Thread: Guard against missles?

  1. #1

    Default Guard against missles?

Does having "guard" turned on reduce the impact of missle fire upon your troops?

I think so? It increases shield if I'm not wrong.

I don't think it increases your shield...

It does keep your units from turning their sides or backs to the arrows. So this way they are protected from their shields at all times (unless you make them run the other way ofcourse).

Where did you get that from?

AFAIK all guard mode does is to keep your units from breaking formation. I don't think it helps against missiles.

Yep. It does nothing to help against missile damage.

Whoops. My bad. My troops seemed to do a bit better with guard mode on, though. I plead 'empirical observation and past experience', Your Honour.

That's just due to them not losing stamina as fast when using guard mode.

Another reason for being a rationalist.

That is entirely possible, yes. But between standing still on guard mode receiving arrows, and standing still not on guard mode receiving arrows, it's highly unclear what stamina could be lost ;-)
