The game is nearing the halfway point. Here is a summary of my progress so far.

So, here's my faction leader. His name is Muhammad, his occupation is the Brutal Tyrant of India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Iran, and Iraq, as well as the Master of the Arabian sea and the Great Admiral of Indian Ocean.

He likes fishing, tennis, croquet, checkers (chinese and domestic), long walks on the beach, and tearing the hearts out of his victims and feasting upon their flesh.

had to disband a lot of knightly order troops this turn when i found out they were sapping my economy, still wasn't willing to get rid of all of them though. Anyway. Took half of Cyprus and currently share the island with the Romans, am unsure if I want to war with them currently, got my sights on Aleppo and will try to take on their horse archer stack next turn. Maybe.

Snuck a Night Fighter general with an all-cavalry stack to take the city of Baghdad. After destroying the Caliph and his garrison, my second stack joined the party and went night fighter on every single one of these fools.

After much bloodshed, my Prince Amir has 10 command stars and is brutally scarred. He wipes the entrails off of his body and annihilates the last of them.




After much battling, this is all that remains of me... and of them. I have nearly a full stack, they barely have 1.5, all depleted. They fought like children and ran like dogs.

You should be warned I'm already facing two KoJ factions in two different duels, and doing quite well I might add. Oman is actually gaining on Jerusalem in one, and the Ghorids are vastly superior to Jerusalem in the other. Oman just took Baghdad.

Events since last report:

Russia has conquered Scandinavia, Arhus, Stettin, Thorn, Krakow, and several other provinces. A minor Scottish invasion force consisting of their faction leader and a .5 stack of heavy cavalry has been repelled. They flee now into Danish territory, or what remains of it.

In the meanwhile, Portugal, Spain, and England have taken advantage of Scotland's unwise gamble to invade Russian lands so early, and Scotland is having difficulty repelling the invaders.

Lesson of the day: Take care of the AI first, because wars against humans leave little troops to spare for defending your flanks from AI forces.

Scotland has contacted us regarding a concession, but I feel it is too soon in the war to offer unconditional surrender. We've even offered to suspend the war until they repel the invaders, and we've offered them Russian arms to assist if necessary. However, the strategic situation is clear. Russia is not threatened by any power, and we have crippled two factions already and have repelled a third. Scotland is crumbling before AI invaders.

Should they quit now, it would be understandable, but I take no pleasure in putting this game so prematurely in the win column for me.

Our twin stacks of Russian mafia are chasing down the Scottish invaders as we speak, and threatening to obliterate their allies in the process. Ranged and javelin horsemen, heavy spears, and 4 generals versus a half stack of heavy knights is not an even matchup. Still, I'd like them to fight a battle with me before conceding.

I'd like to once again thank all my challengers for the good fights they have given me. I may joke from time to time about wanting to annihilate your people, but I sincerely do appreciate the games I've played with all.

Jerusalem has destroyed the Ayyubids and is expanding well, and were a powerful faction to begin with. Oman, on the other hand, has had to struggle through the early game. Oman has nearly obliterated the Abassid Caliphate and is stinking filthy rich from sacking Baghdad, and our forces have doubled and tripled these past several turns. We are now prepared to invade Sindh and India, and our naval forces cannot be matched, nor our standing armies now. Jerusalem still maintains a slight lead in some of the graphs due to number of territories they own, and the quality of their forces, however Oman who was way behind Jerusalem is now tied or in the lead in some categories. He's just joking, but I feel obliged to point out that I wouldn't do that for the following reasons:

1. I'm moderating my own hotseat at the moment, and if I were to be accused of cheating, it could damage my reputation and no one would ever want to hotseat with me again. Ouch.

2. I don't need to cheat to win... lol. As you will all see when our tournament duels are hosted by players other than myself. I'd rather neither player host the game, so cheating would be impossible. That way even joking accusations like that won't make sense.

3. I actually sent that mercenary ship down there to scout the area, and when I saw his navy within range of attacking me, I thought; well, why not go down fighting. So I attacked and prepared to die, whilst taking his forces with me. Needless to say I was surprised I won.
