Reliable again huh faction? Thanks for response...
When you say capped...do you mean that even the modding community can't increase the unit size beyond 150?
I'm not complaining...if 150 is the largest I can see, 150 is fine. Just wanted to make sure my copy is "working as intended" as I am used to 200 in mtw and rtw.
Thanks
Yeah, this is why at huge sizes, the non 60 base units have a slight advantage in numbers.
The smallest number in EDU was I think 5 or 6. The max is 60. Anything outside of those numbers will CTD.
The game uses a hardcoded multiplier for the larger settings.

Makes sense...and thanks again.
As said, just seemed smaller to me than previous titles and wanted to make sure everything was on the up and up.
Are you sure about that? I thought that the hard coded cap was 250. The multiplier on huge is 2.5 which means that if you change the amount of soldiers in the EDU you can have 250 on the battlefield. There are some players who have set the number of soldiers to 96 (gives 240 soldiers) because 250 would cause CTD's, but they have played with units of 240 men on the battlefield.

I am interested in finding where this "hard coded multiplier " is in the files. I do not think it is hard coded. Unless I am mistaken there is somewhere to set a multiplier against the base (60?) number.
But my real question is where do you set the multiplier so that you don't need to iterate a three digit number for each unit or type?
BTW I have units set to max at 240, and have set various units at between 200 for swordsmen and some other units varying between 160 and 235. My favorite is to place 160 gunmen just in front of 240 pikemen giving full effect and protection with 2 rows of guns and 3 rows of pikes: the gunmen having the security of extended pikes at there shoulders. It is by far the most effective combo I have developed. Placing some javelinmen just behind the pikes makes the most perfect formation.
But again my question is:where do you set the multiplier so that you don't need to iterate a three digit number for each unit or type?
Ignorance is the greatest threat to democracy.
I remember reading about a realism mod in twcenter that increased the maximum unit size to 250.
OP you might wanna search for that over there because I don't think I made a mistake with the numbers.

As factionheir stated the max in m2tw is 153 with captain, banner and general. In Kingdoms the number is aumented I believe to 250(?)
