That one only shows up on heroes.
That one only shows up on heroes.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Found the text file, and it's there allright.
Shows the list that was pointed to is not completely covering, OR that not all v&v's in the text file were used. Expert sieger springs to mind.
So maybe some are only available to heroes, some are available to all, and we will never know

I'm not at my own computer at the moment, but I'm quite sure it was the "changes" text file.

I am interested in your views of the randomness of vices and virtues.
Obviously they are a lot more common as your empire expands and you have more generals.
I normally just wear them on the chin and only pay attention to the traits that stand out.
However in my current campaign as the Danish, nearly without exception my generals have been picking up the pride vice, knocking 2 command off them all.
This has become extremely frustrating as you have to battle a lot to gain command and to lose that command so easily is dissapointing. The extra valour is no compensation for this at all, especially as on last count 12 of my 14 decent generals have this trait.
This has me questioning the randomness of trait giving and wondering if there is some code that is faction specific as I have not played as the Danes for years.
What are your thoughts
Cheers.
I've noticed that pride can sometimes have run in a certain faction at a certain time. It's usually there from the start and lasts out the entire campaign with a lot of generals being affected.
As to the randomness of v&vs, there is a random factor, but there are also certain events and other factors that influences vices. There are the obvious ones such as marrying the king to his daughter always creates the same vice and building triggering the builder line of virtues. But also high taxes, large treasury and a large income can also trigger corruption related vices.
