Be assured I did look, there was no ferret section in the wikimedia heraldry place but I scanned through the weasel section and some otters as well but nothing was to my liking. Shame I know but perhaps I'll bump into something better...

No, it is actually a rather large loophole in my in any case rather loose rules. So feel free to use it.

I'm seeing the transparency in the PNGs fine, and so should everyone else with a modern browser. I think IE6 was the last not to support PNG transparency. I would recommend using transparent backgrounds because the forum has a number of different themes, and some of us use the non-default one, making it impossible for you to predict what our background color is.

Indeed. The only reason I am curious is because the Orders big one seemed to be keeping a white background for PK last night. Oh well. Then of course there is the signature ones, which are .gifs so i have to .org them anyway.
