Just to clarify Cicero, do you want all our R1 predictions before the first game?

I think you just have to have your predictions in before the start of the game you're predicting don't you?

Anyway, here are my predictions for Sunday:

    Match Day 2 (8th June):

    Croatia 3 - 0 Austria

    Germany 0 - 1 Poland

There seems to be a lot of talk about the Croatians as dark horses, I can't see them doing anything other than dominating the Austrians (who let's face it, would be unlikely even to be there if they weren't hosting the thing) unless the Austrians get a major boost from the home crowd.

As for Germany Poland, out of loyalty to my Polish friend (who has been irrepressibly gloomy ever since he heard Poland would be in Germany's group again) I must go against my better judgement and predict that the Poles will pull the first upset of the tournament.

Also, looks like the Czech Republic have their excuse prepared for the event of an unsuccessful campaign: link

Before the actual kick-off of the game you're predicting.

    Match Day 1.
Final prediction: Switzerland 1 - 1 Czech Republic
    *Portugal 1-0 Turkey Sure Bet*

Who dare wins. Anyway a loss in day 1 is not much of a consequnce, the real points are gonna be won in the later rounds of the tournament. At least I'll be either among the top or last after this rather risky prediction.

    My predictions:

    Match Day 1.
*Switzerland 0 - 1 Czech Republic Sure Bet*
    *Portugal 2-1 Turkey Sure Bet*

I think i will have to do my day 2 and 3 predictions as well as i may not be able to get it in during the weekend. But i will do them in separate posts so that i can edit them later.

To atheotes: I stated in the rules that editing posts with your final predictions on it is strictly not allowed. Please don't do this again. As for the Italy match if you wish to change your score then do it as soon as you can. This rule is quite arguable but I think it's best to keep it that way.

So we're not allowed to edit at all? Not just not allowed after kick-off? I tend to edit a lot to fix spelling etc. so gonna be losing a lot of points if that's the rule

Oops... my bad for not reading the rules properly I am sorry Quintus... i will not edit my prediction posts again... i will remove the "i might edit" message from the prediction for match day 3 so as not to confuse or mislead anyone else that editing is allowed prior to kick off.

    Matchday 3 Predictions

    Romania 1-2 France (1800)

[Would love to see Romania pull something out of this game, and
possibly without Ribéry playing against them(?),
    and a comparatively
settled side themselves, I could almost see them getting a result.
They can defend very well, and have fine players in Chivu, Mutu and
Marica, but I think might just have to be predictable myself to get
    some points on the board.]

    Italy 2-0 Netherlands (2045)

[I can only hope I'm wrong, but I think there are too many injuries
for the Dutch, and I think the holding midfielders are too hit and
    miss.]

What happened there Louis? No creativity, couldn't keep the ball, didn't seem to care-if you'd been wearing white I would have thought I was watching England.

The leader board is updated again. Ser Clegane , who led the table from day 1 is deposed by LittleGrizzly after his daring 'sure bet' paid off. While a number of players are on 100. Most of the newly joined players have now got their first points.

So? You say Austria had done its worst regarding what's expected out of them and he's asking for their best. I can see nothing wrong here.

Well, football isn't fair to industrious and enthusiastic tournament hosts, is it? That was the kind of start
that had them 3-0 up against the Dutch. But a goal saps their confidence. They collapsed in that game,
and I can't see them coming back now if they don't get a goal before half-time.

Germany to go through on penalties.

Portugal have looked better than the Germans in the group stage but Germany always go up a gear in the knockout rounds.
