Help: Vista, Kingdoms: Can't find files to edit

I have a Qosmio notebook, a brand new Windows Vista, and Kingdoms installed in the usual default place.

I cannot find the descr_strat file or any of the other files I need to modify to moderate a hotseat game, nor to make all the factions appear. I understand they are "conveniently" hidden from me and I cannot even find it using vista's horrible search tool.

Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it?
