remember that there are an infinite number of possible differences between systems. I remember when someone with the exact same hardware and drivers as mine, running same operating system was trying to run Bioshock. Runs perfectly on my machine, crashes after two seconds on his.
